It seems to like Crosman CPHP's which I can get local.Seem's to be deadly accurate at 30'. Scope is decent. A lot of gun for the money.
Things I would have changed:Nothing for the money this gun costs. Maybe include sling mounts as it a heavy beast.
What others should know:Loves to be shot off rest...no need for artillery hold at least at ten meters, which is all I have shot it due to weather.Beats my Bengi trail NP hands down...

This is a very accurate and easy to cock rifle that comes with bright and clear optics.
Things I would have changed:Nothing.
What others should know:This is my first underlever air rifle and it took a while to get used to the loading cycle. This is the first air rifle that I've been able to put multiple pellets through the same hole. I got the 20 for 20 service so my rifle had the scope mounted, sighted in, and was in a case. This is a great service. I found 7.9g cphp and 8.64g stoeger x-field pellets to be extremely accurate. Thanks, BB, for teaching me about the artillery hold. Shooting springers is both fun and rewarding.

Very accurate rifle. Scope is pretty good, no need to upgrade right away. Stock is good looking and sized right. Not a loud rifle. I got the .22cal. One hole 5 shot groups at 10 yards. About 750 fps velocity.
Things I would have changed:The under lever lockup could be a little more user friendly.
What others should know:Trigger is a little vauge, but still good enough for accurate shooting.

Overall I am somewhat happy with the gun. The scope was very nice, the stock was well made and the finish was pretty nice.
Things I would have changed:I did not like the fact that as soon as I took it out of the box and pulled on the Browning tag on the trigger guard that it busted. Yes that’s right... the trigger guard cracked almost in two separate pieces. The trigger guard is made of cheap plastic. Also the front screw for the trigger guard pulled directly out of the wood. I fixed it with super glue and wood glue. I did not expect to have to do this for the price I paid for this gun. I expected a higher quality product from Browning.
What others should know:I will not however be returning the rifle, as my eleven year old son basically pee'd his pants when he saw the gun and immediately fell in love with in. Accuracy was pretty decent right out of the box. The first afternoon we put a hundred or so pellets through it and were consistently hitting a silver dollar size target at 20 yds. The last couple of shots for the night involved my son taking approx. three pop shots at a 1" tall plastic Army man tapped to the target and Yep….... he hit it!! Again, overall I wasn't real pleased initially due to the quality of the trigger guard, but for the price of the gun, the accuracy out of the box, and the satisfaction of my son...... it probably can't be beat!

Just about everything. This is one incredible air rifle for the money. Yes, made in China, however under Browning specs. Browning is very fussy what they attach their name to, which is why I bought this product. Groups under 1" at 35 yards are common. I first used the RWS Superpoint 8.2 gr which grouped well using a pro rifle rest, however with an occassional flyer. So I switched to a heavier pellets for more stabilization, using the Beeman Silver Arrow 11.57 gr, and the Crossman Ultra Magnum 10.5 gr. Wow, no more flyers. I was putting pellets into pellet holes, with both groups under 1" at 35 yards. Cocking was done easily at 28 pounds. The more you shoot this rifle the better it gets. I am into it now for 1100-1200 rounds. The Picatinny rail is definitely the route to go, makes dovetail type receivers so inferior. Scope mounts locked in solid, no drift whatsoever. Scope was also very high quality, crystal clear with the AO, that held zero like a rock. Safety was smooth, got better during break in. Trigger was stiff, however smoothed out over use. Perfect for my use, pest control. Kill 2 woodchucks with it, one at 25 yards, the other at 30+ yards, both with 1 shot. Now picking off field mice at 35 yards off my better half's suet cakes hanging on the fence. I've paid a LOT more for less quality air rifles over the years. This is one well built unit, which is well designed. I'm very impressed with this rifle and I've been sellng guns for 30+ years as an FFL dealer.
Things I would have changed:The wood stock. Would have preferred a streamlined synthetic stock to keep the weight and bulk down. I do not use open sights, so I also would have preferred none at all. I removed the rear open sight and replacaed the open screw holes with screws that fit flush with the barrel, creating a nice clean look.
What others should know:I highly recommend this rifle, period. You won't find a better unit for anywhere near $200 I can assure you that. One tip, when you mount the provided scope, place the rear ring on the last slot on the Picatinny rail, and your front ring on the 4th slot from the front. This will allow you easy access to the breach to load your pellets even with the biggest fingers like mine. It will also provide the majority of shooters the perfect eye relief from the provided scope. Give yourself time to get use to it if your are coming from using a break barrel type rifle and you will adapt nicely. The accuracy of this rifle will blow you away, just incredible. It is also a very quiet rifle, mine did not "twang". The muzzle jump was not noticeable either, a real smooth shooter. Though it's a little heavy at 8.6 pounds, the majority of fixed barrel rifles weigh even more. The Gamo CFX model is lighter, however no where near the quality of this rifle (I own one). However the weight will work for you, helping you to maintain steadiness on those long 40+ yard shots. I strongly recommend using the heavier weight pellets to maintain pellet flight stability. The more you shoot this rifle, the more you will LOVE it. Out of all the air rifles I have bought over the years (14+), this one is one incredible rifle for the money. I will obtain another one now in 22 cal., I am that impressed with it. This rifle is truly an exceptional deal. Thank you Browning for another GREAT product, well done.

