Things I liked:

Can you say impressed (in capital letters)? This is the first air gun I have purchased that actually performed up to spec. Right out of the box I mounted the scope which by the way is very clear even at close range. (21 yrds) I sighted it in at 21 yrds and put approximately 100 rounds through it before shooting through the Chrony. High=703fps Low=695.2fps Average=699fps. I'm not that good a shot but at 20 yrds from a rest (not a bench) I can put five shots in a nickel size group. It is not harsh at all. It's very smooth. I bought the lower velocity version to get an all day shooter, and that's just what it is.

Things I would have changed:

I pretty much like everything about it except the trigger could be improved. It has a long pull but not really hard to get used to. When it breaks it breaks clean.

What others should know:

If you have thought about a gas piston air gun then by all means this is a good place to start. The price is right and though I've only had it a few days I couldn't more satisfied.

Things I liked:

Light, easy to cock & all the other advantages of a gas piston.

Things I would have changed:

The safety is too close to the trigger. My son commented "you need to carry a screw driver around with you to pry the safety away from the trigger". This is a safety issue in itself; your finger is putting pressure on the trigger in order to release the safety. After 25 or so shots, wiggling your finger into the narrow space chafed my finger.

What others should know:

On one hand, the low velocity Titan is a sensible rifle: light, low-powered gas piston, auto-safety. This combination is ideal for women or young teens who have trouble cocking more the powerful, heavier weapons. We liked the gun for these reasons, but the safety was a deal-killer. You can see the problem if you look at the Titan pics. I also have the Remington NPSS and this safety is correctly designed. Thanks for allowing the return, Pyramyd!

    Things I liked:

I didn't know I was buying a "lower velocity" version of a rifle that cost the SAME AMOUNT of money. After kicking myself for not paying closer attention, I decided to see what I had bought. After changing to a 3x9-32mm Centerpoint, groups run as follows:(Premier Hollowpoint 15.3)-30yds.-1.5in., 45yds.-1in., 60yds.-2in.. (H&N Crow Magnum 18.21)-30yds.-.5in., 45yds.-1in., 60yds.-2.25in. I take Arizona squirel at 60yds. often with the Premier Hollowpoints, I just ordered the Crow Magnums, I plan on using them on jackrabbits under 50yds

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull is terrible. 4x32 scope.

    What others should know:

With heavier pellets, accuracy drops off around 55 or 60yd s. At 70yds. Crow Magnums were all over the target (6x8). Even though the GP is a good deal for the money, I plan on buying a Trail NP XL within the next 6 weeks,(I hope my wife doesn;t read this.) I will let you know if my decision is a good one. GOOD SHOOTIN.

It's a good rifle for the price and you get piston technology. I bought this and the stoger x20 with the silencer and the Titan was way quieter. I like the easy pumping because it is really smooth. The gun is a good shooter but I have only plinked with it and I have yet to try it on paper to see how it groups. Pros:

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

    Super quiet and smooth

    Things I liked:

PRICE! Easy to cock. Thumbhole stock. Gas piston. This is an all day shooter; I got it today, and shot it in the garage for some 8 hours. It has a lot of eye appeal. The lower velocity makes it fairly quiet, and an ideal indoor shooter. Perfect starter gun for new shooters.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety is awful. I fixed it.

    What others should know:

I put nearly 200 rounds thru it, with six different pellets. This gun doesn't like heavy pellets, but groups well with 11 to 14 grain ammo. LockTite all the scope screws. If you're expecting a tack driver, you will be disappointed, but a better scope may help. The trigger pull is surprisingly smooth, albeit a bit long. If you have never shot a gas piston air gun, I highly recommend this one.

Wow,popped the scope on fired 3 shots, made a slight adjustment on the scope, and now shoots a group the size of a nickel. Hardly any recoil and quieter than my springers. Loving it.

    Things I would have changed:

Wish it had iron sights ,so if scope failed in field you could still fire.

    What others should know:

For the price it should not be negative. Great rifle.

    Things I liked:

Works great right out of the package. Took about 20-30 minutes to get the included scope sighted correctly but once that was done this gun has been extremely accurate. I am using Crosman Premier Domed pellets and have had no issues. Very easy to cock and load. Very little recoil and the noise level is very low. I would say it's barely louder than my sons plastic pump BB/pellet gun. This is the reason I opted for the lower velocity in the first place. I am only using it for backyard pests and this is more than powerful enough to do the job.

