Things I liked:

The Marauder is accurate, quiet, flexible and has a delightful trigger. The magazine is reliable and positive--never a bobble. The stock fits me well and looks like one of the rifles costing twice as much. This is the rifle to go to when you want to hit something.

Things I would have changed:

There is nothing to change. This is the best value in a 20-30 foot-pound PCP.

What others should know:

This is a thinking person's gun. It has the ability to be adjusted to the shooter's preferences. It is a PCP, so you need to learn about that, but the literature makes it relatively easy.

When I received the gun the shroud had scratches on it and the stock was loose, not sure why they weren't noticed when I had the 10 for 10 done. Other than the these things the gun is great it's everything I could have asked for in a $500.00 rifle.

    Things I liked:

Such an awesome gun---I have two, one in .22 and a .25! The .25 is the most accurate gun I've ever shot and the .22 isn't far behind. They are so easy to mod and tune...attach a bipod and a nice scope and you're ready to go.

    Things I would have changed:

I like to get inside the guns to work on them. Crosman seems to like to really tighten the screws down so you have to literally drill them out and replace them (ie. breech screws, trigger plate screws, etc).

    What others should know:

They have a little bit of weight to them, but really not that big of a deal. If you're planning a walk through the woods with one, make sure you get a sling and some sling mounts!

    Things I liked:

I purchased the Gen 1 Benjamin Marauder in .177 from Pyramyd Air. Smooth action on this rifle... Smooooth! Outstanding trigger. Just a beautifully crafted air gun. Worth every penny. Received the entire shipment from Pyramyd in a surprising 3 days - delivered on a Saturday! Thank you SO much! You folks are GREAT!

    Things I would have changed:

The weather around here. I am DYING to get out and shoot this thing some more!

    What others should know:

I have only been able to put about 30 shots through this thing and I have not properly zeroed my scope yet. However, I did shoot 3 magazines worth of JSB Exact Heavies at a random target in the yard at an unverified distance (if the scope be true, range was about 75 yards, but my eyes say about 50 yards). While I was not hitting my POA, I did manage a group of just about 1 inch. That's with all 30 shots impacting the same roughly 1" spot on the target (4 inches low and 2 inches left of POA). This was done from a table using a bipod and no other rest (and it was cold, so I was shaking a bit). I have been shooting a Benjamin 397 for the last 15 years and have been very happy with the performance of it. This gun is miles beyond the multi-pump in terms of delivered performance. Also, to shoot 30 shots from a multi-pump is at least a 30 minute activity. This gun will put 30 shots down range in just a few minutes. I will be going through a lot of ammo when the weather gets better! Now I just need to get the .22 and .25 caliber Marauders. Maybe an FX Boss after that. Only 30 shots and I am totally addicted to PCPs! I hope my wife will understand what happened to the retirement money!

    Things I liked:

The shipping by FedEx ground takes only 5 days from Richfield OH to Miami FL, thats a blast!! All as expected well packed in one box, I bought the deluxe bundle with Benjamin hand pump, scope, mounts, extra rotary clip and a 500 pellets box. Right out of the box and with almost no scope adjusting this thing made 8 mm gropus at 10 meters with magnum heavy ammo at 2500 PSI. The trigger is almost perfect. The hardwood grain is beautiful. This rifle is even better than my rimfire 22LR caliber rifle, it looks like a cheap toy next to the Marauder.

    Things I would have changed:

Well a few things dissapoint me, the box of the rifle has some damage, the barrell band was not proper aligned needing some adjusting, the trigger guard was almost loose so I had to tight it up. Were not big issues, but Crosman needs to improve a little the final product inspection.

    What others should know:

The Marauder PCP rifle is a dream, precise and beautiful, is a heavy rifle that with the scope reaches about 5 kilograms, is large and well built, an American product all the way. Just bought it, you are going to be a proud owner. Thanks Pyramyd Air!! Greetings fron Costa Rica. Christopher May. Gracias Pyramyd Air!! Saludos desde Costa Rica. Christopher May.

You have more of a chance of seeing a Brontosaurus in my neighborhood than a squirrel after buying this in .22. It is AWESOME.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing, not one thing

    What others should know:

Pump is fine unless you are shooting all the time plinking, etc. I keep mine charged on the shelf. 20 shots and refill from 2000-3000 psi. Shoot heaviest pellet you can get as well and no adjust of anything needed out of the box. Holds dime at 20 yds.

    Things I liked:

I have had this rifle for almost two years now and it is just as much fun to shoot as it was when I bought it. It is the most used gun in my collection because I can shoot it in my basement and it is extremely accurate so I don't worry about stray lead. It will hit continuously a dime size target. It doesn't make a loud noise and there is little or no recoil. My grandchildren love it. I was able to instill good shooting safty and hunting skills in the children.

    Things I would have changed:

For my use of the rifle, I would change nothing. I added a bipod making it much easier for the kids to handle of the bench.

    What others should know:

As stated above, I have had this rifle for nearly two years, I shot it regularly several times a week and I just now took my scuba tank to have it filled after all that shooting. The tank was still two thirds full but I could only get 2000 lbs of pressure in the rifle. 2000 lbs is plenty of presure for this rifle. I fined it most consistantly accurate between 2500 and 1500 lbs. At higher pressure, the rifle will randomly through a pellet off target and inch or so. My rifles likes Premier Hollow points.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy, trigger, adjustability, stealth. Very, very quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

Include more information about the adjustability regarding shooting at different pressures, different pellets that are standards, amount of shots at different settings, etc.

