Very light weight

loading the mag is different from my other rifles. Its not difficult just none of my other mags load the first round backwards

Perfect rifle for young shooters. Cocking gets easier with use.

The price. The build is very nice for a PCP at this price. It's light and compact. Quiet. Acceptable shot count. Good accuracy. This is far from my first PCP but it punches way above it's weight class for a starter PCP. Great packaging

A regulator would be nice for a few more extra shots and a more even string. I psrfer a picatinny rail over the dovetail. The barrel would benefit with either an added or moved barrel band, but I haven't had a single issue. If you talked care to not knock it around it'll be fine as is. I would have like it to be cleaner out of the box, although the dirt is imperceptible to thr naked eye. Hit it with a Ballistol wipe and you'll see what I mean. The barrel, all metal, and buttpad is filthy.

I always give my new airguns a wipe with a Balistol wipe. When I did this one, it turned out to be filthy. Probably factory preservatives. Take my review as fact. Most, if not all reviews are either someone loves it or someone hates it. This is an honest, in between review. It's a great, affordable "unregulated" PCP. If this was my first PCP I'd be very happy. The wjole.famoly can shoot it due to it's size. Kids can shoulder this thing, uet it doesn't look out of place when a grown man like myself shoulders it. Good power and accuracy. Just clean it up and take care to not ding it around. Diana are all about the floating barrel because it works. It's it botherd you that much you can buy an aftermarket barrel band for under $15 and your problems solved. It's a very nice PCP.

Pay for the 10 for 10 service. You will never know how many times it will save you some frustration. Warning! Long-winded review. I received this rifle in Feb of '93 which is in the rainy season here in the PNW. It arrived with the tank already filled so I shot ten shots on the first dry day to see if the velocity claims were valid. 7.9 g pellets shot well above the claims on the box. When I went to recharge it with my Air Venturi RovAir I discovered that the supplied fill probe was over-sized and wouldn't go into the fill port. Luckily I had the probe that came with my Bandit. Charged it up, put away until dry season. When I brought it out to shoot groups it wouldn't group at all. I had held on to it too long to send back. One of BB's blogs discusses a mis-aligned moderator baffle spoiling accuracy so I decided to look inside mine. It was a mess. It only had 3 baffles out of the 5 and one was damaged. I stole the moderator from my Bandit. Now 10 shots will fit under a dime.

My .177 cal. Stormrider was delivered neatly packaged. My first impressions on unpacking the Stormrider was the sleek gracefull look of the rifle. The small air resovior allows it to be designed to avoid the bulky look most PCP guns have. The Stormrider was light and agile and was very comfortable when I shouldered it, and the stock was finished with a nice satin gloss. I charged it up to 200 Bar and shot some pellets, it was quiet and seemed to be fairly accurate. As old eyes and iron sights don't work well together my next step was to mount a UTG 4-16 X 44 compact tactical scope on it. After sighting in the scope, I was impressed with the accuracy I was getting so I compared five shot groups from the Stormrider to five shot groups from my Air Force Talon and my Benjamon Maurader using 8.44 gr. JSB exact and 7.9 gr. Crosman Premier pellets in all three rifles. I got five shot groups that you can cover with a dime from all three guns.

For the price, nothing.

For hunting I would advise getting the rifle in .22 cal, adding a front barrel band and a cover to keep the fill port clean.

Light weight. Pretty accurate. Make sure you get the 20 for 20 test the scope mount and zero. Sometimes the moderator on these are defective and your pellets hit them. So get the 20 for 20 because these professionals will be able to tell if there is something off.

Nothing for this price point.

If you are buying anything that needs days to get shipped why wouldn’t you do a 24 hour tank test a 20 for 20 shots? Be simply foolish not to get it. Great product btw.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I have to tell my story on this one.I ordered a what is considered a inexpensive scope named Tasco as I used them in the 80s on center fire rifles.I opened the box of the Stormrider and mounted the Tasco scope 4x32 that fit flawless and the magazine cleared perfectly with about 1/32 clearance.Then I loaded the magazine and set the Stormrider on a bench rest and aimed at a 3 inch spinning target at 25 yards fired and twang / spin ! It was almost zeroed with no adjustment. I am happy with my set up.

This isy second Diana Stormrider I've gotten from Pyramid air and it's light weight and simple design make it a great small game rifle for younger hunters to use, it's power is respectable and accuracy is great

I would ad a extra barrel band for the end of the barrel to help stabilize any droop,( which has not been a issue as of yet.

