I really like short barrel, "snub-nose", revolvers like this Dan Wesson 715 2.5" revolver. The all metal construction makes the 715 2.5" an even better replica than any made of plastic composites. This 715 2.5" replica is well worth the additional price. The metal framed - rubber coated grips of the 715 are a great improvement over the plastic sleeve grips of the original Dan Wesson replicas. The grips include the hex wrench for tightening the CO2, and the rubber coating provides a very comfortable, non-slick, surface. The single action trigger breaks crisply without any creep. I especially like the fully adjustable rear sight. For a 2.5" barrel revolver, the accuracy is excellent. Shooting single action from a bench rest at 18 feet to target, my best 6 shot groups were 0.53" (H&N Match Rifle), 0.59" (H&N Spitzkugel), and 0.63" (Sig Sauer Match Ballistic Alloy). Total shot count is about 78 after which power drops rapidly.
Things I would have changed:I would like the double action trigger to be smoother like those on the Smith and Wesson 586 and Gamo PR776 revolvers. The 715 double action trigger pull is heavy and rough to me. I find it difficult to stage the double action trigger pull at the break point so that I can adjust my aim before pulling through and firing the shot.
What others should know:All of these 6 shot groups were performed single action from a bench rest at 18 feet to target and measured center-to-center using a ruler. Crosman Premier wad: 1.5"; Meisterkugeln Pistol: 0.94"; Meisterkugeln Rifle: 0.75"; Hobby: 1.2"; R10 Match: 1.2"; RWS Supermag: 1.5"; JSB Match Diabolo: 1.2"; H&N Sport: 0.81"; H&N Match Pistol: 1.3"; H&N Match Rifle: 0.53"; H&N Finale Match Pistol: 1.6"; H&N Finale Match Rifle: 0.75"; Crosman Premier domed: 2.1"; RWS Superdome: 0.88"; Falcon: 1.4"; JSB Exact RS Diabolo: 1.3"; JSB Exact Diabolo: 1.6"; H&N Baracuda: 2.3"; H&N Field Target Trophy: 1.4"; Crosman Premier pointed: 1.2"; RWS Superpoint: 1.8"; H&N Spitzkugel: 0.59"; H&N Match Green: 1.1"; and Sig Sauer Match Ballistic Alloy: 0.63". I managed to get as many as 90 shots per CO2, but the last 12 were much weaker. Above about 84 shots, the pellets started to bounce off of the target. I recommend stopping after 78 shots.

Looks nice. It actually works. Mine is accurate to the 10 yards I’m shooting and I get roughly 80 shots per cylinder.
Things I would have changed:More power
What others should know:This gun actually works. My 6 inch is horrible. The 6 shreds pellets because the cylinder doesnt line up with the barrel properly. My replacement does the same thing.

Everything, It shoots straight as I can hold it! Crazy for a short barrel. Better balanced than the longer barrel versions Fit and finish are beyond belief, The holster fits perfect. I like the safety perfectly hidden.
Things I would have changed:make it free and available I waited long time to get
What others should know:speed loader kinda hokie, trigger pulls a bit hard.. Clean the barrel before use! Be careful as He-double L hockey sticks, its looks real.

Realistic feel and operation. Quality build. Weighs as much as my Speed Six. Operates a little different from my favorite revolver but will serve the purpose: More trigger time!
Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:Buy a lot of pellets and co2. Because you're going to love this! This is another tool for training my granddaughters shooting skills and safety.

Realizum. My CCW Fire arm is a Colt 357 King Cobra 3" barrel. Had to wait for this air pistol a bit but WOW WOW WOW Worth every day i waited. Dead actuate easy to load. Can't say enough good things about the product and Pyramid Air sales. Wonderful transaction.
Things I would have changed:when shooting in semi auto mode the trigger is a bit hard to pull.
What others should know:If your thinking of purchasing one don't hesitate. This revolver is worth the wait and your hard earned money

