    Things I liked:

Bought this rifle in .22 cal which was my intentions. I liked the power, weight, feel, ease of cocking(easier than my .22 cal Umarex Octane), and feel of the trigger when shooting. Somewhat quiet and neighbor friendly.

    Things I would have changed:

I never mounted the stock CenterPoint 4X32 scope that came with this rifle. While this one was in enroute I purchased a Tasco 3-9X32AO mildot scope. I mounted that scope and in ten shots was dead on aiming at a 2" target at 72 feet using Crosman Premier 14.3 grain Ultra Mag Dome Pellets. How many shots it takes to center and hit dead on is a testament to the scope and the shooter.

    What others should know:

I do recommend this rifle and I am very satisfied with this air rifle. I also have a .22 cal Umarex Octane which I am also very satisfied with. It is a coin toss, but even though the octane is harder to cock and heavier, I may grab the Octane first. They both are magnum powered rifles and shoot the same pellets at just about the same fps with maybe a 5-10 foot difference in fps. These two rifles are gas piston. There is a difference in fps in hot, warm, and cold temperatures, nothing drastic, but there is. Get a chrono and conduct your own tests. Even with my .177 spring piston, which I have four, and one gas nitro piston, there is a difference in fps, depending on temperature, for them also. I highly recommend a chrono, which mine is a Competition Electronics Digital Chrono. I keep a log on all tests which is five shot groups with whichever pellet I use and average it out. I conduct chrono tests with all my air rifles in winter, spring, summer, and fall. I prefer dome pellets.

    Things I liked:

I bought the .22 caliber rather than the .177 for reasons explained below. received this today. Cleaned the barrel out, it was filthy from the manufacturing. Installed the Center Point 4x32 scope. Then I took it out to sight it in. About 12 shot total and it's spot on now. It looks, feels and weighted right and very impressive. Comfortable to handle and shoulder. Amazingly easier to cock than spring actions and noticeably easier than my Benjamin Trail NP .177 caliber I regretted ever buying but later got rid of it because it never hit the same place twice on target. I believe it was due to the much lighter .177 pellet compared t the heavier .22 pellets. BUT this Summit .22 caliber has done excellent. Got it sighted in to shoot 3/4" to 1" inch groups at 25 yards (75 ft) that took approx 12 shots to sight in. Crosman has a hit design with this low sound and the advanced nitrogen piston. ** the deep designed grip feels awesome. The whole rifle just fits well. It's PeRFeCT !!

    Things I would have changed:

I don't think anything really needs changing or improved except maybe the hollow buttstock that resonates a hollow empty cheap plastic sound when handled, bumped, tapped and fired SO, what I did change was that, by very tightly packing styrofoam and some tightly rolled cardboard strips, that the rifle came shipped in, around the internal screw mounts and that took care of it. Feels and sounds more like a cartridge firearm now. Bottom line: Yes , I recommend the Summit NP2 .22 caliber

    What others should know:

I would bother spending the extra money to get the thumbhole stocks because this rifle is designed very well and all of the components are same as the other NP2 models just not endorsed by some professional shooter or fancy stock, this rifle is an very solid well built basic design that will get the job done, whether target shooting, hunting small game or varmint and pest control

    Things I liked:

Good looking, much easier to cock than my old spring gun, pretty accurate for this price. I was able to put a 3X9 on without a new mount. Over all pretty happy with my purchase.

    Things I would have changed:

Either sell without scope or put a better scope on it. I would prefer to sell without scope so I could put whatever I wanted on it.

    What others should know:

Just for info. I used the Piranha pellets that came with the gun and they were pretty accurate. I also used the RWS Superpoint and they were the most accurate. I would love to hear about what other pellets that shoot well in this gun.

    Things I liked:

Got this for $169 on sale not long ago, with 10% off to boot. Free shipping, I feel like I stole this fine rifle! If you like more traditional stock grip instead of a thumbhole grip, this is the one to get. The rifle breaks smoothly and seems easier than my crosman Vantage in .22. (this one I have in .177) The trigger is waaaaaaay better than the Vantage. Very accurate with several pellets showing promise. It has dieseled a couple of times randomly and i do not know why. I cleaned the barrel before I ever shot it and left it dry. Normally it is very quiet and really fun to shoot. Picatinny rail should standard on all breakbarrels and this has it. Rock solid.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer this without the Center Point scope. It is out of focus until ranges too far out for a 4x scope. I am currently using aTech Force 2-7x AO that I bought from PA. It works well but I have noticed this scope is beginning to get crushed by the UTG rings. I will modify my review of this scope to reveal this info. Will probably use my UTG 3-9x AO from now on.

    What others should know:

This is a great value for the money even without the discounts. If you are used to low priced air rifles, this is a big step up for only a little more money. Pony up! You get what you pay for. This is my 30th airgun.