The price of this rifle is very impressive for it's I feel it should get more credit

I like that it's little and powerful. One of my favorite guns i got. Mine shoots above the fps limit. Probably should do a video. Nice look and feel. Really fun to shoot. Glad I got it !!!! If I didn't have one I would buy one again. It's not a toy. It can easily kill or seriously hurt someone or something. I got .22 it flies faster than the .177 Fps numbers in here. Been like 2 or 3 years or more, gun doesn't lose air. Never has. The bottom line is, It Is a nice-looking, little, very powerful gun, with pellet loading problems with the magazine, you might have to fix or get fixed or load a single pellet by hand.

I would change the magazine. Mine gets stuck most of the time. I have to feed one pellet at a time. I haven't tried to fix it, maybe I can, if I tried. The pellets don't load well with this setup. Don't know the problem yet. If the pellet lines up well, I don't know. The pellet gets lodged between the Magazine and the barrel. Only way was take a utility blade with vise grips and cut the pellet in half. Be nice to have after-market parts for it. Not many.

Remarkably quiet, unless I'm doing something wrong. Can hit a saucer (y'know, like for a teacup?) consistently at 100 m.

I don't love the Monte Carlo comb... never have, even though it was on my first powder burner .22 when I was 12. This is a pretty graceful example, which is kind of self-contradictory. I don't like the look, but I like the way it fits and shoots very much, and if it fits well and shoots well, that is 51% of everything. But I'd love to find a classic flat-topped stock for it. Other than that, it's gorgeous, and functions superbly.

It's inexpensive and the overall quality is very good. The form/fit/function including the wood stock is very good. Shoulders quick and is fairly light to carry. Diana did a good job with the design engineering.

A nice air rifle for the price point for sure. I'd either float the barrel or add a barrel band after the stock.

This is an entry level non-regulated PCP air rifle not a $1500.00+ air gun. Since it isn't a floating barrel design the rear sight and barrel band attached to the air cylinder rubbing on the wood stock and in my case caused a wandering POI shift issue... (expansion/contraction of different materials at different rates). I fixed this by adding a barrel band after the stock, I added a barrel clamp to the barrel and air cylinder (beyond the stock). I made one on my 3D printer. It pumps up easily with a hand pump from low to hi manual stated recommended pressures and in about 6 minutes with my electric pump.

The reason I bought it---ACCURACY.

Three problems I was aware of. One, the trigger is terrible. About twice as bad as the M1 Garand . Two, cocking is extremely difficult. They need a side lever type for this heavy a pull. Three, the comb is way too low. I bought a comb raising device to solve that one. Benjamin needs to pay more attention to these details but,, as I said, I knew this going in and the accuracy is far above the average air gun especially in this price range.

My gen 2 wood stock .22 is a beast I have no issues no leaks easy to cock with magazines I mounted a Simmons pro target and had to adjust it one click up one click right and it was on at 30 yards have never had that happen before lol but for the money I couldnt ask for more and the customer service was great if you have issues using online returns jst call them they will hook you up

Build quality, accuracy, and this thing is whisper quiet. I wanted an accurate PCP rifle with iron sights, it did not disappoint!!

The screws for the trigger adjustments. The screws mine came with had heads on them that bottomed out against the trigger before they could touch what they are suppose to. They need to be either longer or headless allen type.

The gun is quite light and the stock is on the slender side. It is not very pellet picky at all.

Light enough for my big 8 year old to handle, light trigger, accurate for my needs (rabbit & squirrel hunting, plinking).

Bolt is sticky frequently when loading pellets. Sometimes when i first got it, this would result in loading 2 pellets in the chamber when I was using the magazine, as I would pull the bolt back to try to push it in again, the magazine would automatically spin to a new pellet, and then I would push the bolt in. I just learned to push harder on the first pellet, though my kids still struggle a bit with this. Would be nice to sling studs, but I was able to add these on my own.

This is my first PCP and air rifle as an adult, so I can't compare.

Very accurate, and, so far, is not picky about ammo. Light, with good handling characteristics. Fit and finish is very nice, even at the price point.

It needs a longer dovetail for more eye relief adjustability. Rear sight is high enough to be in the field of view off the scope unless a high mount is used, or the rear sight is removed.

After owning it for one week, it will not take a charge. Contacting Pyramyd Air tomorrow for advice.

Good clean looking well finished rifle. Super good value and performance. Amazingly low sound level for the power delivered. Blows .22 Crossman 14.3 gr pellets clean through 3/4 pine boards. The sound of the impact is more than the report from the rifle. Nice and light, easy to handle.

This is an excellent product. The wood stock is well done. It has held air for over 6 months. My Hatsan Flash which I purchased at the same time has more power but leaks badly.

Nothing considering the overall value as compared to other products in this price range.
