I like the plastic, brown burlwood grips. The brushed silver medallions with the Duke's image and name are well done. I like the weathered finish and John Wayne's signature on the backstrap. Beautiful display piece!
Things I would have changed:I wouldn't put the Duke's name on the barrel.
What others should know:It's a beautiful pistol. High quality like the first blued and nickel versions of the Umarex BB Peacemaker. I own those and the engraved nickel version too. All are very accurate for backyard fun.

The look of this air gun is incredible. The weight and realistic loading made this a very fun air gun to shoot.
Things I would have changed:I purchased this item in March of this year, and have only fired through a total of 5 CO2 cartridges. Over Thanksgiving, this gun failed completely, and the action is completely locked up. For an air gun of this price range, this should not have occurred this early on, especially since it had been handled with care since it was purchased. Extremely disappointed with this product now and would not purchase again.
What others should know:I would recommend using this product heavily during the product return period, in the event you have a defective item as I did.

The airgun shipped and arrived very quickly, as usual from Pyramyd. Very solid feel, looks well made, has some heft to it, and is very smooth mechanically. Very much like a single action Colt, but a little lighter. The John Wayne inserts in the grip panels are metal, and look great, and the weathered finish looks good.
Things I would have changed:For this price, and for an air pistol, probably wouldn't change anything.
What others should know:Don't carry it around in public, very realistic. Couldn't review accuracy or function now, as I live in the city and haven't fired it yet. I would definitely recommend this pistol. Will be a great gun to practice my quick draw.

Almost everything. Feels wright, shoot wright and easy to handle. More precise than most review with standard steel BB. I shoot often as law enforcement and when handle correctly, I saw similar result as a regular gun at 20m. Will test on sandbag nest summer tough.
Things I would have changed:Would like the hammer to close more tight with less gap. Handle is fine, Specially the matte finish wood, but could be thicker, and some kind of laminated wood or resin would be really awesome. Or maybe Extra handles as an accessories, so would keep price value while offering options.
What others should know:You're still reading! Hurry go buy one, you're missing all the fun. Bought mine in special, couldn't get a better deal. And don't think you'd get better accuracy on the dual ammo kit since it's still smooth bore barrel. Would wait to get a second pellet ribbed barrel.

Its a great shooter it brings back so many memories when I was a kid playing cowboy I hope they bring out a side by side shotgun a 73 Winchester would be nice too

Everything. It is really a pleasure, you can even do the fanning. I bought this BB version because I was a little disappointed with the accuracy and precision of the pellet version. See my review on the pellet one. For a BB gun, this one shoots some pellets as well as the pellet gun.
Things I would have changed:Nothing so far.
What others should know:The first one was returned because of a loose barrel (some movement, when the barrel is touched). I used the Super Bright white, touch-up sight pen from Birchwood Casey on the front sight. I also painted the rear sight wall in green of the same paint in order to make it easy to aim.
The H&N Match Green (5.25 gr) had the best group at 24 feet (1.25-inch) on 12 shots without any flyer. The black Diamond BB (5.10gr) and the Finale Match Light (7.87gr) had the same result (1.75-inch) on 11 shots with one flyer. All shots were on a rested grip position.

If your like me and in love with the old west, this gun is for you. Stunning replica of days gone by. Right out of the box this gun feels great in your hand. Well made and the John Wayne logo adds to the collectability.

I was surprised at the quality of the gun. It is as heavy as the original, everyone I show it to thinks it is real. The quality of the fit and finish is excellent. I am looking to purchase another similar model

I like the looks of the revolver and the feel of it and especially the trigger pull it is a excellent.
Things I would have changed:The front site could be a little taller and that is all I would consider changing. At my age my eyes are not like they were when I was a lot younger, laugh out loud and that is more of a problem than the front site a little longer.

I grew up with westerns and cowboys and six guns and now that I'm old I can still out draw Marshall Dillon and Paladin with this great Colt replica and even target practice at home. This gun looks good and shoots good and loads just like the real thing. Glad I bought this one. Thanks Pyramid Air.
