    Things I liked:

Light weight, pretty nice open sights. Very acurate I use the poly tip preditor, crow mag, and the crosman psp hollow point pellets all of which shoot VERY well.

    Things I would have changed:

Make the trigger guard and the trigger Metal intead of plastic. This may raise the price of the rifle but i would be willing to pay the extra, but over all a very good gun.

    What others should know:

I put a leapers 3-9x32 range estimating mil-dot scope on it this works very well. Another nice thing is that you do not have to worrry about the temperature when you want to shoot it unlike spring guns. This is a GOOD thing. The criters will feel the heat in any temp!

    Things I liked:

Light weight. Fit and finish are exellent. Gun is super accurate. From a rest is shoots dots out on 10 meter rifle target every time. Hits hard. Easy to hit squirrel size targets at 50 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

Loading port is a tad small. Trigger could be better. Disassembly is simple so I took it apart and worked on the trigger. Now has a smooth trigger in 3 - 3.5 lb pull range. Probably took less than 10 minutes to do this.

    What others should know:

Put a good scope on this. I bought a leapers 4 X 16 x 50 AO and high mounts and this combo is still under 7.5 lbs. Excellent combo from short range all the way out to as far as you can hit. I also highly recommend a scuba tank and yoke adapter. Makes shooting this much more fun. The tank seems to last forever before needing refilled. Finally, do NOT ignore the fact that this uses CO2! I get 25 - 35 good shots with air, but with a full fill of CO2 I get 80 - 100 good shots. And velocity is still good enough you can take small game out to about 35 yards with it. And of course it is still very accurate with CO2. You also need good strong traps shooting indoors with this gun at short ranges. I ruined 3 steel traps using only CO2 which shoots about 100 - 175 fps slower than air. If you are going to shoot indoors you need a .22 rifle trap. And even with that don't use air indoors. The noise is quite loud and lead splatter puts a LOT of fine lead dust into the air. If you must shoot indoors with air, buy or make a trap which uses ballistic putty. You need at least 3 - 4 inches thick and you need to pick pellets from the putty every 200 rounds max.

    Things I liked:

Pumping to 2000psi is a world of difference from pumping other airrifles to 3000psi. The initial fill from 0 to 2000 was not a big deal and took about 100 pumps and less than 3 minutes. After shooting from 2000 down to 1000 it takes about 60 pumps to bring it back up and I do it without stopping in less tha 2 minutes. I am 57 years old but physically fit. It is a nice, light aerobic workout and will increase your heart rate but does not fatigue your muscles like 3000 would. The gauge on the gun is very useful. The gun shot consistently all the way from 2000 to 1000 and I could not tell much variation in sound or power (I'll chrono later.) The wood and metal were really finished quite nicely. It is a good looking rifle. Best of all, this is a rifle you will use and keep handy in a corner. At this price you don't worry about scratches or banging it up a little. The pump works great and the quick disconnect is the way to go.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe put a latch on the pump that locks the handle to the body. That way you could pick it up by the handle to carry around without the thing wanting to extend.

    What others should know:

You have to have one of these. Best value going! I topped mine with an AirForce 3x9 40mm scope (just like in the Pyramyd video) and the thing is dead accurate.

    Things I liked:

i ordered mine in .22. very nice light gun. the wood stock looked nice and the gun is really accurate. The gun seemed to shoot pretty well with any of the pellets i've tried so far, but did seem to shoot the best with rws super dome pellets. gun is well worth the money, and pumping it up is easy. this is my first pcp gun and is very well made. nothing about it seemed cheap to me. a few people said they didn't like the plastic trigger. it actually feels pretty decent, and predictable to me.

    Things I would have changed:

I think it would be a more rounded package if it included the co2 filler. at least the degas tool (the degas "tool" is basically a long thumb screw) i cant imange that the tool costs more then a few pennies to make. not too big a deal here but you need the tool to depressureize the gun if you over pump it and lock the valve. i haven't done this myself but im sure it does come up for a few, and would be nice if this needed item was on hand rather then having to buy it later if such a thing happens or you want to run co2 in the gun.

