I liked the look of this Barra Air Rifle when I saw it. But my first though was that it was going to be a cheap product. Of course this isn't an actual rifle but I have been left impressed with this Air Rifle. It looks like a replica of the actual Winchester, the weight is a little lighter but it shoots true.

Great for Begginers or those who just enjoy the classic lever action look. Has to be pumped 1 to 10 times, about 5 is great for 20ft with good accuracy. The look is awesome, reminds me of Red Dead Redemtion and many great 1800s Westerns. Can also shoot a pellets, can only be loaded one at a time (as expected) but can hold maybe 15 bb's or more. Anyone over 12yrs would be able to handle this weapon (with adult supervision) safely. Easy Safety on the hammer with a HUGE red dot on both sides. Would recommend for anyone.

It has to be said that this is an absolute beauty! It really looks like a rifle right out of a western, which, let's be honest, is pretty much the main reason I got it. It has a nice weight to it, and the hammer as the safety is a nice touch as well.
This air gun also has a solid amount of power. At 3 pumps it seriously pops a pellet through a box target, at least as strong as comparable airguns if not stronger.

Now that that is out of the way! I have to say that I am a bit disappointed with the accuracy. I'm over 40 now and have shot Daisy powerline air rifles since I was in my teens. I'm more than a decent shot. I'm teaching my ten year old son to shoot now and he's getting pretty good. He's been learning on an ancient airgun his grampa found in the garage that is literally held together with duct tape, so I got myself this and was planning on handing my Daisy on down to him. Well ... after a day of practicing with the (very cool) targets that came with it, I can safely say I would not trust this rifle to kill a copperhead at anything but point blank range, which, you know, isn't the ideal range for dealing with snakes that can bite you.

It consistently shoots far to the right and sometimes to the right and high. There is just no adjustment i can make to the dovetail site for that kind of inaccuracy.

So I don't know, I may continue to try to shoot with it. I'm definitely going to mount it over my door in my office like you see in the westerns, but I was hoping for more than an 80 dollar piece of wall art when I got it.

Love the look and feel of the Barra 1866 Cowboy Series. Good quality gun for the price! Love the design of the safety and shoots nice. My son was happy and the gophers are not. Very satisfied with this product.

Love the barra 1866 made me feel like I was in a western movie! Shoots great really top of the line air rifle you can get!!

So bought this for my son and let me tell you he loves it easy to use to just target practice and plink around with. Only complaint I have is the pump handle is made pretty cheap

Seems inaccurate, most ones I shoot curve unlike the daisy. Also a little heavy

This is the perfect air rifle for adult or as a trainer for teaching younger youth proper firearm safety and practice shooting

Just received a model 1866 as a gift. I was immediately impressed with fit, finish and weight of this rifle. It looks and feels like the real thing. Accuracy is amazing. It's also very versatile in that it fires both bb's and pellets.

Good bb gun for the grandkids good for target practice over all good for its price

Does not feel cheap love the fact that you can go from 1 to 10 pumps looks waaay better than the red ×××××, my only gripe is capacity of 50 bbs not a deal breaker id still buy the 1866 with only 25 round capacity anyone on the fence on which one to buy its a no brainer Barra 1866

Seems like a pretty hardy air gun so far. I've had it for a few weeks and used it several times with no issues. It has a pretty decent range and power. BBs are easy to load. My only issue is loading pellets. I have to use tweezers to make sure they are inserted correctly which can be a bit tedious.

Ease of use right out of the box. Powerful for an air rifle.

This is a great air gun. It feels solid and I expect it to last many years. It had great accuracy out the box. I look forward to taking down small game with this.

Good feel in hands, sturdy enough for anyone especially big kids!

Does not perform as advertised made cheaply and i don't see it lasting long

I've had some PESKY squirrels living in my backyard for a year or so, and the 1866 is my tool against them. I tried a salt gun trying to keep them away for a while, but nothing works like an airgun. Thank you for giving me my backyard back!