    Things I liked:

The power and accuracy. Once you bond with it and break her in, shots seem almost telepathic and hit very very hard for a gun in this price-range. I like the noise this gun makes after it breaks in. It's like a "zzzwaaping" followed by slow and ultra-fine zipper sound and finalized with the sound of yer target being hit. Im talkin spent 12gram co2 cartriges at 45-50 yards kind of accuracy

    Things I would have changed:

I would have liked to see a mil dot scope come as a stock option. I also would have liked it if she came with a sling swivel in the rear as well. I have had 2 of these go through my hands and the triggers on both needed adjusting big time. the first one had a super hard to pull second stage and the second one would fire if you looked at it wrong. I would also use better glues on the suppressor assembly. the action of cocking the gun rotahes the supressor one way or the supressors to the point where you need to take challel locks to the veryend plate of the barrel to remove the shroud for cleaning

    What others should know:

On both guns, they worked like a dream once you got em sighted in. The first one broke after 500ish shots. started shootin high and to the left my like 3 feet at 50 yards. the second one is only maybe 200 shots in and shes shooting very consistiently high and left byh about .5 inches.

    Things I liked:

Pretty quiet, didn't bother the squirrel in the oak tree about 15 feet away. He just watched me shoot. Makes me feel good about the neighbors. Sounded like a nail gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The only thing I would change is that I wish it came with a higher powered scope. (iron sights would be nice too but not critical)

    What others should know:

My top priority was just getting some rounds through it for the break in, Put the scope on and it sighted in easily considering I was shooting at a piece of cardboard with a drawn on dot at 27 yards. After I mostly sighted it in I put about 30 shots within 2 inches of my spot. Not bad for the range but I will fine tune it the next time I shoot. The noise level was great and it did have a little kick but nothing that would make you tense or or flinch in preparation for the shot. This is my first pellet gun since my old Crosman pump from when I was a kid. I love this gun and feel sorry for the Iguanas that seem to think that living under my shed is a good idea. I am an animal lover but have no love for the invasive species that are taking up residence in Florida. I am confident that this gun will take care of any need you have. I went with the .22 for that reason.

    Things I liked:

I have this in 22 Cal. Love it! Plenty of power and accurate out to 40 yards so far. I did a lot of research before buying this one and am not disappointed. I have another highly recommended 22 Cal German made spring piston, but other than the stock this one blows it away.

    Things I would have changed:

For what I paid for it nothing! I would have paid more for a better made stock. I also own a Jim Shockey NP2 in 177 Cal (which I did pay more for) and wanted a more traditional stock. That's why I opted for this over the Trail NP2. The stock on this Summit NP2 just lacks in ergonomics. It looks right but don't feel right if that makes any sense. The scope is good and gets you shooting but what do you expect for the price of this set up.

    What others should know:

Just research! If you are looking for a pellet rifle to hunt squirrel, rabbit and other small game this is the one. It's a joy to shoot targets and plink crawfish mounds, but I'm looking forward to small game hunting again. Oh yeah... You can't beat Pyramyd Air's commitment to service.

    Things I liked:

I consider this the next step up from the nitro venom dusk.Smoother shot cycle, slightly better trigger, shrouded barrel and etc. Everything has been slightly improved. Especially the cocking effort.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer a version of NP2 with iron sights. Not cheap plastic ones either. Other than that, nothing really.

    What others should know:

I bought this in the .177 caliber because of a large amount/variety of .177 pellets that my nitro venom dusk didn't like. I mounted a spare 4x32 AO scope I had laying around and got the windage zeroed at 25ish feet and elevation set at "that should be on at 20 yards" using CPHP 7.9gr. Then switched to JSB 13.4's and was hitting my 4" and 2" spinning targets at 25 yards. A little off for the 1", but that's due to a quick sight inn. All in all this is the best break barrel rifle I've shot in the sub $300 range. Maybe more, but above that price point everyone I know is getting a real rifle then. I plan on adding a leapers optic and a sling. I have had very good luck with leapers optics with locking W/E rings. I found these types of rifles shoot any lead pellet good at 25 ish feet. If you want to shoot 20-60 YARDS you need QUALITY pellets that are heavier than your average 8gr. in .177. Get yourself a shooting stick if you plan on a longer outing with this rifle. It'll save your shoulder.

    Things I liked:

Light weight good for artillery hold, out of the box accuracy very good, nice feel. Made in the USA. No more Chinese made .177's for me, wasted too much money on several that didn't last beyond 3 months. Granted, parts are imported but it's assembled in the USA. Crosman's customer service is good. Weaver/Picatinny mount is stock, beats the usual 11mm dovetails by a mile in terms of keeping your scope and rings tight.

