    Things I liked:

    accuracy, price, weight, look

    Things I would have changed:

it takes quite a lot of effort to cock, not a huge deal though. its awkward to put the pellet in the proper hole. large handed people beware.. loading this pistol could prove troublesome.

    What others should know:

mine jammed almost every shot after only about 75 shots through it... IT MAY ONLY BE MY GUN

    Things I liked:

The trigger was crisp. The price for this thing should be $100! (but I'm glad it is not!) THIS IS DEADLY ACCURATE! At 10 yds, I can shoot 7 pellets into a hole half the size on a penny(both hands), and at 6 yds(one hand), I can put 5 pellets into one hole the size of a .25cal pellet!

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.....except maybe the cocking effort.

    What others should know:

Get this gun if you want accuracy.

    Things I liked:

The pistol itself is well made and very accurate. Great fun to shoot!

    Things I would have changed:

The reflex sight is marginal as it won't hold a zero and the windage and elevation components are too loose on the base

    Things I liked:

i've had mine a few years, but have not shot it a lot. Seems to be very well made considering the price, and I have had no problems with it's reliability. Has a good hefty feeling in the hand, and a very nice trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

It is a little hard to load the pellet. Would probably help if I had smaller fingers. The red dot sight is pretty cheap, and the dot seems too large and bright. It does seem to hold the settings pretty well.

    What others should know:

I bought this air pistol at a local store, but all of my air gun and air gun supply purchases in the future will be through Pyramyd Air. They are abolutely the best people to deal with anywhere.

    Things I liked:

After reading all the reviews about the P17, both good and bad I had to try one.I noticed on the blister pack it said it was a 2006 and P17. The finish as reported is excellent, but after about 20 shots the Beeman sight quit. Tried a different battery but no luck so have been using open sights. Accuracy is fantastic, no problem putting 4 in one hole and usually have a flyer quite often. Has to be my fault. No problems whatsoever, has been perfect. Been shooting indoors about 20'.

    Things I would have changed:

Called PA about the sight. Would have to send the whole unit back to get a new dot sight. I didn't want to send this unit back as the gun was so good so I told her I would choke on the sight and order another one on my own. About a week later I sent the sight to Beeman with a note and that was the end of that. Never did hear from them and that was in October.Service is no way as good as PA.

    What others should know:

Most all the different brands of pellets are good but Crosman premier match and Gamo Match seem real good. Even the Daisy precision Match gave a good showing.Cocking pressure is a little rough on my old arms, but believe it or not the exercise has helped my arthritis. This gun is a great buy and one heck of a lot of fun. After about 500 shots I have had no problems at all.

    Things I liked:

i definitely like the price, i like that it is pneumatic and does not require CO2, i like the feel of the gun and the weight, and i also like the red dot scope, once its sighted in correctly it is right on the money. definitely worth the extra few dollars to get the scope with it!

    Things I would have changed:

i would have maybe tried to design a different way of cocking and loading the gun, it is kind of tricky to put the pellet in, but overall this is a great gun

    What others should know:

really good price and really good quality

    Things I would have changed:

I would package the red dot site seperately and not wounted on the gun

    What others should know:

This is a great little gun to shoot! I am just a plinker and by no means an expert, but I do love this gun!

    Things I liked:

Great price, very accurate and good weight and feel in the hand.

    Things I would have changed:

Red dot sight need regular tweaking.

    What others should know:

This is a great gun for the price. I do have to adjust the red dot sight fairly regularly but once dialed in can hit a dime sized target from 25 feet 20+ times in a row. The seals did fail soon after purchase, but it may have been due to my over oiling them. Once replaced with $3.00 worth of O-rings from the hardware store and 30 minutes of tear down cleaning and reassembly its perfect again.

    Things I liked:

The price. No CO2 needed, nice trigger and feel. accurate when functioning

    Things I would have changed:

The crappy seal. Had leaking in under 10 shots and the seal was damaged when inspected. Spent too much looking for a replacement with no luck on the right size. Tried dash 020 and 117 viton and were too small and big respectively. Hard to load the pellet and I have small fingers. Adjustable site moves all over the place. Kinda loud snap for apartment shooting.

    What others should know:

Don't buy this unless you anticipate to troubleshoot a leaky seal problem. With a caliper and many online orders for viton seals I haven't got the right size yet. Not worth the cash when u can get a CO2 pistol or cheap springer ready to go out of the box. Very disappointed.

    Things I liked:

All the good things everyone has said about this pistol are correct! Very accurate, I shoot cheapo daisy pointed pellets with mine. The point makes loading easier.

    Things I would have changed:

Yes, the o-ring seal will fail. Go match the oring at the hardware store and you are back up and running for a dollar!