    Things I would have changed:

It's a little heavy for younger or smaller people. I have no problems with it myself but I would not recommend this for younger kids learning to shoot. Scope is nothing special but works well enough for free. Obviously no one is buying the gun for the scope that it comes with!

Joseph Bako , Cincinnati Ohio . I really like the pistol type grip , and the feel of this gun on my shoulder . Gun is a bit heavier than Im used to . This gun hits really hard . 22 cal . is a nice change from .177 . Very accurate , and predictable . Once you have it dialed in , the only variable youll have to account for is your own breathing and heartbeat .

    Things I would have changed:

    A bit heavy . Better trigger .

    What others should know:

Nice change from .177 . Hard hitting . Fun .

    Things I liked:

Low cost. Very accurate. It took 5 rounds to sight in my Leapers 3-9x32AO scope and then I was consistantly hitting bullseyes at 10 yards. The barrel fits perfectly to the receiver so there is no excess play at all. Easy to cock and yet it still has a good amount of power.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope that comes with it is a throw away. The scope mounts are very low. If you buy an AO scope for this rifle you will need highter scope mounts. And, as everyone else has said, the trigger is very heavy and has an extreemly long second stage.

    What others should know:

Take the time to scrub the barrel out before you start shooting it and you can dramatically shorten or even eliminate the break in period. I just got this rifle today and already its one of my favs.

    Things I liked:

This gun looks nice and is well made. The scope does the job but is not all that clear for my eyes. I tried several different types of high quality pellets and even after several hundred shots and a good cleaning I was un-able to get groups under an inch and a half at 10 yards with the gun setting free on a bench rest. The nitro piston is nice as far as recoil goes there is very little jump when the gun is fired and is also very quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

Do away with the scope and put a set of sights on this gun and I think it would help accuracy some. The safety is a little too close to the trigger but that is easily remedied by removing the gun from the stock and carefully bending it forward some. Trigger travel is excessive and the adjustment seems to do little to change that.

    What others should know:

for those who like to buy American, Even though this gun is sold as a crosman it is made in China. When shooting this rifle a light grip works best both front and back. I got the best accuracy with H&N round nose match pellets with RWS Meisterkugeln a close second. This gun is a nice plinker and cocking efffort is lite, but if your looking for fine accuracy this is not the gun for you.

This IS an easy cocker. I was especially looking for that after recent open-heart surgery and a new zipper in my chest. Very accurate and likes most ammos. A bit loud but mostly just authoratative. I didn't like the appearance (shape is very nice and comfortable) so I disassembled it and refinished it with a coat of Tung Oil.Looks really special now, nice thumbhole. For the price, it is a great "paper" gun and well worth it.

    Things I would have changed:

    Refinish the stock. I did!

    Things I liked:

Great feel, shoulders nice, accurate, and beautiful wood finish. I watched some video reviews, one claimed it was not as quiet as advertised, but measuring the sound waveform envelope, there is less audio energy and it is much quieter to the ear. Kudos Crosman, I can shoot in my townhouse without bothering my next door neighbor! The same reviewer also said it did not have the velocity advertised, but mine does exceed the advertised velocity by about 10%. Velocity is in a good range - fast enough to be accurate but not so fast it will be a problem to contain pellets in the indoor range; and it won't break the sound barrier so will not get loud that way either. The velocity is just right. The weight is just right for me too (I'm 6 feet and 210 lbs.) and balances nicely. Kick is minimal so the artillery hold usually required for accurate shooting with a break barrel is not necessary - also you don't have to worry about your scope being springer compatible. I love the nitro piston! Cocking is smooth, not the very very smoothest but quite smooth. And the lower cocking force is nice too. I think in this price range the mechanical quality is above expectations.

    Things I would have changed:

A model with fiber optic front and rear sights would be really nice.

    What others should know:

If you're looking in the economy springer range, try to part with a bit more cash and get the Nitro Piston model. It has all the advantages of a springer with fewer of the drawbacks. I was hesitant to spend this much on a Crosman, but wanted these features on a budget - and it turned out to be a great decision.

I have had the gun for about a year now and I love it. The NP is very smooth to cock and feels much better than a spring. It has help up very well against nature as I have left it in the rain several times (Oops!)

    Things I would have changed:

I would change the scope that it came with because it was EXTREAMLY hard to get zeroed and I ended up buying a new one.

