I want to start off by saying that Barra customer support is great and everyone is very friendly and helpful. I've been researching PCP rifles for a couple of years. Choosing a PCP is challenging to say the least, as new models and features come out every year. I was looking at budget/entry level PCP rifles. I had several brands/models picked out and then along comes Barra with the 1100z. It checked all the boxes: side lever, built in fill port, metal picatinny rail, shrouded barrel with 1/2x20 threaded end, easily adjustable hammer spring, fully adjustable trigger, no O'ring on the bolt and hand pump friendly. It was also getting very good reviews. I placed an order for the .22cal 1100z. On receiving it, I was impressed with the quality. I was able to fill it with the hand pump from 0 to 3000psi without much difficulty (if you hand pump, pump for 5 minutes and rest for 15 minutes). I did some initial chony testing and the results were similar to published hammer spring data from Barra. I set it for 2 turns in from flush for backyard shooting. I sighted in at this setting and I noticed that I almost ran out of elevation settings on my scope getting it shoot correctly. The low power tune was fine for backyard shooting, but the higher power tune was pretty snappy sounding, so I ordered a 3D printed suppressor to use. This is where the problems started. On receiving the suppressor and testing, I was expecting a small POI shift, but I wasn't even getting on target at 20yrds. Even at shorter distances, it was wildly inconsistant. Without the suppressor, it was fine. I contacted the suppressor company and they determined that I had a defective unit and sent a new one. The new one was a little better, but still appeared that the pellets were clipping the inside. I contacted Barra to discuss with them and they thought it might be the air stripper and sent me a new one. I tried it, but there was no difference. I did some testing and determined that the pellets were not coming out of the barrel (shroud) centered. They were coming out at about 12 o'clock instead of centered. I used some wooden shims to shim between the shroud and air cylinder until I got it to shoot centered. Now the POI with and without the suppressor were the same (the original suppressor was defective). I contacted Barra support again and discussed this with Robert and he wanted me to send in the rifle and they would send out a new one. I sent the old one in and received a new rifle. I tried this one out and could not get a consistant group at even 12-15 yards. The shroud on this one appeared to be warped, as when I unscrewed it, you could see the variation of the distance from the shroud to the air tube. I contacted Robert again and explained what was happening. We both thought that it was very strange to have this happen again but he said to send it back and they would send a new one and test it before sending. I receive the new rifle and It is working and shooting as it should with and without the suppressor. I've even shot it out to 60 yards and it is grouping consistantly. This whole process has taken a couple of months, but during that time and the many emails, Barra customer support never gave up on me and they wanted to make it right and they did. I know what happened with my rifles is not normal, but it happens with every manufacturer from time to time (read the forums). I would not hesitate to purchase again from Barra Airguns. This is a very long post and I will be posting more detail on how I determined the issues and other details on GTA Forums.

Side lever is a nice feature. Adjustable cheek riser.
Things I would have changed:I think I received a defective returned rifle so I'm not sure if it pertains to a normal working rifle. I would get rid of the hammer spring adjustment completely. The rifle I received wouldn't tune to any pellets I tried. I read somewhere that this gun is capable of turning to whatever amo your shooting. Good luck with that,it's more like finding the right pellet it will shoot. But then again it may be just this individual rifle. I guess if I get an exchange or refund from PA then I'll know the rifle was defective but if I don't then I'll know it's just a crappy rifle.
What others should know:When I received the rifle the accessories were in a zip loc sandwich bag. The trigger fell off after shooting a couple of mags. I hope I don't get stuck with this lemon .

Hits a quarter at 30 yards paired with H&N barracuda hunter ~18gr. Starts to drop by 2,000 psi but plenty of good shots before that.

I had to return the Originally sent Barra 1100Z because of a defective safety lock and the rifle's cocking system would not engage. I return the rifle and a replacement was promptly sent back to me all within 10 days. The replacement rifle works like a charm and the whole system works flawlessly. I would buy another Barra 1100Z and I would definitely recommend this rifle as a very accurate plinking rifle. I shoot at 25 yrds to 35 yrds, but the rifle will easily sight in at 50 yrds and maintain accuracy. It is far cheaper to shoot pellets than .22 cal bullets.

This Air rifle is phenomenal. They have worked with me on initial problems I had with the Barra 1100z in Black .22. There customer service is above standard customer service. The Barra 1100z in .22 looks wonderful. The gun and its parts glissen as I inspect the gun. The gun itself shoots wonderfully. I am going to try the Barra shot eco tune: 1 turn in at 1900psi to 1000 psi for an amazing shot count! Also, thanks Jake Wagner of Moab Ventures, you follow through with your promises!

