The 1866 air gun from Barra is a simple to operate BB and Pellet rifle. The loading sequence is a bit confusing at first but quickly becomes second nature. The front sight is difficult to acquire for older eyes. The loading procedure for BB's is fast and simple. However, Pellets are quite difficult to load into the small chamber. Both types of ammo were accurate enough at 40 feet to hit an empty shot gun shell. Great gun for shooter training. Glad I bought one!

The reason I got this air rifle us because my sister got one and I liked it. It is very accurate without any tweaks to the sights. And it feels of hefty and sturdy construction. No complaints so far.

Like the style of the gun, but operation is a bit involved. You have to pump it before every shot, and it a lot to do before each shot. But other than that it's a decent gun. Not putting it down.

Great shooting gun. Very accurate. Full size gun but still good for my teenage daughter. Highly recommend for all dads and daughters.

I really love the look and feel of the rifle and it is very accurate and has a nice weight to it and I will have to say I am a very picky person usually hard to please but I will give credit when credit is due and like I said it is a good way to have a good time and my daughters and I have had plenty of them with this rifle.

Good weight, instructions are very detailed oriented and it looks good. One weekend an it appears the 14 year old is a natural (under supervision).
