Things I liked:

Good power. Large air tank. Compact size. Nice stock. Quiet enough.

Things I would have changed:

Needs open sights to be a design feature. There is a design flaw----- I ordered 3 of these; 2 were refurb's. One was new. There is a variable power wheel on the belly of the gun. It gets jammed in the high power position. This happened 3 times, on all 3 guns, within one month. Gun will be returned. Pity........I really like this Seneca Eagle Claw .25 cal.

What others should know:

Avoid this model.

    Things I liked:

I haven't tested my new rifle for accuracy yet, Too much snow in my yard. But the rifle, I'm a 70 year old airgun lover who recalls the rifles of my youth. A wood stock and blued barrels. All these new rifles made of plastic, although very good guns, don't do much for me. I have 4 Seneca rifles. I have a Dragon Claw gen 2, a dual tank Recluse, power tuned by Will Piatt (RIP Will). A pristine single tank Recluse CAP tuned. now this Eagle Claw. I also own a FX Crown, power tuned by Utah Airguns. I thought my other Seneca rifles looked good but this Eagle Claw is off the charts. Heirloom quality. Beautiful wood stock and deeply blued air tank. I ordered the 10 for $10 test. I don't know any reason why anybody wouldn't go for this option. The first thing I did after reading the owners manual was check the results of the test. The ad said it gets 70 FPE. Yeah right. But the second shot tested went 1000 fps and 75 fpe! The 10th shot was 69. And that's using a 34 grain pellet.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much, it's a little heavy for these 70 year old arms, and make it easier to cock. This new one is easier but I still can't fan the lever like Chuck Connors, aka, the Rifleman. Ask your dad. I bought one of these Eagle Claws 3 years ago but I couldn't cock it, Pyramyd gladly accepted my return. The air tank was blued, but not the barrel. Why not? What sold me to buy this gun again was the reviews, and watching Tyler playing his like an air guitar. The mags are a little funny, unlike any mag I've seen, but they'll do just fine. The mags on a Hatsan Neutron Star and an Avenger are alike but they load opposite.

    What others should know:

I'll wait until I get my targets set up when the snow melts to get an accuracy rating. But from what I've seen on the reviews I don't think I'll be doing any complaining.

    Things I liked:

Really well made gun, chambering the next round on the lever action is smooth as butter and it packs one heck of a punch. Accurate to a dime and I love that I can practically make a follow up shot without taking my eye off the scope.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish it came with a single shot tray and had a shot count on the magazine (quick fix wish a sharpie though)

    What others should know:

Either count your shots well or sharpie numbers on the mags, really easy to waste air on an empty barrel

    Things I liked:

This thing is freakin awsome. I've got a Gamo pellet gun and I thought it was a good gun but it's nothing like this thing. It is dead on every time. Cranked half way up it'll put a pellet through a half inch plywood. I've got a night vision scope on it and have been hunting fox with it. I just love this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

Other then being very heavy I don't know of anything else I'd change.

    Things I liked:

I bought the 25 cal. Carbine Edition: Gorgeous gun! I found a couple of very minor nicks here and there on the finish, but I'm sure I'm going to add a LOT of wear and tear on this gun, so this isn't an issue to me. The number one thing I like is the smooth and solid lever action--come on, this should be a popular loading feature on a lot more guns out there, it is so freaking cool, you will almost certainly burn through a few magazines before you even begin to start sighting this thing in. The quick disconnect built into the gun makes filling and refilling SUPER EASY, I wish everyone made guns this way. The variable power is really nice for those times you just want to unload rapidly on a close target. In these instances, it's great to be able to drop the power, allowing you to increase the number of shots per charge.

    Things I would have changed:

This gun's overall design and function is BEGGING for peep sights. It's a shame you have to mount peep sights closely together on the one built-in rail. I would like to see an option to buy a true Eagle Claw peep sight set. I bought a set of pop-up peeps, and they're pretty useful, but it would sure be nice to have the front sight far down the barrel for added accuracy. I'm submitting a pic with the peeps on the rail.

    What others should know:

I fill the gun with a hand pump--which is a GOOD workout. If you use a hand pump, be sure you RAPIDLY bleed the pump. This gun likes to leak a lot of your hard work if you even remotely screw around with the bleed valve--No Kidding, Open the bleed valve on your pump as Fast as You Can to keep as much air as possible in the gun. Also, the manual says to NEVER leave the magnetic dustcap off of the quick disconnect, except when filling the gun. This sounds like great advice to me, except... my gun came without one. I'm sure it's tiny and can be overlooked when unpacking, but I went though the entire box and even dismantled the packaging in my vain attempt to locate it. I've contacted PyramydAir and in the meantime, I'm using a spare female QD as a temporary fix. Noise: At the highest power setting, this gun seems to be right at the breaking point of backyard friendly, so if you don't have an acre of land, you may need to use a lower power setting.

