    Things I liked:

The Nitro Venom is all they say it is. Powerful, accurate, and gets quieter with use.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope is not the best so I installed a red dot sight and now the gun is super accurate and easy to acquire the sight picture.

    What others should know:

Buy it, you wont be disappointed.

    Things I liked:

In the hands feels more like a $300 rifle than a $150 rifle. I read ALL the reviews on this (and MANY other rifles) before choosing this one. This is, i truly believe, is the best made .22 cal Nitro Piston air rifle --FOR THE MONEY-- YES, you CAN buy a BETTER air rifle, but you will have to PAY MORE for it! I read the reviews & complaints about the trigger. Now, maybe just maybe it is because I an accustomed to shooting old military rifles and therefore I am used to the feeling of long pull "squishy" triggers, but to me this factory trigger was 100% OK. NOT a "great" trigger, by no means! But was WAY better than expected. The gun locks up very tight when closed, and accuracy seems to be "good enough" for it to have only 100 pellets through it. I know the accuracy will improve as the barrel gets broke in (250 - 400 shots to break in, as I understand it) but right out of the box I was keeping all shots with all 4 brands & weights of pellets inside the bottom of a 12oz. soda can at 30 yards. AFTER the barrel is broke in I will do a die-hard bench rest accuracy test with 8 or more different weights / brand of pellets and post a follow up review listing the results.

    Things I would have changed:

REMEMBER: This is a $150 rifle. NOT a $300 rifle! Many people say " I would change ABC into a XYZ and add a blah blah blah" not thinking when making their review that ALL THINGS they "Would Change" are ALREADY CHANGED on another model rifle,,,,,for MORE MONEY. So, lets get real here, what would I like to see changed that would keep the CURRENT PRICE of this rifle the same or less? 1) Sell the rifle for $25 - $30 LESS and they can LEAVE OUT the junky Center Point 3-9x X 32mm scope. The scope was a big disappointment. Sorry, it just is! Lucy for me, I had another much better scope that I put on this rifle, and will slap that Center Point onto some firearm that I trade off/sell sometime in the future. 2) A better trigger CAN BE MADE, WITHOUT costing any more money to Crosman. The triger on my $45 Crosman 760 Pumpmaster is better than the one they stuck on this $150 rifle. They DO know how to make a better trigger! 3) PLEASE leave off that goofy plastic muzzle break / silencer thing at the end of the barrel! I removed mine and it makes the rifle look more upscale and not so,,,,,,,,,,,,"CHEAP". 3) A metal trigger guard. It CAN'T cost THAT much more to make it out of metal! Event the $150 price point, I just don't see why Crosman could not use a blued steel trigger guard.

    Things I liked:

Loads of power. It feels good in the hand. I really like the scope rail welded to the receiver.

    Things I would have changed:

Throw scope in the maybe use later bin.

    What others should know:

I tried to zero again today but no go. Scope just doesn't adjust. I mounted another scope I took off another rifle and its hitting the mark quite nicely. I ordered another scope and will just toss the stockone.

    Things I liked:

The rifle has plenty of power. Very solid feeling gun. You can feel it when you cock it. No slop in the movement of the barrel.

    Things I would have changed:

First thing is get a new scope. They need to offer this gun with out the scope. Mine doesn't adjust. It does have a long trigger pull but you can deal with that by using the adjust screw on the bottom.

    What others should know:

Not sure what the problem is but scope is unusable. Always hits low and far left. Turning the windage and elevation screws does nothing. Still hits the same spot. I've fired about 250 to 300 rounds so far. I'll try to zero it again tomorrw. You can plan on getting a workout cocking this thing. I like the feel of it.

    Things I liked:

Received my Nitro Venom .177 on Feb 19, 2013. Packed well and no shipping damage. Just picking up this airgun one can tell its a quality gun. Mine did not have any problems with bluing or fit.Ilike the picatinny scope rail. The scope is not top shelf but remember the price of the combo. For casual backyard target practice and dealing with the occasional garden pest its a good bang for the buck. Quick service as usual from PA.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger. Way to long and rough. I would like the option of ordering without the scope.

    What others should know:

Before doing anything I cleaned the barrel with goo gone until the patches came out clean. Only took six or seven patches before it was clean. Checked all the screws. Shot 20 or so pellets before mounting the scope. First shot cracked like a .22 then after 10 or so it quieted right down. Optically centered the scope using graph paper per directions found on the web. A few shots later had it hitting bulls at 30 feet. Quite accurate right out of the box. Could not get used to the trigger so installed a GRT-III and wow what a difference. My groups closed up to 1 inch at 25 yards. I find my gun likes Crosman Premier Magnum Round Nose 10.5G pellets. Overall a nice accurate gun with a fair scope. Money well spent.

