I freaking love this version of the Flashpup! I have it in 22 and removed the shroud to add shorten it and add a moderator. Getting around 24 good shots with the 18.3 grain JSB and it is dead accurate. Total length with moderator is 32 inches and 24 inches without it and shroud. Gonna see how polymags and the hades perform next.
Things I would have changed:The bolt. It started off pretty gritty but I noticed metal shavings inside the action and got those out of there. After that and about 100 more shots the bolt action is smooth now.
What others should know:You will need to shim the back part of the railing to get basic scope mounts enough elevation to shoot high.

First off; doing business with Pyramyd Air is a delightful experience. They are a first rate organization!
Things I would have changed:I sent the gun back for a refund. I never shot it or put air into it. When I opened the box and saw and handled the gun I was surprised and disappointed to find a hollow molded piece of flawed plastic. Everything on the gun wreaked of cheap. Trigger and mechanisms are plastic. It honestly felt like a toy.
What others should know:Everything.

Pyramyd Air was relatively fast, accurate and the prices were competitive if not better than the competition.
Things I would have changed:No thing.
What others should know:Not a fault of Pyramyd. Shipping to Hawaii is long because of the US Postal service.

Feels good in your hands. Very accurate and quick target alignment. Smoothly loads next round with side lever.
Things I would have changed:Larger capacity magazine. Would love to see in 30 or 35 caliber

This is a beast in 22 cal. Love the recoil, but still quite. So far the accuracy with slugs and pellets are spot on and the fit and finish is buttery smooth but the cocking lever seems to me to be too far back I am big guy and I have to come off my shoulder to cockpit it. It is a hard hitting beast. Bought it to hunt with.
Things I would have changed:I wanted it in 177 cal but Hatsan nor Pyramidair carries it in the U.S market. But they sell the wood stock in 177. How ridiculous is that!
What others should know:Why does Pyramidair knowingly ship defective products and pay for return shipping, but I can pay 10 dollars for them to not ship me a defective product. Defective meaning leaking . Return shipping is expensive for them and a pain in the A$$ for the customer. What's up with that?

Although I haven't yet shot more than one brand / type of pellet, my new hatsan flashpup .22 is very good for my pest control duty. The QE moderator makes this a neighborhood / farm friendly rifle, and the short length and light weight helps to make a steady shooting platform for me. I normally use a low woven nylon seat with aluminum tube frame to shoot from, and with my back against a tree or building, and my knees up in front of me, I can easily hold a rock steady three point supported scope view. The trigger on this rifle is very nice, predictable, and crisp in my opinion, and will serve me well in the upcoming winter season for sniping invasive pest birds, as well as if I want to take a few bushytails for dinner. For the price, I feel it is a very good rifle for anyone who wants a compact accurate and quiet pcp to use for hunting and pest control.
Things I would have changed:Adding more air capacity (volume) to the cylinder to enable at least say 50 shots per fill would give the oportunity to use this bullpup for field target competition.
What others should know:I am happy so far with simply shooting common crosman premier ultra magnum .22 caliber domed pellets for pest control. They seem accurate enough so far, but I intend to experiment with several types and brands to find the most accurate pellets for this barrel. I recommend doing this with which ever rifle you choose.

great value for the money. sturdy as ____. light without a scope. very quiet shooting. big tank will let you run 40-50 pellets easily before running down. my gun needed a little work by a gunsmith to get the seal and fit within spec, but now it is more powerful than spec and the tank lasts longer - as good as you can get without spending $$ on a regulator-level rifle. I've had the rifle 2 years and very happy. with my good quality Chinese scope and some dialing in this rifle is super accurate from 15 yds to 75 yds. excellent barrel.
Things I would have changed:Wish the factory QC was better, but I am very satisfied for the price. even with the gunsmith cost I have much better quality, power, and accuracy than rifle at double the $$.
What others should know:spend some time testing the rifle - or pay Pyramid extra to do so before shipping. you'll still be getting a great value air rifle

This gun is extremely accurate. At 25 yards groups of 5 can be covered with a dime. 25 gr JSB Monsters stack on top of each other. In addition to accuracy, this gun is extremely powerful for an air rifle. At 15 yard it shot through a 1 inch pine board. The trigger is great and so is the side lever.
Things I would have changed:I would like to see a better shroud with baffles. The gun is a little loud.

