Air Venturi Avenger Hawke Combo Reviews

Quiet, accurate, and easy to use. Everyone looks at this gun and knows how it works. PA tune was great and the scope was dialed in exactly right when I opened it up. Totally worth having them set it up and tune it compared to needing to sort this out myself.

Slide is a bit rougher than I would expect, but I think this is mostly due to the magazine not fitting cleanly with the bolt. With a single shot the slide is much cleaner. Scope is good but not great.

This is my first PCP as I expect will be many other buyers. Compared to CO2 and break barrels, there are different tradeoffs. You get the consistency of a break barrel without sacrificing the orientation from the shooting position. CO2 swap is very fast, but recharging the PCP takes some minutes. On the plus side, the consistency from the regulated PCP feels dependable.

Awesome deal. Why I waited like fool for over a deal like this is beyond me. Glass alone is over $200.00 not counting rings then a high quality case for around $75.00 plus the avenger $349.00 that’s over a couple hundred cheaper than buying it separately. The glass is crystal clear at all the ranges needed for the task at hand. The Avenger is just so accurate trigger is nice it’s just an amazing piece of equipment.

Get the package deal get a JTS compressor maybe a mini bottle. But definitely a jts pump from here. Things amazing best of the sub $800.00 pumps. Lots of pellets. JSB 15-18 grain in 22 any typ of pellets I’m seeing.

Great package deal. Good solid build. I was really excited to buy. Ive had it for a bit more than a year now and Ive hit paper with it twice. I dont know if I received one with a defective barrel or or a defective scope. Ive tried a number of remedies ranging from different pellets/slugs to different scopes to no avail. I learned that I am patient to a fault, I should have returned it a very long time ago. Oh well.

It’s a great package deal. I’m having Scope issues so if they persist I’ll contact Pyramid and hopefully they’ll make it right.

I bought this combo on a Pre-Order. The wait was awful but, it really wasn’t that bad.

The quality of the package deal. I'm new to air rifles. So I was going straight of of reviews. I was not disappointed. This is going to be fun!

This is a great package deal , good gun and scope . The case is fine holds the gun well and nice to store in . It did show up ready to fine sight in and that only took 8 shots and it was money.

I would not change anything it's a good deal .

The gun shoots well it came very close to being dialed in it's quiet and you get around 40 shots before it starts to fall off excellent buy

first i like that the kit came with a carry carry, the scope, rifle has two regulators thats another plus, i really like the side lever, what is there not to like about this bundle. plus i got a the steel silhouettes as a bonus.

trigger for me was a little uncomfortable, trying to pump this up to the max 4500 psi with a hand pump and i didnt have enough but 3000 psi was doable. I plan on getting a portable air compressor. scope is clear and user freindly. I just used the single shot tray and used benjamin 25 cal pellets first five shots were all over the next ten where in a group of 3/4 to an inch and high, using the mil dots i compensated and the next group completly took out the bullseye i dont know how many pellets were shot, shooting at 25 yds with a little bit of wind. Just wanted to get it out and shhot before the bad weather gets. I would urge you to read the reviews and the article that Tom writes. I have no problems with this package and would recommend. I watched a few videos of a person hunting with this gun, use these resources its a great. Regular sling will not work am planning to get swivel studs that have the washer and nut, thats my solution will post a pic of studs when i get em.

GREAT .22 caliber combo, more accurate than I expected and very easy to tune to the pellets! Has to be one of the best deals out there!!!

This was my first PCP purchase. The combo seemed like a no brainer and was pretty set up right out of the box! I did some adjustments to the windage and was shooting quarter size groups that afternoon. I cant wait to start playing with the pressure settings and different projectiles. Love it!

Stock is what it is. For an entry level rifle Im still satisfied.

It more accurate than I had expected. The hawke score is great also!

I recently bought an Air Venturi Avenger (in .25) in a packet deal with a case and scope. Pyramyd Air did a nice job of mounting and sighting in the scope. I did paid a bit extra for a Pro tune which without a doubt saved me much time and has the rifle dead on at 30yds.(which is where I tested it). I am very happy with the rifle and the workmanship of Pyramyd Air. Again thank you Pyramyd Air for providing great service and a fine product list. As the man said " Ill be back!" If I were to split hairs and find a complaint it wound be that the scope is a bit heavy for my liking. Am I going to change it No, not that big of a deal.

I like pretty much everything about it. After I'd spent a lot of time looking at Benjamin Marauders and FX rifles, Ruth at Pyramyd Air recommended I at least give this a look, and it was a great recommendation. This combination saved several hundred dollars, and - possibly because I paid for the EcoTune - came off the FedEx truck ready to shoot, even with enough air in it. I ordered on Thursday afternoon and was on the range on Saturday afternoon! The scope combines well with the rifle, at least for my "plinking, maybe field target" use. Off the bench it shoots penny-sized groups at 25 yards with a variety of pellets. We got 100+ shots that first day, and my Yong Heng compressor restored the air in just a few minutes.

Twice in the first 100 shots I had pellets "stick," with the charging arm not going forward easily. Not sure what happened, but I gradually eased the bolt forward and everything worked. In general the side bolt works fine, but the words "like butter" do _not_ come to mind. I'm going to try a little moly and see if it smooths out. The rifle is quite plasticy, and I may buy a wood stock, but that's purely aesthetic - it works fine and is nicely balanced. Even in 177, even the latest version (which supposedly has barrel baffles), it's a little loud to be backyard friendly. I'll probably add a DonnyFL suppressor at some point. It's nice that I can!

I like the fact that the avenger is regulated and totally tunable. It is very accurate. This is a good package for the money.

I do not like the cheap plastic that the stock and forearm are made out of. A soft touch wood stock or the wood stock would imho put this rifle at 5 stars.

Excellent rifle for the price. The synthetic stock, though cheap, is not a deal breaker. Just upgrade. I would recommend this rifle.

Let me say this was a great transaction, fast, on time, and exactly what I ordered. The combo was a great value. I couldn't be more pleased with the way this gun shoots. Running 25.39 JSB match kings this thing was out of the box lights out. Shot one mag to zero and the second mag shot 8 rounds .64" center to center group at 40 yards. I haven't ran it through the chrono yet but it definitely hits hard. The shot string from pyramid lists around 873fps. The side cocking lever is very smooth on this gun. Mags load easier, than others I have. This was my first Hawke optic and I have to say I'm pretty impressed at the clarity and reticle in this optic. Seams to hold zero very well, and the turrets have a nice crisp click. The lighted reticle is nice and bright. The added Plano case was a nice finishing touch. You guys knocked it out of the park on this setup.

I would change the ring height, for me the 1 inch are way to high. However I added a cheek rest to the stock and fixed the issue. The other thing the stock does seam a bit flimsy, however it doesn't seem to effect accuracy and it does feel pretty good in hand. I would also like to see a better sling mounting holes.

If your on the fence like I was, because it just couldn't be that great for that price point. Get off the fence and get this ordered before they change the price. It's a great value for sure.