First I read all the instructions then I clean the barrel, oiled the bolt. The first three shots you could cover them with a dime at 25 yards couldn’t believe my eyes.this rifle does what they say it will do.

Stock is nice and solid. I have the .177 in veil camo. Shot count is good. Getting a little over 50 shots with 10.65 grain at 850-950 fps. Accuracy is decent for non regulated. Build quality is excellent everything is very solid including scope rails and front picatiny rail.
Things I would have changed:The only thing I would change is to add a regulator. I actually bought this knowing that regulators are coming soon.
What others should know:Good solid gun overall that will only get better with a regulator. It does a lot better with heavier pellets. I would not recommend using under 10 grain the extreme spread is huge with 8.4 grain about 200 fps. (830-1030)With 10.5 grain it shrinks to about 120 fps (840-960) spread.

I am impressed and enjoying this gun! Using 177 pellets h and N 10.6 grain with the power adjuster three turns in from flush and 9 magnification scope it is performing very well.
Things I would have changed:Bigger air tank Option to buy more magazines Make a bull pup
What others should know:Stop shooting at 1600 to keep the shots consistent.

Very nice budget friendly PCP gun with plenty of power for small game hunting and mid range plinking

The packaging looked like it was repacked. Appeared to be a used gun on arrival.

PA and Barra were able to resolve the problem I had with the first rifle I received. It is well made with good features. Adjustable cheek rest, side lever action.
Things I would have changed:Maybe add a power wheel to restrict air flow like the AEA Challenger.
What others should know:The first rifle I received was very inaccurate at 50yds. The best I could get was 3.5 to 4 inch groupings. The replacement I received now shoots about 1.5 groupings at 50yds. It would be better to purchase the 22cal for better accuracy as seen on U-tube . I haven't seen anyone shoot the .177 with any luck.

I bought this on black friday after seeing reviews on youtube. I cleaned the barrel, adjusted the trigger and hammerspring. I shoot crosman 14.3 hollowpoint cheap pellets. Almost no fliers. I am nearly 71 and shoot benchrest lefty. I allow 3 seconds between shots not counting time to change magazines. Wind changes constantly here in the Arizona desert. I have a cheap 6x24x50 scope. These shots are at 30 yards but it shoots at 60 yards nearly as well if there are no winds. Easy fast cocking. Only regret is that I did not order 6 more magazines in .22 and .177. They shoot in my Marauder better than the original Benjamin mags. Gauntlet also works with a shim to stabilize. I highly recommend this airgun to all shooters. I am shooting at 2100 psi with tethered tank.

Good features and a sleek look. I watched a lot of video before making this my first PCP and I am happy with it.
Things I would have changed:I will add the regulator when it becomes available but it is an outstandingly solid overall gun.

Great rifle for the price. Feels great in the hands and very well balanced. The stock is very well made and the quality of the fit and finish is great on this .22 rifle. Shoots very accurate and easy to adjust the hammer to get the right velocity and the correct muzzle energy to hit the target accurately.
Things I would have changed:I can't find anything wrong with this rifle.
What others should know:This is my first PCP rifle and very easy to fill with a hand pump and the Picatinny Rail is made of quality metal and easy to setup the scope accurately. The magazines are easy to load a pellet in and fits on the rifle very easy. The cocking lever makes the cocking effort easy and shows the quality of the materials used for this gun. For my first PCP rifle I think I made a great choice and can't wait to see what else Barra will come up with in the future.

Have had my Barra 1100z in .22 for 3 months and it is more than expected! I have a compressor but this thing is so hand pump friendly I have only filled that way. Accurate OMG! mine even likes the Wally World Crosman pellets. The stock is solid and super comfortable. Side lever action is positive and smooth. The mags load easily and have been trouble free. Are there any cons? I would recommend a thorough clean & lube before filling with air. Adjust the trigger and stock to your liking before shooting to realize the true potential of this gun. Am I happy with my Barra? Definitely, YES! Would I recommend the 1100z to others YES

Following the much appreciated recommendations of Airgun detectives and Gateway to Airguns YouTube channels I bought the Barra 1100z in .22. It’s been a great first PCP. I’ve enjoyed pestering as far as 80 yards. I’m very happy with it.
