This rifle is well constructed and sturdy. The rifle performs consistently with different types of pellets and is good for small game hunting/pest control, target shooting and plinking. In my test using 3 types of Crosman pellets I got average energies of 14.7 fpe, average velocities of 680.2 fps and accuracy of 1"c-t-c for Crosman Premier HP; 14.7 fpe; 638 fps and accuracy of 0.75" c-t-c for Crosman Power Shot Red and 14.6 fpe; 677.8 fps and accuracy of 1" c-t-c for Crosman Premier pointed. I would recommend this rifle to anyone looking for a quality air rifle at a reasonable price. This now my go to air rifle for pest control and plinking/target shooting. The stock sights that come with the rifle are more than adequate for target shooting and pest control.

As stock rifle, nothing. But, the steel breech kit that Crosman makes should be a standard component for this rifle. Pumping the rifle is noisy (noisier than firing the rifle itself) but the forearm can be padded to minimize the noise when pumping the rifle.

First I want to say “Good job Crosman” for producing an inexpensive but high quality air rifle. Secondly, some background information on why I purchased this air rifle. I (we) have a rodent problem; squirrels and rabbits are tearing up my wife’s garden. My go to rifle for this problem, my nearly 10-year-old Benjamin 397, blew a seal. I drove nearly two hours to drop off the rifle to an air gun technician and he stated he had an eight-week backlog. I needed an air rifle now! I went to the Pyramid Air (PA) and Crosman websites to look for an inexpensive replacement until my Benjamin came back from the shop. After reading all the positive reviews for the 362 I decided it was the rifle to get. I placed an order with PA and they sent me the rifle. Unfortunately, it was defective and I had to return it to PA for a replacement which they promptly sent to me. My hat is off to PA for such great customer service. You folks rock!

I've had this rifle for 3 days now. I've been a lifetime shooter of 1377s and 1322s. With a little fine tuning to me, because of 30+ years of experience with awesome pistols just like this, this thing is an absolute tack driver. At 0-50 yards with a crappy airsoft 4x scope (with steel breech kit)I can same hole shoot 7-10 times at rest and close to it free standing. Nice, right? That isn't the only thing, I don't know how useful it is, but I'm center hitting an 8" cast iron pan at about 120 yards. I won $20 yesterday because a guy bet me I couldn't do it. I told him I'd do it 3x in a row. It was funny watching his face after every piiiing of the pan as I pumped up for the next shot. He forked over the $20 in the end, and I'm sure went home and ordered one for himself. I'm actually thinking of buying another because I'm afraid to alter this one in any way, but I know I shouldn't be, because these Crosmans are the best in my experience. I'll still get a backup I think, and seals. Thanks!

Place the rear sight in front of the bolt. I had a hard time being accurate with the rear sight being so close to my eye, and the peep did not work due to same reason. Strengthe the pumping arm. Just after a few days and maybe 2,000 shots I can feel it's a little weaker. I also had to really clean it up when it came, barrel was dirty and factory greasy. That's how it should be, but any rifle be it air or whatnot should be stripped and cleaned.

Buy it and the steel breech kit, throw on a 3/8 dovetail scope from your closet... You will not be disappointed if you like a tack driving pneumatic.

There is plenty to like here. After they discontinued the 2200 Magnum there hasn't been another .22 caliber multi-pump rifle in Crosman's catalog until now. Yes I know Crosman owns Benjamin and the 392, but as a Crosman branded rifle this is the first since the 2200 Magnum. This is very similar to their 1322 multi-pump pistol with the same level of customization. Power is right up there with the 392 but for half the price. Very easy to pump with the long pump arm that provides plenty of leverage. No problems with accuracy either. As I said, there is plenty to like here.

A steel breach would have been nice out of the box. However, you can get a steel breach and easily install it. So even then it's not a huge thing that I'm concerned with. It's hard to find anything to complain about with this one folks.

8 pumps maximum folks. I know Benjamin 392 fans will be used to that. However, with the new 392s having a 10 pump maximum as well as most multi-pumps being a 10 pump max, (or 15 in the case of the Dragonfly MK2) it's quite easy to forget and want to pump this gun 10 times. So just keep that in mind.

An XL version like the 2240XL with the steel breech from the factory, a peep sight like the williams wgrs 54.

Price, power, decent accuracy for an entry level pellet gun..my grandson loves it. Great for small game. I like Pyrimad Air!

Steel breach and scope rail standard for a little more money would be well worth it. Add on ones you could just by a Seneca Dragonfly

But a trigger lock for safety and quality heavier ammo for hunting.