    Things I would have changed:

Don't bother with the included scope. I had a Hammers 3-9x32AO available so put it on, it is a much better match for the rifle's accuracy at distance. A 2 stage adjustment on the trigger would be nice, but one adjustment for length of pull after hammer release is working out fine.

    What others should know:

The full length barrel shroud screws onto metal threads at the end of the actual barrel. It will work loose after a few rounds and you will note this as the shroud may twist during cocking. Don't tighten it too much or you might fracture the plastic at the narrow end of the shroud. I plan to call Crosman support to see if some blue threadlocker might be recommended.

    Things I liked:

I love the semi-type stock, I prefer it over the Trail Thumbhole style. I replaced the scope with a Tasco 3x9x50 and this thing not only has the balls of a prize bull, it has amazing accuracy. Not pellet picky, I shoot H&N Terminators successfully out of ALL my .22 cal Benjamins, this is no exception. I can shoot clovers at 50 yards, artillery hold, with this gun. Don't blame the gun for inaccuracy, especially Gas Piston Powerplant guns. Once you understand the mechanism behind the Powerplant, you will be able to find a proper hold, once again artillery is key 99% of the time. Don't blame a gun for inaccuracy unless you've put it in a vice or benched it while securing it down. If the gun has been forced to remain completely stable and it groups in a reasonable fashion, you may need to try a few pellets for this to work...you then know any inaccuracy issues lie not with the weapon but, with the shooter.

    Things I would have changed:

I would love to see Crosman stop giving preferential treatment to the Trail NP2, for the good scopes. I don't like Thumbhole Stocks and I don't appreciate how they try and corral shooters into buying the Trail NP2 for the better scope. Not every shooter wants that big @$$ clunky stock, the powerplant is exactly the same, the barrel, etc. The stock style is the only variable between the two guns. So, why doesn't this model get the same quality scope as the other gun? It simply makes ZERO sense. A little trigger work will make this gun a blast, it's adjustable so I can't REALLY say much but, I did have to majorly tweak mine because it was actually dangerous in it's factory setting. If you pull the trigger and the gun does not discharge, keep it pointed in a safe direction, push the safty on and off, then squeeze again. It may discharge while touching the safety so please exercise caution. Besides that? This gun is a straight up BLAST!!! SUPAHBAAAD!

    What others should know:

YOU SHOULD LEARN THE ARTILLERY HOLD FOR ANY AND ALL GAS RAM MODEL RIFLES!!!! DON'T GO BLAMING THE GUN FOR YOUR INACCURACY BECAUSE YOU'VE GOT A DEATH GRIP ON THE THING! LEARN TO CONTROL YOUR BREATHING AS WELL!!!! THIS GUN IS A POWERHOUSE AND A TACK-DRIVER ALL DAY LONG, GRAB A BETTER SCOPE BUT KEEP THE CENTERPOINT THAT COMES WITH IT!!!! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A FIXED POWER SCOPE!!!! CARLOS HATHCOCK IS ONE OF THE GREATEST SNIPERS H EVER LIVED AND HE DID MOST OF HIS SHOOTING WITH A FIXED POWER SCOPE!!! NO EXCUSES, LEARN THE GUN, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO LEARN YOU!!!!

    Things I liked:

I like that the Benjamin Summit comes with the monte carlo style stock. I bought the Summit instead of the Benjamin Trail NP2 for that reason. It is identical to the Benjamin Trail NP2 except for the stock. This gun is balanced very well. Not to heavy at all. I also like that it is priced less than the Benjamin Trail NP2. The trigger works well and consistent. The overall quality and value for the price is great.

    Things I would have changed:

Crosman is a great company and has good products. I just wish they would have a model of an NP2 that is completely manufactured and assembled in the USA. I know a gun like this would cost as much as some of the german rifles but the extra quality craftsmanship would make it a gun you can pass down from generation to generation.

    What others should know:

Pyramyd Air has great prices and excellent customer service! I would recommend purchasing the Summit NP2 over the Trail NP2 if you're not a fan of thumb hole stocks. I only shot the gun about 25 times but my crosman 14.3 hollow points go completely through a 2x4 at close range. I also upgraded the scope to a Leapers 3-9x40 AO.

    Things I liked:

I sent in a review several weeks ago ! What was wrong with it ? The rifle improved in all respects as it was broken-in, 250 rounds plus. The trigger is better than some pellet gun triggers but did require some teflon dry lube. Accuracy at the short ranges that I shoot is excellent.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like an even better trigger. Even on a hunter/plinker model. The rifle should be available without the factory scope at a reduced price, allowing the purchaser to provide their choice of scope.

    What others should know:

It is quieter and easier to cock than other break barrel air rifles I have used.
Plenty 0f power in .22 cal. Easily penetrates two sided of an empty soup can.
