    Things I liked:

    Easy to load and use

    Things I would have changed:

Could use a little more weight. The gun is a bit light. Needs a better front sight.

    What others should know:

Get a scope. The sight is ok, but the gun is far better with a scope. This gun needs dovetail attachments for a scope. I can shoot a 1" target at 75 feet, but after that the accuracy drops off. Very good for beginners and those learning to shoot a competition .22 rifle.

    Things I liked:

power, accuracy, price. this gun is very accurate with most pellets including crosman premier hollowpionts, benjamin discovery, gamo magnum, gamo masterpiont, and rws miesterkugeln

    Things I would have changed:

they should make the rear sight adjustable for elevation and add a steel breach.

    What others should know:

this gun doesn't perform very well in the winter. also this gun has plenty of power for small game hunting, just killed a cottontail rabbit with one shot to the head with gamo masterpiont at 25 yards. and make sure you clean the barrel every 250 to 350 shots or the accuracy will go down.

    Things I liked:

Price, Made in USA, .22 cal, shoots smooth, no recoil, light weight, wood stock, easy loading bolt action, loves many different types of pellets. Tar and feather me if you want, but I actually like the trigger. It may be plastic but it feels good under the fingertip and is very predictable. One of my favorites to take out during the early part of squirrel season while weather is still warm to get the most out of the CO2. I hunt a lot with shotgun too, but I like air rifles in the warmer weather and you can hunt in a lot more places and not send every animal scurrying within a mile after you squeeze that trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

Add fiber optic fully adjustable open sights. Maybe a bit more defined pistol grip area on the stock, feels like I'm holding a flintlock.. I was going to say add a steel breech with scope rail, but that has already been addressed with the SE model and the aftermarket kit. I actually bought mine three years ago from a sporting goods store( SORRY PYRAMID AIR!!!!) before Crosman offered these choices.

    What others should know:

Great little small game hunter, especially for squirrel. Would limit shots to not more than 25 yards just to keep it humane. If you want a decent CO2 rifle that will put pellet after pellet through the same hole and not make holes in your pockets or wallet, I would definitely take a closer look at this one. It does like a number of different pellets, especially Crosman pointed hunting, the new Discovery HP pellets, those Predator Polymer tip pellets( these are a bit harder to load if you put the steel breech for some reason), and many more. Haven't tried the new .22 PBA Raptors though. If you have this gun already and want the steel breech kit, you'll need to trim the plastic shim that's between the barrel and the CO2 cartridge housing before you put it back on. And make sure you put it on with the correct side up. I'm surprised that Benjamin did not add such a shim to the Discovery. Don't forget to add a drop of Crosman Pellgunoil to the top of the CO2 cartridges before inserting them. Putting a nice coat of gun stock wax to the wood stock adds a nice shine and protects from moisture. Can easily add swivel studs to sling this rifle. Shoot safe and good hunting!

    Things I liked:

Light weight, fun, very accurate rifle. The wood grain is really nice. The bluing is very good. And I like the rear site. It is as good as any other metal sight I have had on any other rifle from the factory. The hooded front sight is a plus. And the read site is reversible so you can have either a peep sight or a notch sight. Between two of us we went through about 150 pellets with only two CO2 cylinders a piece.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    Things I liked:

almost everything. great out of box accuracy. heavily modifiable. modular with all the 17/22xx series. more aftermarket parts than you can count. and the best part, about 2 hours with a little work on the valve and NO LIE 750 + fps. hard hitting great hunting rifle. (with a droop compensator) VERY accurate out to 75 + yards. with a muzzle velocity avg. of 785 after my mods, hits target @ 75 yds @ 490-510 fps. best investment i ever made

    Things I would have changed:

on the 2260 the plastic trigger AND FOR GOD SAKES A GOOD STEEL BREECH, without the hassle of $100 more (2260se)

    What others should know:

benjamin diabolos and this rifle go hand in hand. get stocked on co2 and benji pels YOUR GONNA NEED EM. get with crosman for a $20 steel breech and by a good leapers scope. deadly combination

    Things I liked:

Appearance, Power, Construction, and Accuracy once you zero it

    Things I would have changed:

Add a mounting rail for a sight or scope, the 492mt mounts I ordered for my Leapers red dot had to be modded.

    What others should know:

Bought a Crosman 1077 first, what a waste the magazine construction lets too much of the co2 escape. I shot a squirrel and it bounced off. Sent it back the same day and bought the 2260, WOW! Buried a pellet 3/4" into solid pine at 12 yds. When mine came the rear sight was loose tightened it down and mounted my Leapers red dot, had to sand the edges of the 492mt mounts a bit but after that and zeroing it in no probs. I don't even miss the multiple shots, if you hit what you're aiming at you wont need them. That .22 pellet packs a punch! Saw that squirrel again the other day, he looked at me and starting laughing....at least he went happy. Great gun!!!

