Great value for the performance that it offers. Ive always been a bit leery of CO2 guns, but this gun has surpassed my expectations! Its plenty accurate for its intended range, and is a great tool for keeping shooting skills sharp, in your own garage or basement. Lots of fun, low price point, accurate, and relatively quiet!
Things I would have changed:Perhaps, Crosman could reduce some of the creep in the trigger.
What others should know:Lots of mods out there to customize it to your own shooting style.

Light weight, easy to load, accurate on second or third shot.
Things I would have changed:Better sights!
What others should know:Gun Ranges are still closed here (WNY) and this pistol is excellent for basement target shooting. The Crosman Pellet Trap is a must have.

Don't have to pump! When you pull the bolt air from CO2 becomes charged making the CO2 last longer, vs constant air charge which can lead to leaks. Accurate, fun, powerful for CO2, and you can convert to PCP later. Perfect little pinker. Excellent price. Made in America!
Things I would have changed:Be nice if it came with fiber optic front sight and windage adjustable rear sight. Left hand bolt would be nice. All of which are easy upgrades for end user and some might consider fun to do themselves. Really not a complaint, just something to consider.
What others should know:If you don't own one something is probably wrong with you.

Nice little .22 'pooter'...good for pesky squirrel and chippies.
Things I would have changed:Left handed bolt option
What others should know:Haven't benched it yet, but shot good right out of the box. There are tons of add-on accessories for this unit. I had no idea.

Had to give it a try and like the heck out of it. Just had to move the back sight a little to the left and it was nailing a quarter at 25 feet (many a dime) in a cold basement with a 70 year old almost blind man doing the shooting. Probably will get a steel breech and dot later but because of my eyes and not the gun. Like the feel, looks the little kick. Even sounds good to me not to loud.
Things I would have changed:Not to much. If you want steel and a dot get it as a option otherwise you should be happy.
What others should know:CO2 makes things nice and loads fast and easy. Decent price. Maybe all this talk about having to own one is true.

The grips really fit my hand well. The trigger isnt great but it is manageable. The loading process is easy as was the installation of the CO2 cartridge. I didnt care for rear sight so I installed a cheap Crosman red dot on the Crosman bases. It makes an accurate, well balanced pistol. 10 meter accuracy was 5 shot dime sized group.
Things I would have changed:I would put a better rear sight on it.
What others should know:There are a lot of parts available on EBay and other sites to dress the pistol up. You can also get a custom gun built by Crosman.

This pistol and the custom 2300KT have proven to be very accurate right out of the box. The weight is very manageable for an older shooter. The sights are a bit on the rudimentary side on the 2240. The red dot supplied with the 2300 is good enough for a beginner.
Things I would have changed:The trigger pull is a bit heavy but can get reduced to a more reasonable rate. It's also a little rough. The manufacturer didnt do a very good job installing the rear sight.
What others should know:Spring for the steel breach block. The plastic one on the gun lacks the dove tail grooves.

Nice pistol. Great deal for the money. With a little work, you can make the trigger and action silky smooth. No need to buy additional parts, just search YouTube and see how much you can do with this fine pistol with some 600 grit sandpaper and polishing compound. PyramydAir had the best price and fast shipping.
Things I would have changed:A threaded barrel and better sights. But for the money, it's a well made pistol.
What others should know:There are lots of upgrades available that you can purchase for this pistol but also a lot you can do yourself at little or no cost with just some basic tools and elbow grease.

Pretty much everything. I bought the pistol along with the 14.5" barrel, metal breach and buttstock for the 1377 and added a Simmons 4x32 scope, now its a really nice carbine I use for pest control. After a short break in period, it was shooting dime size groupings at 25y. Currently I have a modded Boss Valve and opened up the valve bushing and added an LDC, now at 25y I'm shooting just about hole-in-hole. And if you're into modding, there's endless possibilities for this platform. Im super impressed with this pistol to the point where I want to order another.
Things I would have changed:Add a separate cocking lever (like some of the older Crosmans) in order to keep a pellet in the chamber without having to have it laying around the house loaded (for pest control) or scrambling to load a pellet in it.
What others should know:With the factory barrel in OEM configuration (unmodified) it is louder than I anticipated. Adding a longer barrel helps a little, but if you have nosy neighbors you might want to add a LDC.