    What others should know:

if your debating on getting this air rifle, you wont be disappointed. its well worth the money. now that i have tried PCP, i don't think im going to go back to springers. its nice to just pump it up and i am good to go. if you wanna just kick back and punch paper, or plink. filling with co2 gives you lots of shots and isn't very expensive to use. (much cheaper to refill then guns using 12 gram and 88 gram co2 cartridges)

    Things I liked:

Easy to pump. Tack driver at 10 meters. Lots of shots between pumps.

    Things I would have changed:

Make loading port a little larger. Some of us older guys have fat fingers.

    What others should know:

I've only had it a month. Shot about 500 shots and I'm still delighted. This thing would be a bargain at twice the price!

    Things I liked:

The price for one...this is where more pcp rifles should be as far as price goes.Accuracy is good as long as you find the right pellet and preasure combo.I have no problem with the trigger..its a good sporting trigger with predictable results.

    Things I would have changed:

Put a little better finish on the stock...my rifle was dull and needs some attention..ill put a new finish on her this winter.Put a little larger fill tube on this rifle for more shots and maybe a little more power.

    What others should know:

I have some chrony results for everyone..jsb predator=average velocity 805,..beeman kodiak..722..jsb exact jumbo..805.Each was tested with a 20 shot string and starting fill at 2000psi.My rifle likes to be started out at 1700psi for best accuracy and the tightest groups..the jsb jumbo seems to be the best for my rifle with the kodiak in a close 2nd place.I have more testing to do but i hope this helps out for a starting point for owners of this fine rifle.Ive used this for squirrel season and have taken 6 reds and they have all been humaine kills out to 40 yards and in.My gun has a sweet spot at 1700psi-1200psi....if i miss its me not the gun.Pumping the gun isnt to bad..i have to stop about 3 times to take a break..lol...but the fun i have is worth the work.

    Things I liked:

I LOVE THIS GUN! easy to load, easy to find your target(light and maneuverable),plenty accurate enough to hit squirrels at 55-60 yds with ease. hits very hard.

    Things I would have changed:

i would definately lighten the trigger-c'mon crosman,we talkin about a freakin spring here and this particular gun scope combo needs a little higher mounts because i had to remove the rear sights and even after the front scope cap wont fit loose enough to adjust the focus without removing it.not a big deal but the big dogs put the combo together for us.

    What others should know:

dont worry about the barrel band effecting the accuracy.I put an extra on mine because ima nerd like that but the brake handles that fine.um......my gun is very accurate with this scope and mounts but if i had the chance to re-order i would have bought the scope and mounts seperate.scope is GREAT dont get me wrong just a little higher mount.you cant go wrong at all with this gun. BUY IT AND QUIT PLAYIN AROUND! pyramid is an exellent company for service also. Toodles!

accurate as any i have ever shot(thats alot).everything goes very smooth (loading, pumping) feels good on your shoulder, well balanced(shake at a minimum when aiming. what else can i say?all of this is with a trigger job which is a must.would be 5 stars if trigger was better.

    Things I would have changed:

    trigger. lighten and shorten throw.

    What others should know:

this is great 4 hunting.hunted squirrels twice with this gun -3 head shots at 30-35 yards and 2 body shots at over 50 yds. more than sure i could of got the head shots at 50 if i had tried.very fun to shoot.cant put it down.

    Things I liked:

Accurate Good Feel, Balance and size Good penetration with Benjamin Discovery i4 gr pellets Pump is high quality and delivers the pressure required ( about 100 strokes from totally empty)

    Things I would have changed:

Needs a much larger loading gate - particularly with the scope attached Scope rings need to be higher - scope can interfere with barrel. I needed to shim scope to get it into the adjustment range of the scope itself.