    Things I liked:

    Looks good in the box.

    Things I would have changed:

Internal quality control wherever Crosman is having these made at.

    What others should know:

After installing a "Tuna" trigger I found that the forward stock screws were distorted at the factory requiring re-tapping of the receiver and quality stainless stainless screws substituted. The stock is badly cut to hold trigger group and misaligned. Crosman stocks no parts on this model if you have any breakage. My husband is a gunsmith by trade...FYI

    Things I liked:

The look and feel is good. The finish is well done. It is quiet makes it good for back yard shooting without disturbing the neighbors.

    Things I would have changed:

Better trigger, the second stage is too long. It seems to be sensitive to what pellets you use for better accuracy.

    Things I liked:

I like the power and accuracy. I also enjoy the wood stock. I have the .22 version. I also like the scope with the Weaver rail.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is spongy and very average at best. Make the rifle a little bit lighter.

    What others should know:

This rifle is more quiet than my Gamo Bone Collector IGT but not as quiet as my Crosman Optimus. It is a little on the heavy side. Once this rifle was broken in
I installed a well known after market trigger and it became very, very accurate. It is more accurate than my Bone Collector but not quite as comfortable to shoot because of the weight. This is a very nice rifle and the price is good. You get a lot for your money with this rifle. You will enjoy this rifle more with the after market trigger. It's a 5 with the after market trigger and a 4-4.5 with the factory trigger.

    Things I liked:

This is a great rifle for the price. I read a ton of reviews before deciding on this one. I'm happy with it.

    Things I would have changed:

    Trigger

    What others should know:

Trigger - Very long pull. I prime mine as you can feel when you are there. Would be more difficult with quick shots/hunting.
Scope - Easy to zero. About 100 shots in and is holding origanal zero.
Noise - There is none. After reading other reviews I thought it would be louder during break in. Loudest part is hitting the target. I didn't clean my barrel.

    Things I liked:

I am x-military and have competitively shot different disciplines for over 30 years. I have a range set up in my basement and have taught gun safety and marksmanship for the same amount of time. I have shot indoor air pistol for 20 years and have 9 cheap chinese air rifles and decided it was time for a not too expensive descent quality rifle & after 2 mths of research I felt the Nitro Venom would be good for me. It is exceptionally well made, very nice rifle, well balanced, nice Scope & mounted easily and zeroed in 3 groups. At 25 yds. the 5th group was under 1". Will be testing different pellets to see which will give the best groups after 300-400 rounds.

    Things I would have changed:

Very nice trigger but would like to be able to adjust the weight.

    What others should know:

My 1st time dealing with Pyramid. Great all around service. I did 2 live chats and received good "me focused" help. Delivered 1n 2 days right before Christmas. My wife wrapped it and wouldn't let me shoot it until I opened it on Christmas day.

    Things I liked:

Hardwood stock and user friendly. Plenty of hard hitting power and quiet too.

    Things I would have changed:

3x9-40 scope would be nicer, but not really complaining with the factory scope.

    What others should know:

After receiving my first rifle, I was very disappointed when it completely stopped working only 40 shots in. The problem was a factory defect where the gas ram leaked all it gas and no longer wanted to function. One call to customer service and the problem was fixed with a replacement rifle who were happy to send a replacement out after sending mine back. Didn't take long either.
Over 200 shots in as of now and no problems to speak of. Starting to group close to a quarter at 25 yards, but not quite there in consistent groups yet due to unfinished barrel break. Very happy with this rifle though. It is what I was looking for in this price range for a .22 cal gas piston rifle. Puts a smile on my face when I hear the target box thud from impact because this rifle makes little noise during it's firing cycle which is also what i looking for.

    Things I liked:

    Fairly quiet and accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Quality control...the gun looked like it had been dropped in the mud out of the box.

    What others should know:

Initially I really liked this airgun. After the first few shots, it was quiet and pretty accurate. It was also fairly easy to break and cock. Unfortunately, exactly 1 month after I received it, breaking the barrel became extremely difficult. It happened suddenly and it has not loosened up at all. It can still be broken but the force needed to break it has left a bruise on my palm. Everything else seems fine but the barrel issue has made this gun very unpleasant to use any longer. I did contact Pyramid Air and they believe something is wrong, but since it is past the 30 day return, it looks like I'll be dealing with Crosman warranty instead of Pyramid...which sucks! I was hoping Pyramid would take care of this. I would NOT recommend this item because it has malfunctioned in a month and was dirty out of the box.

