looks great, shoots great and has a nice feel to it..
Things I would have changed:nothing.. I am not a fan of John Wayne one way or another so I could do without the John Wayne stuff etched on the gun but I just got it to plink so no big deal.
What others should know:do not be put off by the flexible lever. this is a good thing as flexibility is more sturdy, less likely to break.it may feel cheap but its actually a good thing. about as accurate as my red ryder. I been shooting air guns for over 40 years and while the quality may not always be the same as the guns I shot in the 70's and 80's as a kid, this is still decent.

-Overall feel of the gun is about perfect for a plinker (I'm 6ft 220 pounds with shorter arms and thick fingers) -Front forearm is about the perfect size for my large hands -Aesthetically pleasing
Things I would have changed:Needs a metal cocking lever or a harder plastic type, as the lever on in flexes a ton.
What others should know:I bought the Lil Duke when it first came out a couple of weeks ago. I was pretty stoked about the wide loop lever etc. .
I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this gun.
-Lever is plastic and flexy (not a hard plastic like the Daisy plastic levers)
-ratchet cocking mechanism is finicky it doesn't like to cock the last notch needed to fire
-the stock should have never made it past quality control. It has an ugly seem of wide grain (possible crack) near the bottom. Not a terrible thing as I intended to use it for plinking, but I'm sure most who buy this gun want it for display.
-The WORST thing is I cannot get it to feed and shoot. It will shoot 1 shot and the take me between 20-30 cocks and fires before it manages to chamber another bb.
-It is riveted together so you can't easily take it apart.

Looks good on mt Daisy wall rack. Real wood is kind of expensive these days. Hoop handle is a hoot. Mostly wood and metal.
Things I would have changed:Make it shoot as well as a less expensive Red Rider
What others should know:I cant understand why this thing will not shoot straight ?
I've tried everything you can do to a 9.5 inch barrel.

I love the gun wish I would have put the scope on it. For me the shipping to Canada is very costly or I would buy more product.
Things I would have changed:Nothing make sure you add the scope
What others should know:Maybe include the scope and a lower price

It's a nice entry level BB Gun, and does conjure up movies of 'The Duke'. Wood is nice, with laser (?) engraving. I appreciate the addition facility for attaching a telescopic sight. I purchased it to be used at the local rod & gun club, when we get our pneumatics ranges up and running this spring. I fully expect it to be a hit with our younger members.
Things I would have changed:Make the large loop lever more round, and smoother inside.
What others should know:You will NOT be able to spin cock this gun, which is probably a good thing safety-wise and gun maintenance-wise.
Li'l pardners should be aware that if they spin the gun, after it is cocked, a la John Wayne, there are a couple of safety issues, e.g., a loaded barrel pointed in most every direction EXCEPT up and down range during most of the rotation, a loaded barrel pointing toward their own underarm ditto, and the possibility of pinching fingers when the lever closes during the rotation.

Solidly built. Fun to shoot.
Things I would have changed:Lose the plastic cocking lever. Can feel it flexing/bending . Needs to be metal.
What others should know:Built by Air Venturi. Similar to a Daisy Red Ryder. Comparing the two the Duke seems to a stouter gun with the exception of the crummy cocking lever and a very stiff trigger.

Fun and cheap. Looks great. Original design (looks wise) even if it is similar to others. In my opinion it is the best looking of the bunch. Accurate as can be expected. So much that I just might scope this one. There are improvements out there to read about for identical design guns if you research.
Things I would have changed:Just a little bit longer stock & barrel. Although not something I would even think of changing, the wonderful looking under-lever is difficult to operate but it's good looks justify any drawback.
What others should know:For fun I've now collected the Red Rider, The Sheridan Cowboy, Model 25, 1998, and 104. All fun and surprisingly accurate.
Now the Duke is every bit as fun and accurate at punching paper fairly well and hitting cans out to 10 maybe 15 yards consistently. Occasional flier expected but can be minimized.
Laugh if you like but I do clean and polish the barrel along with a barrel crown when I receive these guns.
They seem to come well lubed but a little silicon oil never hurts.
My reason for doing this apparently futile work on these type of guns is simple.
If the Daisy Match Grade Avanti Champion 499 at $140.00 can be accurate with a 1"= shorter barrel @240 fps why cant these?