    What others should know:

I bought the .22 cal version. It chronographs as advertised. I wanted an air rifle for pest control on my small 2 acre place. Since it is in a city, I cannot use my regular .22. The gun kit was delivered on time as advertised. It performed well except for the scope problem above which I cured with shims. I would prefer see through rings for scope mounting. The original gun I received stared to leak down overnight. I returned it to Pyramyd and they sent me a replacement with no hassle. Good customer service but you pretty much have to do it via e-mail. Hard to get the right people on the phone.

    Things I liked:

I liked how powerful and acccurate it is. Its a really great price including the pump and scope.

    Things I would have changed:

Ok, here we go. On my rifle, the stock had a raised bump on the underside. It had fairly poor blueing but it was ok. I had to whipe some thick gunk off of the meatal surfaces. There were to deep scratches on my barrel. The barrel needs a second band because it moves at the end but really wont effect performance. My bolt has some very spall dots of rust on it. Now, the scope is not the best. It had some white substance on it and the clicks are not crisp or clean. The zero locking device is just a pain. You should buy high mounts so you dont have to take the sights off to mount it and then shave down the bottom of the flip opens otherwise the flip opens will be pushed up againsed the barrel forcing you to take the scope off so you can adjust the focus.

    What others should know:

Dont let this put you off of buying it. Im sure I just got a "not perfect" scope and gun. It still shoots very well. I find the best all around pellets in .22 are RWS Superdomes.

    Things I liked:

Amazing gun! Lots of fun to shoot and very accurate, bought mine in .177. After I finished pumping it, took it outside and fired a few shots and this baby is loud, at least compared to my other air rifles. After a little while shooting it, I went back in the house pumped it up again and ate lunch. After I was done I looked outside through the glass doors only to find a squirrel sitting very still in a tree maybe 20-30 yards away. I quickly grabbed the discovery and from 20 or 30 yards took the squirrel with no problem. Hit him and he fell from the tree to the floor and only wiggled around for a few seconds before his nut-eating life came to a short end. I think that the open sights are excellent, but this gun is better served by a scope. I have a kind of crappy 4x32 scope that I put on and since it is dark now, I will sight it in tomorrow. The pump included is very very nice, heavy and well built. Easy to use and bring new shooters to the PCP world.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger, I don't like plastic triggers usually and this one is no different. Feels a little heavy. Loading pellets is a real pain! Keep a cleaning rod handy because I always got my pellets stuck and couldn't shake them out. Benjamin should really make the breech bigger or something. Makes it even harder to load the pellet with a scope on it. Filling the gun up from 0 PSi to 2000 is a real workout

I've had this gun for 4 days now and i cant stop shooting it, the power and accuracy are like no other gun i have in my arsenel.

    Things I would have changed:

I found the trigger to be decint but I would like a metal trigger and guard and the sights are all right but i have problems getting a clear sight picture when I use them

    What others should know:

This is a great gun the ease of use is by far one of its best attributes. this gun is loud i do not recommend it for urban areas where noise is a problem other wise get it its a great little rifle for the price and will shoot dime sized groups at 30 yards(with the right pellet) and buy a decent scope for it to so you can reach out and touch these pesky varments at 50 yrds.

    Things I liked:

My first hobby is long range rifle shooting with unmodified or uncustomized center fire rifles. I want good shooters sold over-the-counter, so I have high standards for rifle performance. The Benjamin Discovery .177 cal is my first PCP rifle and the Discovery really exceeded my expectations. I have experience with two springers, the Crosman Quest 1000 and the Gamo Nitro 17. The Crosman I sold and the Gamo I kept because it lived up to my expectations. The Gamo Nitro 17 shoots almost as well as the Discovery. The major difference is recoil, trigger press and shot consistency. The Gamo, like all springers, has significant recoil and the Discovery has none. The trigger press on the Gamo is heavy and the Discovery is lighter and smoother. The Gamo always shoots the same velocity because it's cocked between every shot and the Discovery velocity changes as air pressure drops. The Discovery is an excellent air rifle. My main concern, before I bought, was the price. I compared the pricing to real rifles. Don't do that. Compare it to other PCP rifles and it will diminish your sticker shock. This rifle is a solid, well made unit and I love the fit and feel. I use my for pest control and hunting and I can use it close to home without freaking out my neighbors. In terms of effectiveness, I dropped a ground squirrel at 51 yards, which even surprised me. I used my range finder to verify the distance. I've always been a little suspicious of claimed shot distances in customer postings, so let me say that mine was certainly a lucky shot. I've missed plenty a lot closer.

