    Things I liked:

Durable wooden stock. Very accurate! Made in the USA. Very little barrel jump.

    Things I would have changed:

    Better trigger assembly.

    What others should know:

Dollar for dollar this is a great value!

    Things I liked:

Got this as a bug out gun. Intended on putting it in truck. I have to say this is an awesome rifle! Yes made in China but with Crosman quality. Precise no tooling marks. Locks up consistently and is very accurate with open sights. Shoots crosman domes 14.3grain at 745-750 fps. The wood stock is nice too. I decided to keep this in the gun locker and ordered a shockwave for the truck.

    Things I would have changed:

Wish the sights were simpler lower and without fiber optics. The style like on a winchester lever action would be great. Bulky plastic is bound to get caught and break. Trigger-used the two washers that hold the action to the stock rather than the ball bearing mod. Feels better with barely a second stage.

    What others should know:

Gets better as you use it. Also quite quiet! My hatsan 95 in 22 is much louder and shoot a exactly the same speed. Highly recommend this gun!

    Things I liked:

Chinese airguns have come a long way. They're just as good now as the Spanish or Turkish ones. This one is smoother, lighter and way more powerful than my old German HW35E, both in .22 cal. Accuracy is about the same, ~.5" groups at 10M. Fit and finish is very good for such a cheap rifle, and the wood stock looks better than the plastic ones. Normally I don't like Tru-Glo sights, but this gun has the best I've seen, not fuzzy. Rubber butt pad grips the shoulder. Very little noise.

    Things I would have changed:

The lawyer trigger didn't have enough adjustment, so I replaced the screw with a longer one. It is hard to seat the .22 pellets fully by hand. This can affect accuracy, when the skirts are distorted when the breech is closed. I use a pen to seat them.

    What others should know:

    1) This is a very powerful air rifle, equal to some PCPs. It would be hard for weak people to cock. 2) Do not buy powerful spring guns from a big-box store. There is a good chance that someone there has dry-fired it; the worst thing that you can do with these.

    Things I liked:

Very durable well built gun, I have cycled over 5,000 shots threw mine. Power, clean and maintenance as required, and will stay consistent @ 870 fps. with lead shot. Easy to cock. Comes with sights and is very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Needs to be a tad bit shorter and lighter. Front sight is to high, I need to max out the elevation on the rear sight to compensate. Stock padding should offer more cushion and be shaped better. Also stock should have a bit less girth in the narrow behind trigger and some grips would be nice, yet at this price I can't afford to be to picky.

    What others should know:

This is a great gun at the price, yet a bit heavy and long especially for kids under 16. Shoots best w/ a 14.3 gr. pellet. My accuracy claim is between 25 to 48 yards with a scope from a bench rest passion using a resting pad.

Ease of cocking. Quieter than my 177.

    Trigger pull is to long.

    What others should know:

First one had a couple of flaws. My request for a return and replacement was handled in one day. Replacement was shipped the day after the returned gun received. Was shipped directly to my home via fedex and bypassed the smartpost.

nice guns for the money. catch a sale, use bull eye bucks or coupons and you can't go wrong for the price. I love wood stocks, even the lower end ones make an airgun look more high end.

    Things I would have changed:

better stain, better wood, better QC. but again. for the money, its a good deal.

    What others should know:

open sights are so so, and cheaply made. get a scope and get better results.

    Things I liked:

I am extremely pleased with the Crosman Vantage I purchased in .22 caliber. Gas ram guns are the way to go, compared to spring piston guns, and the Vantage is a fine example of why. The Vantage is very comfortable to hold, easy to aim, and accurate when shot. In my own personal experience with this air gun the break in period was less than 300 shots, and from ~25-32 yards my groupings went from 4" or more down to less then 1" after that period, all the while the gun shot consistent groups the whole time right out of the box. You CAN NOT beat this particular pellet rifle for the price.

    Things I would have changed:

The wooden stock, in my case, is a very unusual color and grain- I would have liked it to be just slightly nicer looking. Other then that, I really like every thing about my Crosman Vantage, it is absolutely my go to break barrel for backyard target and pest shooting.

    What others should know:

The Crosman Vantage gas ram rifle has a lot of good reviews, and if you purchase your own, chances are it will more then live up to your expectations. The Vantage has to be in the top 3, if it isn't the number one gas ram break barrel rifle you can purchase for less then 90 dollars. I use the open sights, and after break in, its a tack driving hammer. My Crosman Vantage .22 will punch holes thru 1/2 inch plywood at 25 yards easily. The Vantage seems to be a sturdy, decently well built cheapo level rifle that functions well and generates very consistent accuracy and power. I certainly am not disappointed with my Crosman Vantage, or my experiences with Pyramyd Air.