    Things I liked:

It looks very good and has an elegant profile. In summary the design and color is perfect and very attractive. Size, length, very easy to cock, feels good in your hands, however I wind up very disappointed with this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

When I got this gun I realized it had some kind of light brown “stuff” over the ventilated rubber buttplate that I thought it was mud. As the rest of the gun seemed impeccably new, I decided to clean it the best I could and keep the gun anyway. The trigger and the scope were its lowest points, although I could perhaps live with the trigger being so unpredictable, as I did, getting used to my Crosman Quest, and the scope was immediately upgraded to a “3-12x44 AO SWAT Accushot Rifle Scope, EZ-TAP, Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle, 1/4 MOA, 30mm Tube, See-Thru Weaver Rings”, I may have shot 1.000 pellets through it trying to zero the scope. I’m sure I got a very bad unit because this was the strangest performance I got from an air gun so far. I could hit the bull’s eye 3 times in a row and the 4th shot would go like 8 inches to the right. One more shot in the center of the target and the next would go 7 inches left and high. I never tried any other distance but 20 yards, and after 20 shots I had a group of 8 or 9 shots in the center and the rest of the target seemed to have been shot by a shotgun. I’m positive stating that I got the statistic “bad luck exemplar” that happens to some units that come out of the manufacturer’s line of production. I like Crosman and Benjamin.

    What others should know:

I wind up sending this gun back although I hate the trouble it implies but I had no other choice. It was my first gas piston gun and I would love to keep it but with this erratic behavior and lack of accuracy it was unbearable and absolutely unreliable. The guys at PyramydAir costumer service were very efficient and fast and everything went fine. Thanks PyramydAir, that’s the kind of service that keeps me coming back

    Things I liked:

Nice wood and pretty accurate for what it is, quarter sized groups at 25 yds from a rest. I would recommend this air rifle without any hesitation. It's way quieter than my chinese springer.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger, trigger, trigger. Even the adjustable trigger needs some help. Ditch the scope and add iron sights.

    What others should know:

Go ahead and spend the money and get the tech check. I wish I would have. The first one I got was defective out of the box. Pyramyd Air's customer service was great they took care of it right away. But, I could have avoided all of that by spending a few bucks extra and having them check it out before they sent it to me. Next time for sure.

    Things I liked:

This was supposed to be my first Nitro Piston rifle and I was very excited when it arrived. The gun looked good and had a very nice design and ergonomics and the weight was perfect. The price was fairly cheap for a Nitro Piston. Easy to cock. Opening the box I noticed what seemed to be mud on the rubber at the stock end. Some dark yellow brownish substance that was very hard to clean. Knowing that PyramydAir does not open the boxes, I tried to clean that dirt and keep the gun because I hate to send anything back. This had to be something that the manufacturer had failed to clean. The rest of the gun seemed to be impeccably new and looking good. I ignored the stock scope and installed a 3-12x50 leepers and went to zero in the scope.

    Things I would have changed:

About this gun I would change everything after this experience. If it were accurate the price would be a good value for the money but after the whole ordeal I wouldn’t pay 15 dollars for this particular gun. Please don’t get me wrong, I like Crosman and Benjamin. This particular item was just not (au pair) at the usual level. Manufactured in China does not mean it will have poor quality. There are very good manufacturers that maintain high quality standard in their product but this one was definitely not one of them. Crosman needs to pay more attention to what is manufactured under their license. I shall be very reluctant to decide to buy a Crosman gun the next time after this terrible disappointment.

    What others should know:

I shot more than 1.000 pellets through this gun trying to zero in the scope using several different types of ammo (heavier, lighter, even alloy). At 20 yards I could hit the bull’s eye 3 times in a row and suddenly the next pellet went 8 inches to the right. Two times more on the center of the paper target and suddenly 6 inches left and above. After 20 shots I had a relatively small group of 6/7 pellets on the center but the whole target seemed to have been shot by a shotgun. This happened again and again. I changed the scope and exactly the same erratic performance happened. This was the most inaccurate and unreliable gun I have ever tried and I had no other choice but to send it back. I have other break barrel rifles from Crosman and 2 pistols that I like very much so I think this was a stroke of bad luck and I got a very bad unit.

    Things I liked:

I can set it cocked for the weekend and not have to buy a new spring! (Replacing a spring is dangerous!)

    Things I would have changed:

My barrel doesn't lock up tight causing the vertical aim to be completely unreliable. The barrel end will wiggle up and down.

    What others should know:

Really nice except for not being able to hold a vertical zero. I wish I had spent more time with it when I first bought it to check it out. Ratings would be a lot higher if it was accurate.
