Things I liked:

A very easy upgrade, once everything is in place. The 34 I performed this upgrade on was relatively new (between 4 to 5 thousand pellets). But, there was always creaking/squeaking during cocking and the rifle was a little noisy. Reading all the reviews about this kit made me want to give it a try. The result was well worth the effort (see the other comments below). Cocking is now exceptionally smooth and the shot cycle is quiet with at least a small increase in power. I did replace the piston seal but didn't need the breech seal replaced yet.

What others should know:

I performed the process of the upgrade three times. The first time, I used the supplied lubricant and followed the instructions. The rifle was smoother to cock and was noticeably quieter during the shot cycle. But, the power seemed to decrease (no chronograph, just based on shots into a piece of plywood). Also, when thinking about it, I realized I may have inadvertently allowed lubrication on the piston pin and into the trigger. I performed the process again, removing the lubricant that made its way to the trigger assembly and put it back together again. The results were the same as before - good. But, I wanted to understand why it seemed less powerful. Although I only used 1/3 of the lubricant (still maybe too much), I decided to strip it down again. clean it, and try the Air Venturi moly paste. That was the key for me. This rifle is now cocking and shooting unbelievably well. It's quite, smooth and appears to be slightly more powerful.

Things I liked:

good spring

Things I would have changed:

buyer beware this doesn't come with the spring end seal. I think sometimes called top hat .I'm still new to air guns so bear with me. it didn't work. and now is in the junk drawer. sometime later i will use the spring in some other gun. if i can until then it was a loss of money.

What others should know:

probably the best advice is to get online make sure that you have ordered the correct spring with the end cap seal included.

Nice upgrade for a worn factory spring. Rifle is much quieter and more accurate.

    Nothing

    Things I liked:

It made the firing cycle very smooth.

    Things I would have changed:

Deliver a spring kit that will perform as advertised.

    What others should know:

I bought and tried two different PG2 HO kits. Both turned a 17 foot pound rifle into a sub 12 foot pound rifle. They dropped the velocity of a Diana 34 by 150 fps on average. Went back with OEM spring and velocities returned right back to over 700 fps. I won't use them again. Very bad results.

    Things I liked:

Straightforward brief instructions in good English. Went into the Diana 34 very easily with minimal frustration on my part as a first time DIYer of springs. Have only fired 30 or so shots to set the spring and so far I am impressed with the ragged hole at 10 meters with CPHP 14.3 gr pellets!

    Things I would have changed:

instructions too brief for first timer, but overall good idea what to do.

    What others should know:

My Diana 34 spring broke at around 5200 rounds. I did fire about ten 18 gr. pellets through it, and the gun did not like them at all. I thought that the original spring should have lasted a bit longer. Hope the Vortek spring has better longevity to it. Had to build a spring compressor, and the fitting to engage the Diana spring end (my word, not maybe the best word). That took more time that changing the spring on the air rifle. Diana/RWS should have included the spring shroud as part of the original gear. I believe it will help with noise and vibration.

    Things I liked:

The Vortek definitely made my gun shoot much smoother. There's no noticeable spring rattle in the stock. There's more consistency from shot to shot, my groupings shrank slightly after the upgrade kit was installed.

    Things I would have changed:

It would be really nice if there were detailed instructions on installation, the included "instructions" aren't very useful and pretty much just say, take the old one out and put the new one in.

    What others should know:

This seems to be a great kit and I'm glad I went ahead and added it to my gun. The process is a little involved and if I were to buy a gun from pyramid I would probably have them install it. Also a spring compressor tool would be a good idea, I didn't have one and it was a little hairy getting the spring back in the gun, luckily my wife hasn't noticed the dent in the cupboard door yet.

    Things I liked:

RWS 34p Rifle had approximately 2500 pellets through it. Made rifle shoot much smoother. Tightened up 30 yard groups from Quarter size to dime size. Velocity seemed about the same.

    Things I would have changed:

Price is a little steep. It cocks a little harder (but smoother.

    What others should know:

I also deburred everything but it was pretty good before I did it.

    Things I liked:

Easy install ,changed cocking from crunanch click to zip click and firing from twanngunck to twak , recoil seemed to be less . Chronograph diana 34 with about 700 pellets through it , stock spring, crossman prem hp 14.3 g. 10 shots 686 fps avg 27 sd , vortek spring same pellet 10 shots 675 fps avg. 20 sd ( that was after 5 shots with new spring will do more testing after it gets a couple a hundred shots on the vortek spring.)

    Things I would have changed:

    Lower price would be nice

    Consistency, smoothness and power.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe a bit more power. I think the 34's large piston could handle a little more spring for a .22 (maybe not)

    What others should know:

I have had my 34 in .22 a few years now. I put many thousands of pellets through it, After the first thousand or so consistently got worse, ( 3" high or low at 50 yards) Bought my Vortek kit, installed it with very little spring resistance. Major improvement. No twang or vibration. All around great gun now. All of my best air guns have vortek kits. R 9. HW95's HW 50 HW 30 as close to perfection as your going to get.

    Things I liked:

Installed in a Diana 36 I've had since '97 and man what a difference. Feels tight with no vibration or twang. The seal was an easy installation & I deburred the tube prior to reassembly. Only about 60 or so shots for now, we'll see how she continues to perform and how efficient it turns out. Chronographed a10 shot string through my PACT w/ JSB Exact Hvy avg. 727fps & ES 6.3, sounds good to me.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

Prep your springer tube for an install without damaging your seal.

    Things I liked:

Increased accuracy, better feel, better control. Worth the money. I bought a RWS 34 a while back, and to to be honest, I was disappointed in the accuracy of it. I had read rave reviews on it. It was my first higher quality air rifle and maybe I was just expecting too much out of it. I did good to get 1.5"-2" at 30 yards with JSB 15.89. I had read about tuning kits but didn't want to spend the extra money. Finally broke down and bought it, deburred the receiver, lubed it, and man, am I glad I did. The gun just responds so much differently. Before, when i shot, it felt like an actual spring inside the gun was still vibrating for a split second after I pulled the trigger. Now, no vibration and the gun doesn't try to lunge forward...just a thwack and nothing. It feels more like a rimfire rifle going off. Hard to describe, but it has increased my accuracy greatly. Now, I'm getting around 1.5" @ 50yrds. I can hit birds at some long distances now.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish it came with detailed instructions on deburring the receiver tube and the other steps in getting the best tune job possible. It does give some instructions on lubing the basic installation of the kit, but I had to search forums and research the internet to know how to do a quality tune job. This was the first tuning kit I have installed. But I understand not all air rifles are the same and this may be hard to do.

    What others should know:

It seems like a lot of money for a spring, but I'm glad I went ahead. I have a gun I can trust now.