    Things I would have changed:

Benjamin, traditionally, makes a small bolt and breach, which makes loading a little awkward with man-sized fingers. I'd liked to see that changed but it will probably never happen. The other thing is the CenterPoint scope. I don't like the windage and elevations dials. They're too difficult to adjust quickly in the field. Carry the hex wrench with you. The scope flip covers are OK but the front one is too snug to the barrel and must be completely removed to adjust for parallax. Not a big deal to me because I take them completely off anyway when shooting. I use them like traditional scope covers. Don't expect them to work as indicated.

    What others should know:

Air rifles, just like real rifles have ammo preferences. Different ammo brands will probably shoot differently in different rifles. I tested several types of .177 cal pellets and found that the most accurate in my Discovery were the Benjamin Discovery .177 Cal, 10.5 Grains, Hollowpoint and Beeman Silver Arrow Pointed Pellets .177 Cal, 11.50 Grains. The Discovery pellets edged out the Beeman for accuracy but I prefer the Beeman because of its effectiveness on game. The other pellets test, Gamo and Crosman, were all over the paper. The air pump is rock solid and looks like it will last forever. The problem is it takes a lot of pumping to fill and re-fill the Discovery. It's hard work and will negatively effect your shooting. I advise you to get the SCUBA tank setup which painlessly allows you to fill your gun in seconds.

    Things I liked:

Very powerful out to 50 yards. My .22 Disco was tuned and produces about 870 fps. It will easily blow holes through steel cans at 50 yards. At 15 yards my Disco shoots through 2X4s. It is scoped with a Leapers 4X16 50 and will hit accurately every shot. The Disco is also light enough for my 7 year old to use accurately. It is now a very capable target/varmit rifle

    Things I would have changed:

I don't like the plastic trigger and trigger guard. I know that keeps the price low, but it cheapens a really great rifle. I also wish the cheek rest was an inch taller. That would make using the Leapers easier to use.

    What others should know:

Get a high quality scope. With a good scope you can hit the edge of the Disco's capabilities. Get the rifle tuned by an experienced airgun smith, such as Roy Weid. An airgun smith will work out all the annoyances left by Crosman. Use good pellets. I use JSB Exacts and Beeman Crow Mags.

I like this rifle because its light and power. I just got this today and i try to shoot a quarter inches plywood with 2000 psi. i got threw it no problem.

    Things I would have changed:

the triger is plastic and the triger guard. some day if i can fine a custom gun smith who can do this i will deff change it. Also i hope some day discovery can make it bolt action with a magazine that can hold 5-10 shot.

    What others should know:

this rifle is great and the pump is very easy to use but just need to put some effort to it. also is pretty loud. because is a pcp. Lot of power i got good 20 powerful shot. Plus need better wood finish.

Really impressed with the quality. Love the fiber optic sights. Accuracy and power are impressive. Stock is a nice piece of wood. I just finished putting 2 coats of Tru-Oil Gun Stock Finish on mine for a classy looking finish. My first experience with a PCP rifle in the Benjamin Discovery has been completely satisfactory.

    Things I would have changed:

Although the fiber optic sights are great, an aperture rear sight or provision for adding one would be the ultimate, especially for eyes which may be a little past prime!

    Things I would have changed:
