    Things I liked:

Weaver rail and the thumbhole stock. Balance of the rifle. Accuracy of the rifle is pretty solid. I consistently hit the lid of a soup can at 50 yards while standing and shooting free hand. If I am relaxed, I can hit either side, top or bottom, to bounce the lid. From a rest, I can hit electrical knock outs (about the size of a nickel) rather consistently without wind or only a slight breeze. I had mine professionally tuned and installed the GRTIII trigger and it is VERY consistent in it FPS and accuracy. Prior to trigger upgrade it was very difficult to be accurate/consistent while shooting freehand. Afterwards, night and day difference. Tuning made it very consistent. I shoot Crosman Hollowpoints and the gun does just fine. Cover 5 shot groups with a dime easy at 20 yards. This one took about 200 pellets to really settle down.

    Things I would have changed:

It is beating a dead horse but the OEM trigger is rough at best. Hard to distinguish between first and second stage and really had to concentrate and focus to get an even trigger pull and not jerk the rifle while firing. Bring it back stateside and manufacture in the US.

    What others should know:

I have two of these. One wood and one synthetic stock. They both shoot the same after tuning but for whatever reason, the wood feels better on the balance and in my hands. Shooting off a rest or stick - I do not notice as much but shooting freehand I am more comfortable with the wood stock. Weaver rail is a dramatic improvement for scope shift. I have two Remington NPSS and two Crosman Titan GPs with the dovetails. Even while loctiting down (Loctite Blue)and the scope stop - I still have to zero much more frequently than with the Benjamin's and the weaver mounted scopes. I seem to have solid luck with the Centerpoint scopes. I have never had one go bad and when they are loctited down - they seem to hold true for me other than the occasional drift on the weaver rail.

    Things I liked:

This is a high quality, accurate piston gun with a quality, wooden TH stock. Living in a dense neighborhood, the very quiet piston and report is ideal. Utilizing the "artillery hold", which is critical with this high powered piston gun, I achieve consistent head shots on squirrels at 25 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

I replaced the fairly sloppy factory trigger with a custom trigger from charliedatuna. It makes a world of difference. Other than that, this is a winner.

    Things I liked:

Super frustrating to dial it in but well worth it with the accuracy and power its delivering. After remounting scope, trying 3x pellets, changing scopes, changing back and HOURS of shooting I finally have it shooting 1/4" max deviation at 30 yards. Turns out mine loves RWS superdomes and hates the first three types of ammo (crosman premier HP, crosman hunter, beeman penetrator). Super happy now that its delivering on its promise. Suffered through 4-5 inch fliers, now I can nail army men consistently at 50yds. Eats shoots clean through half inch plywood and eats through 3/4" with two close shots. Great hunter, good build quality, good buy. Decent scope...

    Things I would have changed:

VERY hold sensitive, VERY pellet sensitive, trigger is horrendous out of the box but good (acceptable) with adjustment and great with light mods. Mounts from barrel to stock shake loose quickly, so red-lochtite right out of the box. Shoots horribly when barrel mounts are loose.

    What others should know:

If you have the time and patience, this ones killer!

    Things I liked:

Shoots harder than my Marauder I don't have to return and charge the air all the time. I can leave my truck to hunt with a can of pellets and stay out all day. The scope is fine. Don't be afraid to adjust the trigger. After trigger adjustment I was knocking the squirrels dead at long distances.

    Things I would have changed:

Sell the rifle with the GRT trigger installed. This rifle deserves a great trigger.

    What others should know:

Buy the pellet pen for reloading and the lanyard to hang it from loads fast that way. Order the GRT trigger to go with it. MY NP is the 22 cal and it likes the winchester pellets. I was going to buy the XL but this one shoots great kills squirrels dead.

The .22 projectile is faster than the way I load my .45ACP. It is very quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

I like the traditional stock, this was the first one that I had with the hole in the stock. Reminds me of Slick Willie Clinton's assault rifle decade.

I am still "zeroing it in" but the groups are getting tighter, hits hard and the gun and I are on a learning curve!!. Seriously, tho' I am happy...for the most part. See next paragraph!

    Things I would have changed:

A lot of pictures show it with Benjamin Sling, and I saw a lot of reviews that said the sling is included, however, mine did not and I cannot find it to buy it separately. What Gives??

    What others should know:

Apparently sling is not included so airgunners should be aware of this, as I was not! Mine prefers the premier hollow point pellets.

ordered 2 Benjamin 22 cal NP both were delivered in 4 days after cleaning and shooting about 50 pellets both seem to have settled down and now are grouping dime size groups at 15 yards. I sure like the quiet power of this rifle over my spring .177

    Things I would have changed:

need to look into a different trigger

    Things I liked:

    very accurate at 50 yards

    Things I would have changed:

i would change the trigger, and the scope, the scope starts going bad after 800 pellets, it will group good then it will start grouping 2 to 4 inches away then start getting fliers. looking down the scope while turning the zoom adjustment you can see the reticle jump a little

    What others should know:

I use premier hollow point domes and they work great for killing birds and squirrels at 50yrds

    Things I would have changed:

I echo what others say about the trigger...stock trigger is horrible. GRT-III is a must.

    What others should know:

There is a great deal of information on tuning and additional parts/upgrades for the Benji Trail rifles. I have found mine can be hold sensitive. Nitro piston makes for a smoother shot cycle and greatly reduces noise-which is a plus for backyard shooting. Highly recommended rifle.

