    Things I liked:

    Accuracy, scope mounting rail

    Things I would have changed:

too heavy, scope which comes with the rifle is barely adequate, sling is pretty cheap. bipod is not to useful. The gun is very very long and you'll have a tough time finding a soft gun case for it.

    What others should know:

The gun is accurate and powerful in 25 caliber. It is a true 750 FPS gun (vortex version) with both Predator Polymag and JSB exact king. Either pellet holds groups fine. I can hit the target up to 50 yards but not without 2 mil dot hold over. I expect it's best 40 yards and down without hold over. It's about 31 ft lbs at the muzzle with down range power @ 40 yards around 24 ft lbs. So i put this gun as a hunter for rabbit and maybe bigger game (placement is everything).

    Things I liked:

The Hatsan 125 Sniper Vortex air rifle: My Hatsan 125 Sniper Vortex air rifle is a great shooter it shoots Quarter size groups at 50 yards and Dime size groups at 35 yards. What more could you want from a air gun at this price range. It may do even better but that is my shooting level. I also have upgraded the scope to a Centerpoint 4-16x40 AO Adventure class this has really helped my shooting.

    Things I would have changed:

I really like my Hatsan there is one thing I would change it may just be the one I have but the safety does not always set all the way and it does not always come off when I pull it off to shoot. It also wiggles left to right quite a bit. Feels loose but like I said it may be it is just mine that feels like this.

    What others should know:

First I want to Thank Pyramyd Air for their customer service. Pyramyd had shipped me the Hatsan125 sniper in camo but I never received it Fed X said they delivered but I received no gun. Pyramyd took care of business for me it was one week be for Christmas. I had no present Pyramyd without payment from Fed X shipped another gun out they were out of 125 sniper in camo so they sent the 125 sniper Vortex a free upgrade and free three day shipping. Pyramyd Air is just AWESOME !!!

    Things I liked:

Much easier to cock than the Spring version. This gun was very easy to shoot from the shoulder using the open sights. Good trigger. Quieter than the Spring Version. Very good power to cocking effort ratio.

    Things I would have changed:

    Better scope and rings.

    What others should know:

This .22 Cal gun topped out 27.54 foot pounds of muzzle energy Vs 30.28 ft lbs with the spring version. I tried 6 different pellets while target shooting at 20 yards. 1 pellet did okay and the other 5 were all bulls eyes. The best pellet was the H&N Baracuda Match 21.14 grain with a .35 inch pattern at 20 yards. This is what an Airgun Should Be!! Accurate with any pellet. Leaving both guns outside for 2 hours at 10°F the spring Version still had more muzzle energy than this Vortex Powered gun. Still, this is the best all around pellet rifle I have ever shot of over 30 rifles so far.

    Things I liked:

Good solid feel. Pretty much on target for fixed sights out of the box. No visual defects that I noticed. Looks like a really scary firearm.

    Things I would have changed:

Box with a better scope and more durable bipod. Make the break end of the barrel a little longer? A little more leverage for cocking would be nice.

    What others should know:

Bipod is very weak.I did not attach the scope since many reviewers reported scope float and I need faster acquisition. This gun takes pretty hefty effort to cock. Follow the directions and grasp at the very end of the suppressor to cock.

    Things I liked:

The Hatsan 125 Sniper with Vortex Piston, is a beast of a gun. As soon as it arrived I put a 4x32 Leapers UTG True strength scope(39.99), I did not bother with the scope that came with it. Zeroed in about 10 minutes and I was shooting bottle caps off of bottles at 75 ft with ease. Have not tried further distance yet. I owned a benjamin trail NP.22 and it lacked in the accuracy department, BIG time. I believe they can be accurate, but takes a lot of adjustments.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock on the Benjamin Trial definitely felt of higher quality, but the Hatsan is just way more accurate. I'd rather have an accurate gun. Maybe in the future hatsan can use a higher quality composite material, but don't get me wrong. When holding the rifle, it does feel like a well designed gun.

    What others should know:

Many complain about the cocking effort. I don't know how they are cocking their gun, but I can cock this gun easily by putting the butt of the gun right of above the knee and pulling the barrel down. Not hard at all.