It's very powerful 22 caliber once you dial in your scop e the rifle is extremely accurate. And I love the lever action.

    Making it allot lighter

    Things I liked:

This rifle has power. The power adjuster is also a nice feature if you are just shooting cans or targets and dont need high power. The lever action is so smooth that you dont even need to take your eye off your target. Magazines are easy to load as it clicks into place each time you wind it to put in another pellet. The wood stock is nicely crafted and very comfortable.

    Things I would have changed:

Would be nice to have a rail for a bipod and sling mounts. Also a larger capacity magazine.

    What others should know:

The Eagle Claw is a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Once you pick it up and start shooting, its hard to put down. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a high end rifle.

    Things I liked:

Fit and finish are of good quality. Lever action is smooth and cycles mags well. Extremely accurate and the sound is beyond quiet. Very backyard friendly. Also shoots pellets and slugs with equal accuracy

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe make the pressure gauge/#'s a hair larger . But that's probably my eyes. Also as it is a bit heavy sling mounts would be a happy add on

    What others should know:

It's kinda tough getting that first fill up, but after that it's a breeze. I shoot 2 clips (16 shots) and it takes roughly 35 pumps with my MK5 to fill back up. Not to bad at all. I would highly recommend this rifle!!

    Things I liked:

Very nice design and finish of the stock good checkering in the right places adds to the visual appeal of this carbine, it just feels right in my hands. Good smooth lever action, easy to load and change clips. Very accurate, as I was sighting it in I found that it repeatedly put several pellets in the same hole. The carbine is easy to handle and accurate from an off hand or a kneeling position due to the good balance it has. I am very happy with my Eagle Claw carbine.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe a shorter barrel shroud with a different baffle configuration to make it easier to maneuver in dense forest areas. I got the carbine because it is more compact than the rifle but it still feels a bit long in tight areas despite its good balance.

    What others should know:

If you want a good lever action pcp airgun this is probably the most versatile option, it's very accurate, hits hard, has great balance and it just feels good in my hands.

    Things I liked:

beautiful walnut stock, action is very smooth, easy to use safety, Large air tank No probes needed. Came with 1500 psi. Fills easily because it only takes 200 bar Infinite power adjustment. Have not had a chance to chrony it yet. Cold up here in NE. Using JSB King MKII. Very accurate at distance I can shoot at moment. Will update when weather warms up

    Things I would have changed:

I would add mounts for a sling

    What others should know:

Reasonably quiet, but I added a Donny FL Tatsu for back yard Beautiful rifle, well engineered, on level of my AA510 This is a hunting rifle, great for either left or right handed shooters

    Things I liked:

The carbine rifle was delivered in about 4 days from the time I bought it , much faster than I expected . This rifle exceeded my expectations from fit to finish and at a great price point . The lever action is smooth and the power of this rifle is great . What pleasantly surprised was how quiet it is even with the power wheel at all the way up . I ran about 24 shots through it on about 3/4 power and still was in the green on the air gauge . Im Very happy with this purchase .

    Things I would have changed:

The one thing I would change is the cartridge unlike my Sumatra that has a steel one the eagle claw is plastic and very flimsy . Also it wont take slugs that the Sumatra takes . I found out that even though these certain pellets fit the cartridge they got stuck when trying to rotate it . I had to loosen the screws to try to get the cartridge to move and it broke so now I have only one cartridge . They should have used a steel cylinder type cartridge similar to the Sumatra or a more heavy duty one . Now I need to buy a few more cartridges unfortunately just in case another one breaks .

    What others should know:

Being left handed the lever action is a great way to go if you want a repeater . This rifles price point is well worth it and its Very accurate you need a scope there are no open sights . This is my second purchase from pyramid and Im very satisfied with both and would not hesitate to buy again from pyramid . Buy this rifle you will not be disappointed .

    Things I liked:

    1) Plenty of power for heavier pellets, power wheel actually works!! 2) Love the lever action, very slick... 3) Fit and finish is great and rifle is a looker! 4) After about 100-120 rds. rifle settles in and is tack driver accurate 5) Only a couple lever actions on the market...this is a nice one.

    Things I would have changed:

    1) Should have stock iron sights...all lever guns should have iron sights! 2) Skirt first loading is kinda strange, but you get used to it...

    What others should know:

Super straight forward filling and a cap to keep dust and refuse out, nice.