Have two of these for my son and I, both guns are accurate and the trigger is predictable. They both shoot the same and were easy to sight in. After 5 shots all the rest of the shots go through the same hole. The gun has good balance, comftrable, easy to shoot, and just a lot of fun.

Nice shooting rifle, must clean bore before use, afterwards a beauty out to 25yds with supplied scope & trigger

    Things I would have changed:

Lots of fine tuning would make this a far better rifle, however, try it as it is.

    What others should know:

    definitely clean bore before using

    Things I liked:

this gun is very durable and can shoot anytime any temperature. ive got about 2500 pellets through mine and mostly long distance this gun is a killing machine at distances out to 100 yards

    Things I would have changed:

i wouldnt change much just better scope mounts and this thing drills all day

    What others should know:

i was shooting today at my land and we have a field and i was shooting at 200 yards and could hit an 8 inch target about 3 out of 5 times and it hit a quarter at 100 yards first shot, if you want a very accurate break barrel get this, you might have to spend a little time with the scope in order to get it shooting straight but it pays off because i can always count on my benji to produce ear to ear smiles everytime i shoot

    Things I liked:

After shooting a multi-pump .177 for thirty years, I thought it was time to upgrade to a rifle with the Nitro piston technology. I am certainly glad I chose the Benjamin Trail NP .22 caliber – it is unbelievable. Out of the carton, the rifle is much quieter than the vintage air rifle it replaced. I mounted the included Center-Point scope and after less than twenty pellets, I was hitting a quarter size group at 10 yards. After a few hundred pellets I am now getting a dime size group which is perfect for my use of plinking and pest control. The shrouded barrel is easy to cock and the hardwood stock has nice checkering. I am very happy with my decision to purchase this powerful air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

STOCK: it would have been nice to have a darker grained wood for the stock, but for the price one shouldn’t complain. TRIGGER: has taken some time trying to get used to, due to the vague trigger pull and feel.

    What others should know:

Your accuracy will improve if you use the artillery hold with the stock resting on your open hand or back of your hand rather than gripping the stock. I had to return my first Benjamin Trail NP – serious barrel droop and could not get scope adjusted properly – second unit did the trick. Thanks to Pyramid Air for their great customer service and help – it was very much appreciated and will never be forgotten.

    Things I liked:

Gun has a great feel to it. Very accurate and velocity with 14.5gr RWS Superdome pellets came in at an honest 745fps which isn't too far from the claimed 800fps with a 14.3gr pellet.

    Things I would have changed:

Either provide this with a "No Scope" option at a cheaper price or bundle it with a higher quality scope or a Red Dot sight as an option. My scope took a dump after just two days of shooting(about 75 pellets), Crosman Customer Service is 2nd to none, they send a Multi-TAC Red Dot sight by my request as a replacement and it works great.

    What others should know:

Nice air rifle for the money but be ready to replace the scope with a higher quality unit. If you need more power then give the XL model a look.

    Things I liked:

    Quiet, beautiful stock, accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

For the price I wouldn't change anything.

    What others should know:

First I must say that I am new to airguns. (Except for the daisy I had 20 years ago as a kid) After weeks of searching pyramid air for a hunting air rifle that was well made and wouldn't break the bank, I scoped out the Benjamin Trail NP .22 . I was a little weary at first because a few people thought the accuracy was off. Until I read a review on this gun, another air gunner mentioned shooting the gun using the artillery hold. And ever since removing this gun from the box (4 days ago)I have only shot this gun holding the artillery hold and must say that this is a accurate gun for sure. The very first shot was a head shot to a squirrel and the next day I took 2 turkeys both neck shots. (True story - pics to prove it) I must give credit and thanks for the in depth amount of information pyramid air puts out for us to read and watch. I will be back for more.

    Things I liked:

This is an excellent hunting rifle value. The looks of this rifle exceeded my expectations and the weight is great for hunting and off-hand shooting (less felt recoil). This combo package includes a dynamite nitro piston (an upgrade according to PA), a nice hardwood stock, a very good and functional scope with mounts, a sling and stock loop/swivel, and barrel shroud which quietens the shot sound and doesn't disturb neighbors.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger. I understand one usually gets what they pay for and more expensive rifles with excellent triggers are available but this rifle met my price/value point. I expected not to like the trigger from reading other reviews and I was not surprised at the travel and sponginess and seemingly random break points; even after repeated adjustments. Although I have ordered at GRT-III after market trigger blade to help with this issue I expect I would eventually master the stock trigger and could shoot well in hunting and pest control situations.

    What others should know:

At first accuracy was not acceptable but after Greg at PA helped me understand the importance of pellet head size and with the right pellets accuracy too exceeded my expectations. My indoor testing at 14.3 yards yielded one hole groups with the Predator Polymags and H&NFTTs with the JSBDEJs a close third. My outdoor testing is a works in progress but my first day out produced 2 inch groups with the cheap pellets at 47 yards. Pay for the 10 for $10 testing! The pros at PA recommend this and my test certificate and chronograph strip indicated less than a 10 fps velocity range; outstanding in my air gun experience. With the 10 for 10 I have a base line to measure future changes against eliminating guesswork and he said, she said situations. This air rifle is a superb hunting rifle and with good quality pellets is accurate, fun and inexpensive to shoot, and deadly on pests and small game.