    Things I liked:

Solid, well made, Accurate for a median price. I also have the Hatsan 125 synthetic, but I like the sniper better. The sniper is about $100 more but is worth it because the stock and grip position are more comfortable. This gun cocks and kicks hard. Not trying to scare anyone, but it is a magnum class rifle. The gun has a suppressor so it is fairly quiet. Could be back yard friend with good neighbors. I shoot right next to the house, and with the windows closed my wife can rarely hear the shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Additional thread screw holes on the rail for better scope position. They provide a small plate to stop scope creep. I did not like where the scope position ended up so I found some metal in my shop and used that to help re-position the scope for better eye relief, using the holes they provided. The stock is good , but I do not like the set up where you can add spacers to increase the stock length. They only give you two extra spacers, and it is only about 3/8" to 1/2" and then the screws they provide were not long enough.

    What others should know:

The scope is not great and I plan on replacing. They are cheap what can I say. It did hold zero, but does not have an adjustable objective (AO).That is the ability to bring your view into focus at different distances. If you are going to shoot at the same distance all of the time, it is not as much of a problem. I change distances and this means the scope is only clear at one preset point. You can adjust the scope by unscrewing the front lens and moving in and out. Be care not to unscrew all the way or you will release the nitrogen inside which keeps the scope from fogging up. If you decide to do this a good trick is to remove the front ring making sure that the lens stays with the unit. Put a "o" ring on the threads so you can easily spin the lens in and out for adjustment. This can be left on and the cap you removed can be screwed back on and tightened up against the "o" ring. This is a bit clumsy but will get the field of view clear.

It's a born killer I love this gun and it is a gun. It has good balance and you can pickup the sights fast. I don't use a scope. and I am able to take pine squirrels at 25 yards. I have it in .177 for the speed as the pines can jump the slower cal's

    Things I would have changed:

A better sling would be nice other then that nothing.

    What others should know:

You are getting a great gun at the price the scope is free.

    Things I liked:

I have the Hatsan 125 sniper in 22 cal. This gun is one of the most powerful guns that you can buy. I read many reviews and finally bought this rifle. Hard hitting, supersonic with some pellets. This gun actually performs better than than the rating the company gives it. Maybe just my gun? JSB's and Falcons seem to be the best in this rifle. From what I have seen you have to try different pellets to see what works in your gun. I have 30 different tins and try them all. And you can have the same gun and yours may like a different pellet than mine. There is some recoil, but I have shot regular rifles for years, so what others call a lot of recoil is kind of a joke in comparison. But, to be fair, yes this gun has quite a bit of kick for a air gun. This gun is not recommended for newbies, it does cock hard and you need to have a good grip and a stable platform when cocking. The noise level is around medium/high. That does not matter for me because I have a wide out space and neighbors do not come into play. The gun is as accurate as you are. I have shot it both with the iron sites and now it has a scope. The results were excellent. The rifle can be shot at distances greater than 50 yard but you will need to use a mil-dot or be good at estimating your shots. There is about a 10" to 12"drop at 100 yards. The value of this gun is outstanding, for $300 I am shooting great groups and have a lot of power.

    Things I would have changed:

I almost hate to say this because everyone says this, just sell the gun!!!!!!!!!! Why do companies continue to only offer packages for some guns. I know in their minds they are doing the right thing, but don't they listen to the customers at all! Why not let companies like PA come up with the packages? Also air gun in general are a bit long, why not fatten up the spring and shorten the gun by 4 to 5 inches. This surely would increase a persons accuracy when shooting off hand.

    What others should know:

In regards to pellets, I have the Hatsan in 22 cal. and in 25 cal. The 22 only likes JBS's and Falcons and the 25 cal. is much more flexible with pellet consumption, H&N's, JSB's, Benni'S, and Beeman's. If you want to know whats best for your gun you are going to have to invest in some tin's. And it does make a difference in your accuracy!

    Things I liked:

Big Rifle, looks mean ,my rifle is in .25 Vortex you can feel the power at 50 yrds you will have no problem dropping small game, The adjustable cheek piece is nice if you need it, open fiber optic sights are also nice took me about 4 shots at 30 yrds to zero it in, and a nice smooth trigger. pellets seat really well in the breach . great gun for the price this is a keeper. Good job Pyramid Air on shipping two day delivery cant beat that .

    Things I would have changed:

As almost everybody ells has said about this package lose the cheap scope and bipod and maybe put the money into a better scope so far Iv only put around 30 pellets through this rifle so im still not sure about the auto safety as im used to a manual but im guessing this will grow on me .

    What others should know:

This gun is HEAVY I put a leapers Accushot 3-12X44 scope on it which made it even heavier but I like the weight, This is not a gun for kids this is a magnum size rifle and it takes some power to cock it but having said that after break in it might get a little easier to cock it. Go with the Vortex piston I understand there is some power lose with the Nitro piston. If you want a serious air rifle you might want to check the Hatsan 125 sniper out .