The first thing you'll notice is how solid the little gun feels. Daisy 880s are $60 now, so I thought at this price point, I would get the same hollow plastic feel, not the case. Secondly, the accuracy is fantastic! Yes, I installed a steel breech so I could use my UTG compact 3-12x44 and I'm getting dime size 5 shot groups at 30. Quarter size 5 shot at 45 yards. This gun is a hundred dollars!! Yes I have $150 scope and $45 breech upgrade but its still impressive. I've had problems with every crosman I've ever owned but no one else offers a multi-pump .22 rifle for a hondo so I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did. Completely changed my mind on the brand.

Crosman needs to offer an upgraded model with a steel breech and this gun would run with a Senecca Dragonfly no problem. .

They had to cheap out somewhere to get it at this price and where did they do it? Sights. Doesn't matter because this gun deserves a scope anyway. Remember this gun has a break-in period so have patients. My first 50 rds, the gun wouldn't release all of the air at 8 pumps but zero problems now. Its worth the extra $45 for a steel breech FYI it voids the warranty. My gun loves Exact Jumbo Diabolo 15.89 gr the most. It's ok with others but loves that pellet.

Nothing. Arrived with the front sight base canted to the left on the barrel so it would be impossible to shoot accurately. I am returning it to Pyramyd for a refund. I do not want a replacement as it might be defective also.

Some quality control at the factory to weed out defective guns before they got to the end user.

You can take your own chances on getting a properly sighted rifle or look for another model or brand.

Stock feels solid, guns pulls up nicely. Easy to load, feels like she has decent power. The sights are easy to use.

More quality sights, an aluminum barrel band not plastic. Metal action, and not plastic. If they put 100$ more dollars into this gun it would be a gun comparable to the old Sheridan rifles.

This gun could be a outstanding little gun, but needs refinement.

I liked it enough to buy another one. It may not be perfection, but unlike my 3 Diana break barrels, it's dirt cheap, not a bit picky about ammo, and the rear sight is up to the abuse of canoe trip without falling apart. It's very compact, durable, lightweight, simple, powerful, and even w/ the oem peep and cheap Crosman ammo, I can't miss with this gun.

Folks critique the left-hand grip while pumping, and it does take some getting used to, but it's a trade off I think. While making the lever shorter would definitely offer better left-hand purchase, it'd also sacrifice the mechanical advantage of the long pump lever. Personally, I'd rather have the easier stroke. The hollow plastic clack-clack is WAY loud compared to my classic wood stock pumpers, but a little foam tape tames it to what I'd call acceptable.

If you like the stubby old school pumpers I think you'll really like this gun. I did anyway.

Different angles on pump handle so you can not pinch your finger tips. Ouch!

Not too heavy, easy to pump, accurate, easy to use, great value for the money, can be upgraded in several ways. I have upgraded several 1377's and 1322's I have customized and upgraded, and plan to upgrade this 362, even though it is a good item as it comes. I will upgrade the breech, add a scope or red dot. I use my 1322's and my 1377's that I have upgraded for pests around the farm, and in particular, squirrel hunt with both. Tthis will be a welcome addition to my collection of Crosman air products. One complaint. I know the 760 is popular, but it is a shadow of the older models. It is now a glorified bb gun. The two old rifled barrel, and upgraded 760's I have are easier to use, and much more accurate. That crappy clip setup serves no purpose but to slow down the operation. The old design of dropping the pellet in the tray and shooting (like Daisy has kept in the 880 and most of their pumpers) is far superior. The newer 760 looks nice but the clip and smooth bore barrel ruined it.

Nothing, it is good as it is, but the ability to upgrade makes it attractive to many airgunners. (like me).

Yes, people who buy the newer 760's don't know what they are missing, you should change it back to no clip, and a rifled barrel. (THAT, is a particular gripe of mine) the old adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it !! certainly applies to the 760, it was a great little air rifle before you tinkered with it. Whomever designed it should be slapped so hard he has to see out his ear holes. Thank you, John Salmons.

easy to use. lots of mods from the 2240 world. accurate with the right pellet. enough barrel is protruding to add a moderator, unlike the Benjamin Variable Pump. very easy to pump.

advertised power is overrated. no way you are getting 850 with lead pellets. all I can say for the trigger is it makes the pellet leave the barrel, but the unit is only $100.

I am impressed with the build quality of the c362. The stock is excellent quality for synthetic . This is a bargain! powerful and accurate.

Some effort to quiet the clak of pumping it ,a steel breech model and sights for the steel breech .

This is an excellent plinker,its accuracy and effective range beyond 35yds. Warrants a decent scope and the only reliable way to mount is a steel breech. If your a crosman tinkerer you will love this.

