I never owned a BB gun in my life until I decided to try out one since gun ammo costs have went up and hard to get in stores. I saw this beauty out of all the other BB rifles sold that day as the wild west style designs of guns I love the most. I saw how far the pellets can fire according to the box so was sold. When I got home with it, it amazed me how powerful this rifle fires for only BB's! I was shooting at wood and metal targets and was awed by how it can penetrate from 50 to 100 feet distances. I also liked how it can hold a decent amount of BB's in the loading chamber for the design so definitely can have fun with this rifle for long time!

This air rifle would have had five stars from me but rated it four stars instead because I wish the guns were made in the USA instead of China. This is my only pet peeve but for the cost I paid it is worth it. Also make sure the seals for the rifle work more efficient so the air pumping will stay much stronger over time I noticed the pumping action gets weaker. Thanks Barra for bringing quality guns and rifles back, will be a returning customer so hope this review will be noticed!

PS: If the new models will be US made, the costs will be worth it I would pay more for guns made in America. Help bring American ingenuity back!

I am 50 years old and grew up watching western movies and always wanted to be a cowboy as a kid. So off top what I really like about the Barra 1866 is the feel of a really good looking western style rifle, and that gold accent on it is what attracted me to it. After shooting it, it has quickly become my favorite to shoot. It is very powerful and shoots so strong and accurate, it make me feel like a real cowboy lol. I sure which I had it as a kid. What I'd like for individuals to know before they purchase it is that the Barra 1866 is put together really well and will not regret purchasing it one bit. When they say do not pump it more than 10 time, believe it! Yes it shoots that good and is worth every penny. The Barra 1866 is one that you will enjoy shooting for many years to come.

It looks amazing, like exactly as it does on the box, and all the features are in fun places. The safety is the cock, which i honestly laughed when i saw, because of course, why wouldn't it be, and the pellets go in exactly where you'd expect them to of a recreation of a historical firearm. Honestly I felt like a cowboy.