    What others should know:

The cocking effort can get to you easily and the trigger has gotten stuck before, but was easily fixable.

    Things I liked:

Smooth cycle, low cocking effort, my example is not pellet picky. After shooting a 250 tin of pellets, the next day no aches or pains. To heck with max fps for punching paper and cans with no fuss or muss, this is #1.

    Things I would have changed:

Stock requires long reach to trigger. Trigger is useful but not nearly as defined a release point as after market triggers. Scope can be used elsewhere for anyone needing something on their inexpensive pumper or holding door open.

    What others should know:

Obviously a BAM rifle comparing the stock to my B-26 2. After taking the action out to change out the trigger, its the same linkage as my Gamo 440. I would like to give it 5 star across the board as this rifle is fantastic *but* the darn trade offs they made to get it into a plastic blister pack knocks it off the 5 scale. That said its a hoot to shoot and I can't think of any reason not to have one. As the blog write up states under the "articles" review, its the smoothness and ease of shooting that makes it great. Also its fairly strong, as strong as my Hammerli 850 and tuned B79 CO2 rifles so its not limited to 10m style shooting by any means

The thumbhole stock works very well for me, although the finish on my unit was horrible! The nitro piston is working well and shoots great! I like it!

    Things I would have changed:

The rings just don't set well on the dovetail, invest in a 1 pc scope mount! Scope sits a little to low for me anyway, hard to get my face that low! After a thorough cleaning I realized just how bad the finish really is! This gun could look alot nicer, stock wise i mean, it deserves better.

    What others should know:

I'm a left handed shooter, right hand evertything else. Left eye dominance caused me to learn a left handed hold. I removed the barrel end piece since it is just extra weight for me. I kinda liked the look tho.

    Things I liked:

This is the first gas piston gun I have ever purchased and I'm sure it won't be the last. It cocks very smoothly and is fairly uniform throughout the stroke. It's very quiet compared to a steel spring powered gun of the same power. This is the first gun I have ever purchased that performed to it's own specification using lead pellets right out of the box. I initially shot about 100 rounds through it and then shot 10 rounds througn the chrony. With 14.3 grain Crosman Premier domed pellets it averaged 699 fps. This is a muzzle energy of 15.52 flbs. I was impressed. I put another 100 or so pellets through it and then did another test of 5 shots through the chrony and it averaged 698 fps. Very consistant in my opinion. At a measured 21 yards I can pretty consistanly shoot 1/2 inch groups using a tripod support while standing and resting the rifle on a gel pad on top of the tripod. I'm not that good a shot but this rifle is very easy to shoot consistantly. The scope that comes with it isn't powerful but is very clear and useful. I have a better scope on order and will see how much, or if my groups improve. Overall I think this gun is a very good deal for the price and I give it high marks for value.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is the only thing that I would like to see changed. It has what seems to be a very long pull for the first stage and it takes a while to get a feel for when it comes onto the the second stage. It takes a while to get used to how it feels. However it seems to be very consistant and it doesn't take long to get used to it. The trigger almost feels like it has three stages. First you pull against the return spring, then you pull through a long first stage, and then a short second stage with a clean break.

    What others should know:

This is a very pleasing gun to shoot and you can shoot it all day without wearing out your arm. It is powerful enough to shoot bunnies in the garden and squirrels of the bird feeders. I have really enjoyed mine and suggest you get your own. You will like it.

    Things I liked:

Great stock. Really nice wood for an inexpensive gun. Good blue job. I'ld say cocking effort is closer to 26#, but it's very smooth. This is my first nitro piston gun, and I'm very impressed. Smooth cocking & much less vibration. I have a Gamo Big Cat and a RWS 34P. I like all 3 of these guns, a lot. If I HAD to pick one and get rid of the other 2... it would probably be this one. ( but I'm glad I don't have to pick)

    Things I would have changed:

The stock could be a little longer, and the gun a little lighter.... Since these are mutually self canceling, I guess it's fine the way it is. The short stock is easy to get used to, & the weight's not that bad. I prefer the crisp trigger of my RWS 34P, but this one isn't bad.... just different.

    What others should know:

If you're looking for a LOW velocity air gun.... keep looking. This thing has a lot of punch. I'm not sure I would want the Hi Vel model unless I were going rabbit hunting. I bought a 2-7 Leapers scope, but the one that came with the gun seems pretty good (Centerpoint). Much better than the Gamo scope I got with my Big Cat. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this gun.