This is one nice gun. The balance & feel are good. The accuracy is superb for a short 2.5" barrel in single action mode. Nice smooth & crisp trigger pull in single action mode. Double action mode isn't all that great as the trigger pull seems a little too hard to hold steady. The rubberized grips feel good and solid compared to other plastic grips you find on other pistols. The safety is a nice feature and easy to get at. The front and back adjustable sight work surprisingly nice to line things up with the target. I haven't finished checking out the accuracy of different pellets yet but I can tell you this, that I'm getting nickel sized 6 shot groupings from 10 feet using the original open sights and Crosman Premier Hollow points with my arms resting on a table. (I didn't use sand bags or anything to brace the barrel etc. so it's probably capable of even better accuracy if it were to be bench rested). All in all I'm happy with the purchase and it's a great gun for the money..
Things I would have changed:I would try to make the trigger pull in double action mode easier to pull and maybe not quite so long of a pull before the hammer releases..
What others should know:The Dan Wesson 2.5" pellet revolver has a rifled barrel and the whole gun as well as the cylinder feels solid and tight all the way around.. It has a realistic weight also... The speed loader works well and the grips don't get in the way. I bought more pellet cartridges and found myself using the speed loader more than I thought I would.. I once had a real Dan Wesson 357 revolver that shot .357 powdered ammo and this pellet version reminds me of the real thing...

Build quality, heft, flawless action
Things I would have changed:Not much
What others should know:This is my third Dan Wesson stainless snubbie. I started with the original BB revolver, then upgraded to the rifled pellet revolver when it became available, and finally this 715. The difference between the 715 and the original is remarkable. Gone is the loose and fiddly grip cover. Overall, it feels much more put together and thought out. If you are weighing between the base model and the 715, choose the 715. You won't be disappointed. One caution: do not shoot this pistol in a suburban backyard. It is EXTREMELY realistic, and might just bring lights and sirens. It has become a favorite among my airgun buddies when we get together for a shoot.

Absolutely love it. It makes practice affordable and spontaneous. I take it many places with me (as with my primary carry revolver) and I can simulate situations in a variety of locales. I do wish I could "chamber" BB's and pellets with it.
Things I would have changed:The ability to shoot pellets and BB's as needed from the same frame.

VERY realistic look and weight, impressed!! Even though the double action is a little too stiff due to the forcing cone spring at the front of the cylinder, DA and SA is incredibly smooth. The rubberized grips are VERY comfortable, and I like the added weight and solid feel of the metal on the inside of the grips. I only gave 4 stars on the accuracy for the moment. Out of the box accuracy was decent, but I haven't completely put this pistol through it's paces yet. Aside from the outer grips, this pistol is all metal, including front and completely adjustable rear sights- the extractor rod IS real steel
Things I would have changed:Things I did change- Took out and painted the front sight red. I think the out-of-the-box look of the cylinder was pretty cheesy, kind of lathe turned cheap aluminum, compared to the beautiful chrome plated finish of the rest of the gun. I sanded the cylinder smooth and put it on the polishing wheel. I mentioned the double action was a little stiff- I clipped a coil off the forcing cone spring, this helped, going to sand and polish the cone as well. I posted pics,,,

This has become my favorite pistol to shoot. I love the weight and balance of this revolver and it so reminds me of my model 19 smith&wesson 357 magnum revolver. This revolver is incredibly accurate and the single action trigger is outstanding on mine. The grips although not rubber have a nice soft feel to them and fit my hand perfectly. Over all the finish is beautiful and the revolver loads easily for both pellets and gas. I prefer to shoot this one over the 4 and 6 inch versions of the 715's that i have.
Things I would have changed:The only thing i think they need to address is the double action trigger. It has no set point and requires a hard pull which happens quickly. Not a deal killer by any means and for the price this is one heck of a bargain for what you get. The only nit pik i can make is the hammer shows a seam and it would look nicer with a solid hammer.
What others should know:This is one really nice revolver from ASG! i may buy a second one as this is such a sweet revolver.

Very solid metal revolver. The silver finish is very nice. I use it with a holster (draw & shoot) to practice indoor at 5 yards.
Things I would have changed:Package with some kind of circle shaped moon clip. This makes reloading very fast. paint part of the front sight blade white and offer cororful wrap around grips as an accessory. Just like the ASG optional sight rail that comes in different colors
What others should know:This revolver is a very good, solid plinking & target gun! It just fun to shoot.

The heft, finish, and accuracy of the pistol
Things I would have changed:Reduce the trigger pull. This is a double action pistol with no provision for single action which means the trigger pull required to cock and fire the pistol is considerable, at least for me.
What others should know:Very accurate. Just a great, handsome pistol.