    Things I liked:

The rifle is ready to go right out of the box. all it needs is to be charged with CO2, which is easily accomplished by correctly inserting a bulb and replacing the screw cap per instructions. The peep sight is accurate enough for indoor shooting at 5 meters and the supplied front sight hood is a nice touch. The rifle is nicely balanced and trigger action is crisp.

    Things I would have changed:

As shipped, it is necessary to wipe the barrel and other exterior metal surfaces down carefully with a very lightly oiled cloth to remove traces of dirt and rust. This also protects the finish. Be careful that the oil you use is not one that could possibly damage any seals. The stock did not have a white spacer at the buttplate as pictured on the box.

    What others should know:

Velocities are consistent and in my opinion sufficiently high. As tested over my chronograph at about 68 degrees F, Crosman HPs gave an average reading of 553 FPS, while RWS Hobby pellets registered an average of 590 FPS. Variations were within 4 FPS for each pellet.

    Things I liked:

Stock was great! nice wood for the price. Shoots very accurately [ about quarter sized groups ] out to 30 yards or so then the groups get bigger. Quiet shooter, makes a little pop sound when fired. All around alright gun for small game hunters and guys who like to shoot accuratly but don't want to throw down 300 bucks for a gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The rear sight was way too close to my eye and it made the sight picture blurry, not to mention it was hard to keep the front sight on a consistent line when you were looking through a penny sized peep sight. The hole looks small, but when you look through it your face is so close it gets way too big. I put a scope on mine by removing the rear sight and using the same hole to bolt on a scope rail. Could be faster, It's a little slow for rabbit and woodchuck sized game but it will work with a well placed shot.

    What others should know:

The gun is accurate enough without a scope but it reaches it's full potential with one. I used the rail off of an old spyder paintballgun that I had and bolted it on through the rear sight hole. This gun is well worth the money! Buy it you will enjoy it.

    Things I liked:

This is just a great little airgun for the money. I bought it in .22 cal good for plinking and small game. Pretty accurate with open sights. Nice hardwood stock not world class but for $75 the rifle is hard to beat. Great for beginners learning to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

I've never cared for the Crosman/Benjamin breech design that does not include scope grooves. You'll need to go aftermarket for that fortunately lots of choices. Don't buy the Crosman scope mounts they are a clamshell design that will scratch the barrel and they aren't very stout.

    What others should know:

If you are looking for your first air rifle or just want a knockaround gun for fun this is it.

Everything! This is the first air rifle I have bought and I am really satisfied. First off the reason I bought it was because it was inexpensive and was a bolt action.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

Every 100 shots or so I need to tighten the stock to the barrel. I would buy the pellgunoil and a lot of Co2 and pellets.

    Fine like it is.

For the price this rifle can not be beat.

This thing is extremely accurate, don't have to pump it up

    Things I would have changed:

Scope mounting from Crosman (aftermarket) needs milling to accept regular sight. Changing to steel breech.

    What others should know:

I get about 40 shots to a cylinder, added a steel breech and scope because I don't see well.

    Things I liked:

Very accurate with a telescopic sight. Deadly on small pest at short range (50'), Good stock and reasonable finish for a inexpensive CO2 rifle. Just plain fun.

    Things I would have changed:

Lousy plastic sights-can't adjust very well.

    Things I liked:

Light-weight . I bought two of these and as for accuracy... .. one will stay withing a dime circle at 30 yards and the other ...ONE HOLE!! And as i stated before..each gun prefers ''certain'' brands of pellet.

    Things I would have changed:

    Definatly a heavier barrel!!

    What others should know:

The lockdown-yoke which holds the barrel to the cylinder feed-tube should have more than one set screw! The barrel can twist and with a scope on it ..it will get off-target easily...but this isnt so much a problem with open sights. Superglue easily fixed my problem with it.

1.The gun is made out of nice american wood 2.It has changeable rear sight 3.Its very powerful enought to take out small rodents 4.Inexpensive for the quality 5.When you add a scope it has a nice sniper feeling

    Things I would have changed:

    1. I would make the trigger and trigger gaurd metal 2. i would give it a scope railing 3.Longer barrel for better accuracy

    What others should know:

The gun is good for begginers its lightweight and i would recomend not killing anything bigger than a squrrel with it
