Had one of these for about 8 yrs. till the seals went bad, so I ordered a new one because it actually cost LESS to buy one than to send the old one in for repair. Strange new world we live in, ain't it? This is a fun, accurate, realistic looking - and feeling - revolver at a reasonable price. If you like the Colt Python and/or Dirty Harry, ya gotta get one of these.
Things I would have changed:Three strikes, but it's still not 'out'. One: this gun came with an instruction booklet for a Crosman Pro 77 semiauto! Can't believe they screwed that up. No problem for me, because I know what I'm doing with the revolver, but could be a hassle for a novice. If you get one with the wrong booklet, get in touch with Crosman or Pyramid for the right book. Two: my old gun had a steel barrel, but the new ones now have a plastic barrel. Not a problem, as I had my old 10" barrel assembly and just swapped them out, but it's an indication of deteriorating quality. Three: the big one. You should be able to pierce the CO2 cartridge by turning the screw by hand, but mine turned really hard, and wouldn't pierce the cartrige till I used a pair of PLIES on the thumbscrew. If you get one that doesn't want to puncture the CO2 w/o a lot of effort, be careful using pliers. Go just a little twist at a time or you could blow the seal from applying too much pressure. Or just send it back to Pyramid for a better gun. Mine may even work better as time goes by, but right now it takes a really hard twist to puncture that CO2.
What others should know:Good gun, fun to shoot and highly recommended for the price, but be aware of some drawbacks.

10 shot repeater means more shooting and less loading, Sights are very good and accuracy is very good for an air gun revolver. Can be cocked manually and shot single action or double action by squeezing the trigger with the hammer down. Just like a double action revolver. While it's mostly plastic and pot metal like other Crossman air pistols, in balancing price and materials, this solution is just fine. After shooting 3 cylinders of CO2 and almost 200 pellets there is no sign of wear or loosing of the action. I bought three extra rotary clips and initially load them all for a relatively uninterrupted shooting session. Excellent practice for basic shooting skills and some fun in the process.
Things I would have changed:The rotary clips are kind of loose fitting and upon loading and closing the barrel/ frame seem like the fit is sloppy. When cocked, the clip is rotated into place and and held in place with a pellet aligned with the barrel. No problems, but not very confidence inspiring at first.
What others should know:Shoots quickly when using double action, but its helpful to allow a couple of seconds between shots to build full pressure. The inner edges of the hand grips where the fingers hold the grip are rather sharp and feel uncomfortable, especially to the middle finger where much of the weight of the gun rests. A few swipes with fine sand paper along these edges made a big difference in comfort.

Price, weight and power. It's not all plastic like you might think. But far from the quality you get from a $200 gun. Has die cast metal frame and abs barrel, mag ect. Good power and relatively accurate. Feels real enough for a cheapy. Very low recoil kinda kills the realness and feel of power. ( doesn't feel as powerful as it is). Would like to get the all metal 586. It's on the list anyway. No matter what my next choice it will be from pyramid. I receive my packages in three days and they resolved any of my issues quickly and at no cost to me. I can't say enough about them and recommend there sight to all my friends.
Things I would have changed:Your already getting a good value. But if I had to change some thing why not make the barrel die cast as well?
What others should know:It's a little tough braking the gun to load the mag. And extra mags are a must.

Quality, styling, accuracy, not loud, unbelievably low price, especially with Pyramyd's promos.
Things I would have changed:Nothing, Crosman nailed this one.
What others should know:Buy two sets of clips. That will give you enough shots for one CO2 powerlet without having to reload the clips.

It is a very good gun for plinking and fun i think alot of people who like to shoot for fun should get one. Also it is very comfortable when i shoot it.
Things I would have changed:Well i wouldnt change any thing it is already good enough
What others should know:NEVER leave ur gun in the sun or in a hot place wen it has a CO2 cartrige in it it will not fire. If u do leave it in the sun or a hot place and it dosent fire you will have to take it to a cool place and let it it and cool down.

Things I would have changed:it might as well be a single shot- the pellet velocity DROPS A LOT- even if you single action the pistol. Use the double action and you'd be better off throwing the pellets at the target.
What others should know:I'd pass on this offering from Crosman

What others should know:This is my frist CO2 action pistol. I have many airguns, many bought from PA. It's east to load for anybody, easy to load CO2, easy to load mags,(buy extra) great to teach handling of revolvers, I'm 64 and have never had so much fun shooting. It's acurate.at 25yd. groups are at 1 to11/2 inches.with RWS basic wads.Great gun buy it you wont be sorry. It was very acurate just the weight was just right for me i was 10 yrs. old when i got it now 12
Things I would have changed:The break barell i would have traditional sling out cylinder to load pellets, also i would chenge the loudness and the co2 mechanism
What others should know:Not the loudest gun but not all that quiet. The cod has a ring type thing that you twist to puncture the co2 i had mine when i was 10 i had trouble pucturing the co2 so i had to use pliers and broke the ring swivvel.

Weight, feel in your hand, style, double action.
Things I would have changed:This gun is not as accurate as I had hoped it would be. Also the first 10 shots are very loud. Make it more accurate and not as loud.
What others should know:This was my first CO2 pistol and I really like it. I have always been a fan of revolvers and when I saw this one I had to get it. I love the girth and authentic python feel. I got a nice leather holster for it and love the way it the gun fits in it. The double action was also a cool addition. My grandfather liked it so much ordered one too.

Rifled barrel, shoots pellets, accurate, low price, revolving clip, feels like an amalgam of Webley Revolver and Colt Python.
Things I would have changed:Sell a variant with a longer barrel.
What others should know:Reliable air revolver, probably the best choice if you want one.