    What others should know:

About the O-ring, try to find one that is made of viton and not buna-n. The vitons hold up better. Permatex makes an oring grease made specifically for, well, orings! Mine original oring failed after 400 or so shots, new one is still going at 500 ish rounds.

    Things I liked:

I really like how every shot is exactly the same, and how I never have to change CO2 containers (they get expensive). Excellent accuracy, even at 20 yards. I can hit a one inch bull's eye at 15 yards easy. And, it feels like a real gun, with the weight, size, balance, and looks. It also has a lot of bang for your buck.

    Things I would have changed:

smaller grip, I can't get both my hands to easily fit around the huge grip.

    What others should know:

    One fine gun.

    Things I liked:

Every thing. The accuracy is great. People the come to my house I try to get interested in airgunning. This pistol has been the best thing to use.

    Things I would have changed:

It is hard a first to load pellets into the gun.. With a little practice is will become easier. I use round balls most of the time in this gun and they shot great.

    What others should know:

I did have the problem of leaking air after cocking. This happened about 15 times, it was always corrected by re_cocking the gun again. Sometime it would take 3 or 4 re_cockings to clear the problem. I now have about 500 shot thru the gun and have not had a problem with the gun leading air again in the last 400 shots.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy, Quiet, single stroke, good power and velocity

    Things I would have changed:

Quality Control should be better, even more if Beeman puts their name on it. I would have gave it a 5 on rating and value if I did not have problems.

    What others should know:

This gun is fantastic, its super accurate. The included red dot sight is pretty good as well, after tighting adjustment screws. I'm getting 380 FPS with Crosman premier super match, with one hole groups at 5 and 10 meters. It's a joy to shoot. I did have a few problem issues around the 100 shot point, but I was able to fix it myself. (see Marksman 2004 blog) now I have put about another 300 shots through it with no problems.

    Things I liked:

Very accurate, excellent power for a pistol, excellent design, NO recoil, very quiet and nice to shoot indoors and feels great!

    Things I would have changed:

They leak with the original o-ring.

    What others should know:

Change the main piston o-ring to a dash 020 for easier pumping and to fix the leaking. Very simple 2 minute procedure which is described in the Marksman 2004 blog (same gun).

    Things I liked:

Great out of box experience. At first pass, nice feel. Just like a HW40 or a P3. It all stops there.

    Things I would have changed:

It was accurate enough however it shot very erratically. The first few shots had nice of power then power would drop off with successive rounds. No pattern really. Disapointing performance all-in-all. Also, there are incedibly sharp edges on top of the gun making cocking uncomfortable. Why bother with a poorly made knock-off of the HW40 and the P3. Save your nickles and buy a quality piece from Pyramyd.

    What others should know:

I own a P3 and have owned a HW40 in .22. I would suggest anyone should pass on this wet-dog. Sorry Beeman, I do own several of your airguns that I like very much. This is dog.

    Things I liked:

I like to have friends (not shooters) to my house and this gun is the one veryone wants to shoot. I put on a Simmons red dot and everyone can shoot very well with it. I shoot round balls as they are very easy to load.

    Things I would have changed:

Needs click stops on the sights.

    What others should know:

I had the leaking air problems within the first fifty shots, but I just recocked the gun and pulled the trigger again. This would clear the leading problem within a couple of tries. I have not had the problem over the last 500 shots. Try the round balls. They ar accurate and easy to load.

    Things I liked:

Astonishingly accurate, and the trigger is a joy.

    Things I would have changed:

    The durability is atrocious.

    What others should know:

I am re-reviewing this because of bad experience. The first review was for the pistol only, NOT Pyramyd, as I bought it from another vendor. I bought two of these from said vendor, who shall remain anonymous, and BOTH started leaking quite badly after around the 100-150 shot mark IMMEDIATELY after having been cocked. This is a real pity, as I like the looks, ergonomics, trigger, and accuracy, but I give up. Pyramyd Air, if you are reading this, you have my permission to remove my first review to save space and reduce confusion. This is not on you, Pyramyd Air, but SHAME on Marksman/Beeman for such shoddy work!

When it worked it was fun to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

    What others should know:

after approximately 100 shots the seal broke and the gun would no longer hold a charge of air

    Things I liked:

Wonderfully crisp and light trigger. The red dot is a nice bonus, and helps overcome most of the problems others mention about the iron (plastic, actually) sights. Decent power and accuracy. I also really like the heft and ergonomics of the stocks.

    Things I would have changed:

Add detents to the iron sight screws, and do the same to the red dot adjustments, which would also prevent screw backout in both.

    What others should know:

This one is a real bargain. It turns out that Beeman's own P3 is basically the same with some small improvements, German manufacture, and...three times the price tag.