    What others should know:

It took 220 pumps to go from 0-2700 PSI with the factory settings. I would shoot about 30 shots and would have to refill at about 2000 psi. If I remember correctly it took about 90 pumps to bring it back up to 2700 psi. After doing this a few times, it will wear you out. I started shooting only 20 shots and then refilling. It takes less pumps but still is tiring. I read an article on the Crosman website "Your mileage may vary". I have decided I would rather shoot at a lower psi and get more shots between fills. I set the rifle to the setting in that article that would give you 40 shots at 2150 psi. I tried this with some cheap Crosman pointed hunting pellets and some RWS Super H Points. The RWS were very very accurate at this setting. At the factory setting they were not accurate at all. Anyway, I think I am on the right track for what I am trying to accomplish. The lower the pressure, the less effort it takes for each pumping stroke. When shooting at the adjusted settings, after 40 shots I was down to 1500 psi. I have no chrony, so I do not know the spread or how hard it is shooting. For inside, it is just fine. By the way, adjusting the three settings is very easy to do. The article indicated his rifle would take 0.7 pumps per shot at this setting. Mine took 70 pumps to refill to 2150 from 1500 which is 1.75 pumps per shot. Obviously I have some more experimenting to do. I would like to get down to around 1 pump per shot. Great gun. Accurate and quiet

Adjustability, aftermarket add-ons, accuracy, ease of maintenance and availability of parts.

    What others should know:

This is a great gun for beginners and experienced airgunners alike. Out of the box this thing rocks but if you want to modify and tune this you can. And for the price I'm not sure anything else comes close. After playing around with adjustments and the bstaley tune I still couldn't get the consistency I wanted. Ended up spending about $90 on an aftermarket regulator and now this gun shoots dime size holes at 50 yards. Even accurate enough to hit 1" field targets at 75 yards in competitions. I've taken mine completely apart several times and everything goes back together very easily.

    Things I liked:

The fit and finish is quite good, easy to disassemble for easy cleaning and the weight and balance of the gun is excellent! As far as accuracy, I’m still looking for just the right pellet, but so far, eight out of 10 shots are dime size at 20 yards... right out of the box with just a good barrel cleaning.

    Things I would have changed:

The bolt action loading is a bit rough, could be the plastic magazine, I suspect it will smooth out in time.

    What others should know:

Spend your hard earned money on a tin of H&N pellets, instead of the single shot loader adapter... you won’t use it!

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

There are several things I like about this rifle. The first is how quiet it is. I live in the suburbs of a fair sized city with an average backyard. My former rifle, a Beeman RS1, made a loud snap when shooting. My neighbors weren't crazy about the sound and their kids loved to watch me shoot which I wasn't all that crazy about. The Marauder makes a relatively quiet ping, and then a whoosh sound. People can hear it, but the sound doesn't sound like the crack of a rifle and it's not loud enough to stand out beyond the background noise of a city. So now I'm left in peace by my neighbors and their kids. The gun is extremely accurate. At 20 yards I get quarter sized groups off a rest, but be sure to use quality pellets because using cheap pellets (which I had always done with my RS1) causes larger groups, and that will make you feel like you're not getting your money from the rifle. Finally, with the scope mounted, the gun weighs in at almost 8.5 lbs. While this might deter some people, I competitively target shoot and the weight of the rifle is great for building arm strength. My trigger came adjusted at 2.5 lbs (measured by my trigger pull gauge) and that's exactly what my hunting/target triggers are all set at, so this creates consistency among all my rifles. The trigger is crisp with no creep whatsoever (I'm a trigger snob too). Finally, the rotary clips are far superior to single loading pellets. A superb value for the money.

    Things I would have changed:

Okay, pumping this up after every 40 or so shots can get annoying, but I'm not prepared to buy a diving tank for refills and this is the best way to go. Hey, nothing is perfect and I accept the good with the bad.

    Things I liked:

Construction, trigger, magazine feed, etc. The squirrels have NO chance now.

    Things I would have changed:

Weight. And the gun should have SOMETHING to site with out-of-the-box. NOTHING? I was able to hit logs about 40 feet away just siting the barrel. Advertise that it needs a scope with a 3/8" or 11mm dovetail. The nice scope I had "in stock" had a weaver style -- not compatible. Took another WEEK to order and get 1" rings with 11mm dovetail.

    What others should know:

Once it's up to pressure, it's about 60 to 80 pumps to get it from 2000 up to 3000 psi, using the Benjamin pump. Be sure to watch the Pyramid video. Need to be careful and conscious about FULL STOKE pumps. Also, as with any high pressure instruments, oil and hydrocarbons can be explosion or fire hazards. Never use ordinary oils on the pump or the HP area of the rifle. You life is at stake. IF you don't feel careful handling and/or pumping is for you, buy something else. Recommend boresighting. Did it at night using an LED about 100 feet away. Sighted in my scope (gun was mounted to a photo tripod). Worked GREAT. It was raining squirrels the next day...

Frist time at the range, 8 shots in a hole that my index finger wouldn't go through. It impressed every body at the range. This gun is addicting, you will need a scuba tank for this one. Exact kings are the right pellet and you will need a lot of them. I have a 100 cubit foot tank and at 3500 lbs. of air you can shoot a couple cans up before you know it. Order extra clips for hunting because you don't want to load in the field.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock has an ugly stain that doesn't look like real wood at all.