    Things I liked:

Price for a .22 Pellet gun you can't beat it.

    Things I would have changed:

Rear site adjusting screw just needs to be metal or longer. Keeps popping off when having to raise high enough to hit bulls eye.

    What others should know:

Besides what I mentioned above this is the least costly good quality .22 pellet gun I have found. I plink and hit squirrels and it is accurate enough when you find the right pellet and break it in. I like to shoot open sites which is why I purchased this, as I did not want to pay extra for scope I don't want.

    Things I liked:

    Rifle is accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Wood stock. It is not as pictured. . . It's just as cheap and ugly looking as can be. No noticable wood grain .. makes you wonder if it is really from a tree or some synthetic. Trigger is what one should expect on an air rifle in this price range ($79) .. horrible.

    What others should know:

This rifle has the appearance of a child's beginner rifle yet requires the cocking effort of an adult. If you're looking for a "field" rifle it's ok, but I'm truly sorry I didn't spend more for the Hatsan 95 vortex.

    Things I liked:

The gun is very accurate and not hold sensitive with the iron sights . If your not experienced with open sights it will be worth your while to learn how to shoot them . This gun will be iron sights only for me.

    Things I would have changed:

The barrel lock-up is inconsistent . Using a scope with this rifle can be maddening . You will have the experience of putting 3 shots into a cloverleaf and then have the 4th shot be 2 inches off. It's not you and it's a shame that Crosman can't seem to deal with the lock up issue. This is my second Nitro Piston and I love the gun but with open sights only.

    What others should know:

The trigger can be easily adjusted with a few mods-look them up on the internet.

    Things I liked:

FINALLY an offering without the added price of a throw away scope. I have a drawer full of them. .22 Nitro Piston power and consistency. I was dying to see what all this NP talk was all about so this offering in a Crosman Rifle at this price is amazing. I've an ok scope on it, it's one step up from cheap, and accuracy is way above what I expected out to 30 yards. Trigger is fine it's far from the best but it is predictable once you shoot it enough. I have absolutely no regrets or complaints about this purchase. I'm Completely happy.

    Things I would have changed:

Are you kidding? At this price Nothing!

    What others should know:

Learn the artillery hold ! Look it up Airgun Artillery Hold And Master it Nitro piston or spring if you learn this you'll be a happier shooter and learn to love shooting Springers

    Things I liked:

Pretty nice looking (if generic) ambidextrous wood stock, produces 15 FPE at the muzzle, Nitro-Piston makes this gun smooth as glass to cock, and very easy to shoot accurately because of the extremely quick and vibration-free shot cycle. Not too much plastic. Light. Hole in the receiver for a scope mount with a pin to prevent scope movement (if you buy a scope).

    Things I would have changed:

Either the cheap plastic open sights are completely inadequate, or one of the two guns I purchased had a barrel pointing too far down and to the left for the sights to accommodate the misalignment. Pyramyd Air was willing to RMA the gunn, but I decided to just mount a scope, which not only solved the POI issue, but revealed that this gun is actually impressively accurate, even at longer ranges. The trigger is has a very long and heavy pull, with not a whole lot of feedback regarding when it's going to break. It's something that a person can get used to, but anyone who has shot a gun with a Rekord, T06, or Quattro trigger will feel an immense difference.

    What others should know:

When I bought this gun (actually three of them), they were priced at about $80. You will be hard-pressed to find a better value anywhere. If the sights don't work out for you, get an inexpensive scope and decent mounts. There are drop-in trigger replacements available to lighten the trigger pull tremendously, but for the $35 to get that trigger plus the cost of a scope and mounts, you're starting to get near to the price point off a Hatsan combo that already has a good trigger and comes with a 3-9X 32mm scope. If you just want a gun to plink with and have some easy and affordable fun, I'd strongly suggest picking uop one or more of these Vantage Nitro Piston rifles while they are still $80.

    Things I liked:

At this price point, I bought three of them for my grandsons for Christmas.

    Things I would have changed:

The open sights are pretty marginal. They have too much profile and metal is always better.