Very accurate rifle! Under 1" groups are common @ 40 yards
Things I would have changed:Make the trigger adjustable. Also, include a higher quality scope and shroud to protect the front sight
What others should know:When I first started shooting this rifle I realized there was a break in period, so I fired 500 rounds or so before making any conclusions. Best groups after that were about 1" @ 20 yards using both the included scope and open sights. I decided to change the scope to a leapers 3-9x32 and leapers medium weaver mounts to see if I could improve on the accuracy. With Meisterkugeln 14 grain pellets (22 cal), using the artillery hold, I am shooting slightly under 1" groups at 40 yards on a calm day!! It's a keeper !!

Accurate!
Things I would have changed:Lighten up the weight a bit, actually make the trigger adjustable as advertised
What others should know:I shot this rifle pretty close to 500 rounds, tried several brands and weights of pellets, and the best I could get was 1" groups (average) at 20 yards. Then I changed the scope to a Leapers Golden Image 3-9x32 and Leapers Accushot Weaver rings (medium)to see if I could get it to shoot any better.
I have only fired a few shots since installing the scope (Loktite applied on all screws) but am very pleased with the results. THIS RIFLE IS A SHOOTER! Using .22 cal Meisterkugeln 14 grain pellets, I fired 2 groups of 5 shots at just under 1/2 inch c/c (20 yards). Next I set up a target at 40 yards, 2 shots @ 9/16". Not far from the target a pesky English Sparrow landed on a bush, nailed him dead center. I paced this shot off at 45 yards!! Then my wife called me to lunch, lol so end of testing.
Today is another day, and I have several brands of pellets to test to see which one it likes best, very happy with this rifle!

After 100 shots this Browning was shooting Dimes @ 20 Yrds. Not much good any farther than that. Not too heavy, but enough to let you know your shooting a real 22. Easy lever cocking, and the scope is fine, alot better than some of the Crap they put on the simular Break barrels. No scope jumping with the Weaver rail... nice to have that. I JB welded mine on tigght just in case. Over all the best gun you can get for under $300 I think. You Tube reviiew on this gun recomends JB Match, but the Crossmans work fine to break it in. But Ii switched up to the JBs like recommend. Wood stock easy to drill sling screws in.
Things I would have changed:Not as fast as Id like, but it dose put a hole right through 1 inch Plywood. Triggers tight and very short, but after it broke in,was nice and easy to feel the release snap and was really nice in the field for quick shots.
What others should know:Better than any of the Break barrels Ive had , like Gamo,Ruger,Crossman. Nice gun in Genaral, if you cant afford a Hatsun! And this was my Fith order from Pyramyd Air and the Service was exellent compared to other online Sellers... Plus Free Shipping!?!... yeah! And YOU TUBE video descriptions are great as well.