    Things I liked:

This is a Very Big rifle. & heavy. But I think that's the norm for break barrel's. Trigger is good everything seems to be good quality. I received very fast shipping and it was all properly packed.

    Things I would have changed:

Hatsan needs to junk the bi-pod. You will need a better scope too, the one in the package is ok..just not anything special. If you go into the feild you'll like the sling. Other than that the rifle is great for a break barrel. Lots of punch-the Vortex air seems to be very powerful. I'm a archer and I have a broad-head target made of really dense foam and at 25yards I was punching through that.

    What others should know:

Afarid of the Vortex? Don't be. It's designed by Hatsan for the rifle and it's suppose to be rebuildable, and that's a + over a nitro piston. The Nitro Piston version.. it's a crossman NP installed by Pyrmid air, designed for crossman products and they told ME that preformance wouldn't be as good with the NP. Besides, coming from the FACTORY with a Vortex power plant... it's cheaper. Like all break barrel's you have to break it in and learn to hold it properly. Mine is getting better every day and better with every shot. I'm by far no expert or have any great expierence, but for a break barrel rifle this is a beast. My next purchase will be a PCP most likely a Airforce rifle. For now I'll be break barrel shooting.

    Things I liked:

Great design. Such a great looking air rifle. Plenty of power. Love the adjustable trigger and adjustable cheek rest. This is a large heavy air rifle, not recommended for smaller shooters. I am 6'1" and its the perfect size for me.

    Things I would have changed:

Everything on the rifle is well made. With exception of the safety. It wiggles when the rifle is not cocked. It feels cheap. When the rifle is cocked it is not a positive disengagement. You cant really tell if its on or off. Sometimes I try to pull the trigger and the safety is still on, but if you pull the safety off and then on then back off it functions normally. I dont know if this is normal or just how my rifle is.

    What others should know:

Good for the price but I wish the safety was made better. Then it would be perfect.

    Things I would have changed:

quit giving the scope and bipod with the package and either drop the price and not package a scope, or charge a little more and package a better scope. also would like to see them use 1" sling mounts so that any sling can be used. also make the open sights a little more accurate. there is too much play in the sights and they are to big.

    What others should know:

this is a high quality gun, and very accurate. I know my things I would change paragraph is very lengthy but that is absolutely everything I would change. this gun is awesome. you should know it is very long and heavy aspecially with a large scope. also there is a little slop in the trigger when it is not cocked, also a little slop in the safety, when it is cocked they are both nice and functional.

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

The looks and the power. The gun looks pretty menacing, and is huge. Bigger than I expected. It's very powerful! I was sighting in on a short piece of 2x10, and about 1 of every 5 shots would pass through it. Pretty amazing for any small-bore pellet rifle! I'm 6'3", in the 260lb range, so I can comfortably cock this gun for much of the day, but if you are slighter build than me, it will be quite a feat to break that barrel over without tiring out quickly. For the power, it's also VERY quiet. Overall, an excellent close-range small game hunter!

    Things I would have changed:

Ok....Let me preface by stating that I have been a precision archer and marksman for most of my 39 years, and typically either buy (or custom build) only the best. This may play a part in my heightened expectations of this air rifle, so if I sound too harsh, I dont really mean to be, but this is MY experience with THIS rifle, and may vary from yours. I bought this rifle just as an inexpensive plinker, so that I dont have to always break out my centerfire or even rimfire rifles to keep up my trigger time. Trigger adjustment - I just could not get a crisp "glass-break" type trigger pull out of the gun. I understand the need for safety, expecially on a gun this powerful, there is a lot of lateral slop in the trigger, and even at the Quattro trigger's lightest setting, my trigger finger would actually start to ache while squeezing off the shot. (Yes, I adjusted it properly.) For the price, I'm not expecting a match grade trigger by any means, but its a pretty darn tough trigger pull. Safety mechanism - The safety is plastic, and like the trigger, has a lot of side-to-side slop in it. Also, once the gun is cocked, I have to repeatedly toggle the safety back and forth before it will fully release to fire. Now, nothing I've stated so far in the "Things I would change" section would be grounds for me to return the rifle. It's $299....not an Olympic contender! However, this last part under the "Anything else....." section IS the reason I am going to ask to return this rifle.

