Things I liked:

The quality and accuracy of this reproduction, and in particular, the ''distressed'' look.

Things I would have changed:

Given that its main purpose as a tribute to WWI is served perfectly, I see nothing calling for change.

What others should know:

Consider it as a museum piece rather than as an intensive shooting instrument.

I won one of these at an NRA dinner last night. Fired it for the first time this evening. It is totally cool. The slide functions and cocks the hammer for the next discharge. Real weight and feel. I am delighted with this gun.

    Things I liked:

I just received the gun today, so cant comment on the performance, but I can tell you I am impressed in the quality of the gun. Feels good in your hands, like the real deal. The aging grow on after about a min of holding the gun. Love it.

    Things I would have changed:

not much with regards to build quality. Nicely done.

    What others should know:

    Functions like the real deal.

    Things I liked:

Very realistic rendition of a M1911A1. The aged look is great. It has a very nice blowback action. It feels very substantial in the hand compared to the lighter plastic framed airguns. Trigger pull is very nice. Accuracy is about what you would expect from a lower power BB gun. Very well constructed and strips down quickly and easily.

    Things I would have changed:

Only thing I can think of is maybe get the velocity up to maybe 350-360 fps or so although the current velocity is adequate for what this gun is. But honestly this is an extremely well done replica and the only way it could be more realistic is if was actually using Colt parts.

    What others should know:

Operates very smoothly, get ~3 mags from a C02 cylinder. It's kind of a collectible but it's way too fun to shoot! The NRA thing for me isn't that big of a deal, I actually wanted the WWII Limited Edition model but it's long gone.

    Things I liked:

It says COLT on the right side. Just like the real M1911A1 with the short trigger, cut outs behind the trigger, longer grip safety spur, brown plastic grips, arched mainspring housing, and a beavertail hammer spur. It can be taken down like the real thing. Mine is 430 of 500.

    Things I would have changed:

An adjustable rear sight for windage. Instead of the distressed finish, I would like a "parkerized" WWII finish. Remove the S/F on the thumb safety. I may take it to a gun show and find someone who can refinish it with the parkerized finish.

    What others should know:

The M1911 is over a 100 years old and the design is still going strong.

    Things I liked:

Very realistic. Good weight in the hand. Comes in a nice box for collector value. Breaks down just like my actual 1911s. Perfect solution for low cost muscle memory training if you own 1911 platforms. And it can be shot indoors!

    Things I would have changed:

Should come with an extra mag. Can't drift rear sight. Even a semi loose fit in the dovetail with a set screw would work. But this is a minor issue, not at all a deal breaker.

    What others should know:

Mine shoots just slightly to the right. Hitting empty shotgun shells from 15 feet by holding just off the left edge of the shell. Pretty great results from a smooth bore. Have only used Avanti BBs so far. Gets about 60 rounds per Co2 cart. Get one before they are gone!

EVERY THING WITH THIS IS LIKE THE REAL ONE EXCEPT THE AMMO IT FIRES. WHEN I TOOK THIS OUT OF THE BOX I WENT RIGHT BACK & ORDERED ANOTHER.

    Things I would have changed:

    NOT A THING

    What others should know:

IF YOU DON'T GET ONE IT'S YOUR LOSS. THIS HAS THE LOOK, THE FEEL, & THE SOUND IN THE ACTION AS IF AN ACTUAL 1911 WAS CONVERTED TO AN AIR GUN.

I just got mine today this is a great looking and feeling handgun. It weights almost as much as my Ruger SR1911 Commander. It was very cold out today but I had to shoot it. The trigger pull was better than my Ruger This 1911 is a great gun to add to your collection.

    Things I would have changed:

    The highlighted warning label.

    What others should know:

If you pull the follower down pass the lock it loads so much easyer.

    Things I liked:

This being a representative rendition of the famous Colt used in WW1, the detail and distressed appearance is outstanding. Being a limited edition, it comes in a presentation case albeit cardboard, much better than in other models that are shipped in plastic over-molded casing. The weight and feel of handling the pistol are superb, close to the real thing.

    Things I would have changed:

I really don't like the "where made"in white lettering since it isn't made in the USA. They should have left that un-highlighted. The pistol should come with 2 magazines.

    What others should know:

A shooter? Don't know since this one plus a second one I purchased is strictly for the collection. Hey, for shooting, I purchased the Colt Commander to give you the feel of the blowback along with trigger and I am happy on all accounts. Remember, this is a limited edition for the NRA and therefore something special for viewing and being part of.

    Things I liked:

The feel, the weight, all are on a par with my "real" 1911. The only test off accuracy has been some back yard plunking at which the pistol performed well. I like the blowback action and especially like the gas cylinder removal as part of the magazine.

    Things I would have changed:

I appreciate the aged finish but it really brings out the "pot metal" look of the frame. Perhaps a well worn Parkerized finish with high and low lights would work better.

    What others should know:

    Great fun gun!

    Things I liked:

How close it is to a ACTUAL 1911A1 in appearance, weight and handling. Flawless operation so far. Magazine is a bit difficult to load with BBs. Accuracy with premium zinc coated BBs is very good!

    Things I would have changed:

It would have been better for a Commerative piece like this to not have such a weatherbeaten and handling wear finish. Same is true with my WWII version.

    Things I liked:

Umarex has done a very good job making this blowback version of the Colt 1911 pistol. The internal workings of this Colt NRA Limited Edition are very smooth and easy. The accuracy is very good given the fixed sights. My 10 shot group sizes were on target and consistent in size for all of the BBs tested. After subtracting 1 or 2 flyers for each, the group sizes were 1" (Copperhead and Cybergun), 1 1/4" (Umarex), 1 1/2" (Firepower), 1 5/8" (Avanti and Marksman).

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

The BBs shot were Crosman Copperhead, Umarex, Daisy Avanti, Firepower Gold, Marksman, and Cybergun / Swiss Arms. Ten shot groups were shot from a bench rested position at a distance of 18 feet (about 5.5 meters). Total shot counts were 65 using either Crosman or Umarex CO2. The Colt Commander accessory magazine works just as well as the magazine delivered with the NRA Limited Edition pistol.