    Things I liked:

Smoother, quieter than my Sumatra 500 .25. Love the finish on barrel, its diff, a flat matte semi wrinkle type, but waxes rather smooth. Stock is beautiful, Blue'n is sweet on air tube.3 spring loaded removable, cleanable baffles in end of barrel, no need for a LDC where i live, dont spook my Horses. Picatinny/Weaver rail much better than dove tail on Sumatra IMO. Accuracy w/ slugs or pellets out to 175yrds that ive done. Dial-able up to 88 fpe w/ new hammer spring Air Venturi sent me. Saved a $100 on refurbished, not a scratch. Sturdy quick disconnect fitting. Hammer spring super easy to change out=1 pin. It really is a re-engineered up dated smoother Sumatra...the sacrifice is 10 fpe less than Sumatra for better air mileage, looks and manners...its bad a**...love it

    Things I would have changed:

Plastic mag (why) the xtra 1 i bought was modified much like what Will Piatt does to Sumatra mag, it has a o-ring and hold slugs better. JSB 33.9g MK2 have to pressed in, i use the original mag for them so as not put excessive wear on the o-ring on the new one. But hold the Benji domes great, they go right in easily. Benjis fall threw the original but are super accurate. Just gotta be mindfull of it...theys some wrong info on this rifle being posted...people are guessing and posting, which is dumb, and wrong

    What others should know:

Mine came making 55 fpe. AV hooked me up w a new hammer spring a full inch longer and bam 88 fpe w 43.5g NSA slugs, 78 fpe w/ JSB 33.9g MK2. 76 fpe w Benji domes. PolyMags sizzle SS and hold tight at 100yrd too. Benji, JSB, NSA slugs out to 175 yr maybe further, thats all the room i got. My Sumatra loves the NSA 52 & 55g BTHP but over 43.5g is maybe a little heavy for the Eagle Claw, it didnt likem. H&N Griz are .248"=too small. as are the NSA .249" so far (maybe if i dial the power down) but .248" is too small, but NSA .250" work great, already took a Coyote at 90 yrd w/ a 43.5g NSA. Ill keep using the Sumatra on hogs.Theys currently updates being made to this rifle (ex. the hammer spring). Dont fret it. Yes Will Piatt is tuning them...The Sumatra is still king of the Beast, the Eagle Claws a gentler more sophisticated beast but a beast none the less...Cult .25...happy slugging

As it happens, I'm about to return the gun and exchange for another of the same. I should probably wait to review but I can always update. The look and feel of it is great. Quite accurate. I like it a lot. Problem is I'm getting nowhere near the stated power. I'm hoping I just got a dud and it hasn't been overrated.

    Things I would have changed:

Like I said, I plan to change it for one which I hope will live up to the sales pitch.

    What others should know:

It seems to be a nice gun. Let's hope I can give a positive update.

    Things I liked:

I bought the .25 long version. Intended use is Hunting. I love the Power, Versatility, Accuracy. Had mine dropped shipped to Will Piatt for tune, wanted a hunting rifle that could shoot slugs, and that is what I got, but it also shoots pellets very well. This is an 84 Ft. Lb. gun after tune. 43.5 gr. 16 shot avg. 939, E.S. 44 FPS, it is unregulated. Pretty quiet for power. Agree sling studs should be on this gun. Also Lever action should have open sights. Wish I could post photos, 100 yrd sub MOA easy. Not heavy at all for a longer gun, the carbine would be really nice and honestly with this kind of power, might need to get the been...A really, really sweet gun for the money!! Stock is very comfortable to shoot off hand and off sticks if you are posted up.

    Things I would have changed:

Mag needs work, it works just fine with pellets, but if using slugs cycle with barrel down as slugs can fall back and interfere with cycling and can cause some damage, I learned the hard way and Will quickly repaired but not for free as was not his fault. Definitely offer open sights for quick acquisition, this gun is accurate and in those moments when you have a second to acquire and get the shot off would really add to the versatility when hunting.

    What others should know:

Nielsen slugs are accurate in this gun, power wheel adjustment a plus, seems each weight slug works best at different FPS, making accurate shots in low wind out to 175 yards with slugs. but keep FPS 890-930 for best results. A tuned EC will push them easily over 1040 on highest power, Still pretty accurate even at 1039 when I was shooting long distance. Barrel twist rate is 18/1, un-choked. Best pellet is JSB King Heavy MkII super, super accurate and will put a great big smile on your face! Tremendous value for the money, Awesome job Sam Yang and Air Venturi. I love to shoot this gun!!! If you get one...you will too! 5 stars because you get a hellofa gun for that price...Medium game gun, over kill on small game when tuned for max power...

    Things I liked:

Love the lever action. It is very smooth and easy to operate. After sighting in with JSB King 25.39 gr. pellets this rifle is putting pellets in one hole at 25 yards. Will chronograph next week to verify the power but based on what I have shot so far I expect the rifle to deliver good power as advertised. Longer range shots will have to wait also until I can get to the range but I'm pretty sure this rifle will not disappoint. The fit and finish are first class with deep bluing and very attractive wood.

    Things I would have changed:

Since this is really a hunting gun, I would like to see sling swivels on the stock. The rifle came with several extras (case, exploding golf balls and hunting pellets), but I would personally rather see the price discounted.

    What others should know:

Don't let your air tank get low. I have a 90 cu.in. tank that gives me 3-4 fills before a trip to the scuba shop. This thing is a blast to shoot. I'm thinking a compressor will be my next purchase.