    What others should know:

As a precision shooter, I've always been wary of the concept of a break-barrel air rifle, i.e, the muzzle not being fixed in relation to the rifle's scope, but I read and researched enough to give me confidence to buy this air rifle. Here is what is happening. I noticed that approx 4 to 5 out of 10 shots, when I set the gun upright to cock it again, there is a "thud" felt in the gun somewhere. I kept checking the scope and tapping the gun to see what was loose, and I determined it must just be the Vortex piston reseating. But then, I noticed after a shot that the breach was not fully sealed, and then closed itself back when I set the gun upright. That was the "thud" I was feeling in the gun! It's like the power of the gun is actually blowing the breach open a bit, tilting the end of the barrel downward. This is my first break-barrel air rifle, but I dont think it's normal behavior. I would be ok with it if I knew it would not effect consistency, but it almost has to be. I thought perhaps the pellet might be gone before it could be affected, but my groups spread vertically. Ive read other reviews, and Pyramid seems to have treated others well. I'm not sure what else is available in the same price range with same power level, that is not a break barrel, so I have some research to do...again. ;-)

    What others should know:

Comparing FPS with the Benjamin Nitro Trail in .22 this gun gives 200 to 300 more FPS, depending on Pellet according to my chronograph. As a result the Hatsan is more difficult to cock. Best FPS I have recorded is 950 with standard weight pellets. To get to the advertised 1000FPS you have to use lighter pellets.

    Things I liked:

My previous rifle was a Gamo CFX springer in .22. I purchased the .22 version of this rifle. It has great power, quiet, nice trigger and seems to be a good quality build.

    Things I would have changed:

I would not include a scope or bipod because it is a shame to include junk with such a good rifle. I would make it lighter and add some small rails on the side to add a side mount bipod. I will add the rails myself, but a quality rifle should come with them installed. I would also add quick release push button sling mounts like most newer assault rifles have on both sides and rear of the stock.

    What others should know:

You should know up front it is very hard to cock, I was using two hands in the beginning and now I only use one. It is very heavy. Also if you shoot any of the Gamo gold pellet, this thing will be as loud as a real .22 long rifle. Keep them heavy and quiet

    Things I would have changed:

The sling is plenty strong but it would look better and more versatile if it had conventional sling loops. The scope mounts are the only real problem with this rifle, they don't hold and are not centered.I put weaver high strap type mounts on with the original scope, 600+ shots later still right on.

    Things I liked:

Thanks to BirdUp for a spot on review! I would agree with everything he said except for the quality of the sling clips. Maybe Hatsan has changed them since BirdUp got his rifle, but they seem decent enough to me. I switched the scope out for a Leapers UTG 4-16x50 AO Rifle Scope and use JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy .22 Cal, 18.13 grn. pellets and it is a great combination. Every once in a while I’ll have a pellet stray off target but for the most part I can consistently group 5 at 30 yards within the size of a quarter.

    Things I would have changed:

This rifle needs to go on a diet! After mounting a decent scope, it weighs in at almost 10lbs. The bipod needs a serious upgrade! Most of the time it won’t even hold gun upright! I don't use it.

    What others should know:

I really like the way Vortex gas systems works compared to spring systems. It is powerful, feels solid and smoother shooting.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

This is about as powerful a piston powered air rifle gets. I bought this intending to use it mostly as a bench rest gun. It's powerful, heavy, and accurate; all good qualities when shooting from a sandbag rest. It kicks hard, but a good rest plus the excellent rubber butt pad help a lot. It's reasonably quiet. Airgunweb did a review of a Hatsan 125 sniper, but with spring piston. Their decibel test put it at 98 db (much quieter than some rifles with *cough* whisper in their names).

    Things I would have changed:

The bipod is for display purposes only. I never gave the included scope a chance (loving the BSA Stealth Tactical 3-9x40 AO Rifle Scope). The included scope rings are poor. I want to like the sling, it is leather and is very nice... but has poor clips on it. I wouldn't trust those clips to carry this rifle. Hatsan could have hit a home run with sling, but screwed up the clips. (The sling mounts on the rifle itself are awesome though). Four stars out of five because ALL the included extras are ultimately garbage. (Five stars easy for rifle alone).

    What others should know:

This gun is hard to cock. I knew that going in. I did manage to cock it one handed once, but have since switched to a more secure two handed cocking method. I'm a small guy at 150 lbs, but cocking effort for me is fine (with two hands). The more I shoot it, the easier cocking gets; just spray a little ballistol on the cocking joints as part of maintenance. My gun is in .22 cal and loves JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy pellets (the 18 grain ones). It doesn't like Crosman premiers.