The aluminum trigger group is worth the price in itself. There's no other way to get this group this cheap in aluminum. Makes a great parts gun if you tinker with Crosmans.

Its very accurate and it packs a punch on anything it hits and its 22 caliber and its a pump

The breach on it needs to be replaced with the steel breach and scope, a place to install a sling it would be nice if they had it in different colors and maybe a stainless barrel I would gladly pay more for that package if they ever offered it, a camp stock would be good also

When you pump this gun 8 times and fire it it works as engineered but it doesnt release all of the air outta the chamber so when you go to put another 8 pumps in it its hard right off the bat cause Im guessing there might be 2 pumps stored in it already now if you dry fire it after the first shot that will release the rest of the air and then it pumps normal after that. The 362,1322,2289 drifter and 1377 all shoot great and easy to operate and gives you a lot of bang for your buck the shoulder stocks for the pistols are a must in my eyes and in mine the jsb 8.44 grain shoot really good outta mine and has a tight group its a dime sized group at 20 yards with factory sights

This gun is accurate and for no more than it is it packs a punch on anything you hit with it mine was a bit dry outta the box but with a few drops of pell gun oil it was ready to go

I really wish it came with a steel breach the sights that are on it are left to be desired but once you get them adjusted and you eye used to it , its not that back yard friendly if you have close neighbors and make sure you have a good backstop for the pellets I wish you could change witch side the bolt goes on might be a little difficult for some left handed beginners

If you pump it 8 times and shoot it it will fire like it supposed to but it dont release all the air outta the chamber so it will be tough to pump it another 8 times I had to re cock it and release the rest of the air out in order make it easier to pump its like the big brother to the 1322,2289 1377 with the shoulder stock this gun shoots great and is fun to plink around with if anyone gets one I would suggest having pyramydair putting on a steel breach for you and get a scope mounted and have them zero it in for ya I think that would be money well spent I dont think it would void the warranty cause they are a crosman repair center also it think

Hard hitting & exceptionally accurate. I turned the rear sight back around to the standard configuration and easily adjusted it to perfection for me; I'm partial to this11 sort of setup and love the front blade. The weight is just right; the synthetic material is light, non-slip & tough -- the same as that on the Benjamin 392s I'd say, but unlike the Benjamin, the buttstock comb is perfect too. ;-) With no recoil, It's not really needed, but the padded rear is very nice and super comfortable. It has an excellent trigger, with a light, well-defined break FAR superior to that on any other pumper I've tried. It's also easy to load and so far, shows no notable preference for any one pellet manufacturer, type or weight between ~12 & 21 grains. Finally, and best of all, it's SUPER easy to pump up: 2 or 3 pumps is fine for accuracy to ~40/50 feet & should be doable by almost anyone. Even full power -- 8 pumps, not 10 -- is no problem (again, unlike the Benjamin) and I'm 65 and disabled! :-)11

My favorite .177 caliber air rifle is a Winchester 1977XS, which incredibly, sells for exactly the same price as the Crosman 362. Now in my opinion, the 77xs is worth a hundred bucks, but considering this sweet little carbine is at least three or four times the rifle as the Winchester, the .22 caliber 362 is an absolutely incredible bargain -- about the greatest deal ever when it comes to air rifles. I have about fifteen airguns in my collection now, more than half of them variable pump pneumatic and CO2-powered airguns in .22 caliber, but the Crosman 362 carbine easily has taken over as my absolute favorite, go-to, all-purpose target shooter, plinker & small game hunter. What a great buy!

Built on top of a proven platform, this gun will take 1300 lovers to another level. I got this for my parents house. It's a classic 10 pump pellet gun in .22 cal. I added the steel breech and a UTG 4x Scope. I was putting Crosman 14.3gr Pointed pellets, in the same hole at 20 yards. HN Tin/Zinc Barracudas were dime groups at 20 yards, with 1 in 4 being a flyer(1" off), normal for lead free ammo. Took it to the range, and it was stacking Crosman pointed pellets at 25 yards. Lead Free ammo had one inch groups at 25 yards. I was hitting Pine Cones(2" diameter) at 60 yards with one mil dot elevation. 6-8 pumps is the sweet spot. 10 pumps seemed to cause the gun to pop and my pellets flew high.

I would love to see a "Pro" version of this gun that comes with the "Hidden screw" Steel breech, two stage trigger from the 2200 series, and barrel break. These are going to be the top mods for this gun. The trigger needs to be squeezed to get dime accuracy. My 1300KT has a two stage Marauder trigger in it, I've become spoiled.

It's harder to pump than a 1300. The stroke is twice as long.
The stock is short, so you'll have to mount the scope all the way forward.