Cheap PCP, good for plinking, ok for pest control.
Things I would have changed:Rifle needed to be worked on right out of the box, had several o-rings which needed to be reseated. Seems to shoot a bit low on average. Multirail seems like a good idea at first but stinks in practice. Surprisingly Heavy for a composite could do with less material to lighten it up. Hammer is very heavy and extremely loud when compared to an FX.
What others should know:Requires and adaptor from DonnyFL.

I like the gun, it performs really well and hits accurately.
Things I would have changed:The stock does feel a bit cheap, if you want more quality, get the woodstock. Otherwise the base gun is a decent shooter and has yet to jam or disappoint
What others should know:The packaging looked pretty rough and my single shot tray was missing. I contacted pyramid air and they couldnt get me another one but they did send a new magazine which Is super nice of them, good customer service!

Nothing it won't hold air after the first 30 shots.
Things I would have changed:Fix the apparently pervasive issue with leaks that Hatsan's own service department cannot even resolve.
What others should know:I caution you not to put any trust in the reviews you see online about this model. I ignored a few reviews regarding air leaks, Hatsan customer service, and the same issue persisting even after Hatsan warranty repair. Well the same thing is happening to me. The gun started leaking on the second fill using Hatsan very own hand pump. Was able to RMA it relatively easily even though Hatasan will not speak to you via telephone. No communication during the RMA process until I received the shipping notification from the carrier. Upon inspection the rifle was reassembled differently from the original condition. The fill port is now on the opposite side of the rifle. They did not return the fill port cap. More wasted time and you have to fill out their online form again. Date of purchase anyone? The worst part is that it is still leaking. Not in a couple of minutes like last time but down below 100 bar in less then 24 hours. Filled out their online form again requesting a replacement. Lets see

First Hatsan, first bullpup. Ordered this to do pest control at less than 20yds. Set it up with a cheap red dot. Used crosman premier 14.3 .22. At 20yds it was shooting really good groups straight out of the box. Ran just 60 pellets to get it sighted in, can't wait to use with better pellets. Power? Yep its got it! Shot through 3/4 plywood and some passed through a second piece that was about 4" behind it. The pellets that didn't go through stopped close to going through. Shot count is right where they claim. So its exactly what I needed, light weight, short, powerful and accurate. Plus the trigger is really nice too! Great little rifle for sub $400.
Things I would have changed:Nothing at the moment.
What others should know:It is exactly what they claim it to be.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive the new Side Lever model even when the photo on Pyramyd Air website showed the older Bolt Action variant when I placed my purchase. The overall feel, size and weight of the HATSAN FlashPup .22 is great! Accuracy on 10 yds and 25 yds is outstanding. I zeroed the FlashPup with a Vector Optics Veyron 3-12x44mm at 10 yds and the attached photo presents the 35-shot string using JSB Hades 15.89gr pellets. The chart shows the FPS, FPE, and the starting and ending pressure readings after each 5-shot group. I also made the same shot string with the GAMO Urban .22 to compare the performance oo the two PCP's.
Things I would have changed:There are some rough machining works especially in the breech area. The finish on the side lever could be improved. The magazine could be designed much better --- I prefer the BSA/GAMO Urban 10-shot magazine.
What others should know:I used the AIr Venturi G9 pump and I would say that the HATAN FlashPup is hand pump friendly. It was not exhausting to get to the 200 bar maximum fill.

What others should know:If you're looking for an inexpensive air rifle this is the one

Quality gun. Love the side lever, super smooth, easy to find and pull and loads pellet as smooth as it gets. Very powerful, pretty quiet. A silencer totally quiets it down, but adds 6". This is the most accurate gun I have.
Things I would have changed:Could be lighter, and less bulky, but that is a bullpup.
What others should know:With the hammer adjustment, I went from 23 to 31 fpe, and then settled to 24 fpe which is a nice balance of power and quietness.
