I think this knife is a great backup EDC. The mechanism is great operationally. Yes he window breaker does occasionally loosen but it's fine once tightened. This knife is a otf so not intended for utilitarian usage. Good overall purchase for the price.

The quality and craftsmanship of this knife are outstanding. when you hold this knife you will know! The release mechanism is flawless and it is absolutely something you can depend on when needed. You will find it hard to stop extracting and retracting the blade when you first receive it, it is addicting! but no matter how many times you do it, it will not fail.

I've had a few OTF knives from other brands, and the Humvee is by far my new favorite. Super smooth action, built like a tank, and looks killer. My new EDC for sure!

I'm a knife freak. I carry a knife everywhere I go. Craftsmanship, Functionality and Design are a must in what I carry. I've stayed away from OTF's in the past because they were shaky, rattling and cheap feeling.
The Tekto HUMVEE came into my radar and I was immediately drawn to it. It was obvious it was well thought out and after a couple of youtube reviews I was sold. Now that I've had it for several weeks I can say it is one of the finest OTF knives I've seen. It is also very clear that this is more a weapon than a tool. Keep that in mind because an OTF may not be what you need. This knife is for light to medium tool usage and a mac-daddy self defense alternative. Very pleased with the HUMVEE OTF / Smart VALUE!

Quality is top notch. The aluminum handle feels solid, and the button firm when pressed to open or close the knife. It has a nice heft without being heavy. Love this knife.