    What others should know:

As I said, I bought 3 of them for my grandsons. First, I gave the bores a good cleaning, then I put 25-30 rounds through them to break in the pistons. Two of these guns zero'd in at 50 feet okay, but the third one would not come in even with the elevation all the way up and windage all the way to the right. It felt to me like the bore had a tight spot in it. I sent it back and Pyramid immediately sent me a replacement, which zero'd easily. Others have stated that the trigger is not the best and I would agree, but hey boys, this ain't no $1000 rifle okay? It is acceptable, if long. Even after only 30 rounds, I though the bench accuracy was okay and from what I hear it will get better. Will it ever be a sub-MOA gun? Who cares. If my grandsons can reliably blast cans with it at 50 feet, it was worth the money and the smiles I will get watching them learn the fundamentals with a reasonably accurate, well made GP rifle.

    Things I liked:

Very well put together, overall fit and finish on par with guns costing much more. Metalwork and bluing very good...Beechwood stock well crafted but staining and finishing could be better. Power and accuracy excellent. Moderate cocking effort, and noise is less than expected. I like that it came without entry level scope so I could make that choice.

    Things I would have changed:

Better staining and finishing of wood stock (even though it is Beechwood) would add to overall value (but you can hardly complain at this price point) Trigger ( as most reviewer have stated) needs some adjustment and getting used to and / or modification or replacement to add to overall accuracy. Open sights not great quality but decent scope fixes that.

    What others should know:

I originally purchased a Hatsan 95 spring model 22 (based on so many great reviews) but for the life of me could not get to zero and hold, even after 200+ rounds and adding a Hammers 3-9 40 scope (Thought I had forgotten how to shoot?? ) Since I like the scope, and after reading many, many reviews I decided to step down to a more basic gas piston rifle with no scope, at $80 the Vantage was 1/2 the cost of the Hatsan. After receiving the rifle and mounting the scope I have the rifle zeroed to 1" group at 20 yds in only 10 shots (Used a bore sighter to guickly rough in the scope) With a bit more practice and adjustments (with stock trigger tweaked a bit) now shooting same hole to dime size groups at 20 yards. Could not be happier with this rifle, until I am ready to step up to higher end break barrel or PCP gun

    Things I liked:

I bought this air rifle when it first came out. The one that I recieved was a combo w/4x scope and was 177 caliber. The cross hairs on the scope broke after about 1 yr. Other than the loss of the scope, there has been no problems with this gun. I have owned it many years now. I did a trigger mod after 1 year. The accuracy of this gun after the trigger mod, is very good. My gun will hold 1in groups at 35yds easy. I replaced the broken scope with a Hammers 3-9 x 40mm AO scope. I shoot mostly crosman pellets through it. It shoots crosman Destroyer pellets well and is most accurate with crosman ultra magnum heavy 10.5 gr. domed pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock trigger is the only flaw but is easily fixable. Break point on the stock trigger is not well defined and the pull is long. The scope breakage was my fault.

    What others should know:

The gun preforms well in cold weather. I have used mine in -40 degree conditions with out any problems. I have replaced the exterior screws with nylon locking hex head cap screws and they have not loosened-up ever again. Blue lock-tite works too but has to be replaced once in a while. Ny-loc screws will never come loose, unless you remove them yourself. I use an inch/pound - newton meter torque wrench to tighten the screws with and the button head hex screw works well for that application. I am a retired class a repair machinist and have info for torque values of screws and bolts of various grades. Cap screws are grade 6 or higher. Torqueing the screws gives an even precise clamping pressure all around. The screw stresses are then equalized and I think this makes for best accuracy.

Wood stock, after giving it a new finish. Good power and feel. Priice

    Things I would have changed:

The finish looked rather plastic. Make cocking less difficult. I have a benjamin (crosman) trail np2 which cocking is a breeze by comparison. I also paid alot more for it.

    What others should know:

If you like getting good deals on project guns, this one is a must. Rework trigger, refinish stock, scope it (open sights on it are usless, and its a nice break barrel. Note: if you are having more than usual accuracy problems using the artillery hold, choke up on it a bit. Mine prefers a solid front hand hold. Don't strangle it, but secure it..

    Things I liked:

Well built, strong, powerful, nice wood stock

    Things I would have changed:

better sights. Mine shot over 3 inches to the left at 30 feet. The rear sight did not have enough right travel to correct it, so the rifle could not be sighted in and I had to return it. The open sightscare plastic and cheap. Crosman needs to use better quality sights even if it means raising the price by a few bucks.
