SIG Sauer MCX Scope Combo Reviews

bought yhe rifle and loved it but it jammed and can't unjam

Great, other than the trigger which feels gritty and somewhat heavy. My likelihood to recommend Sig as stated below is based on my other Sig firearms, rather than this one.

What can I say but the looks and feel of this Carbine air rifle is great ,its mostly all metal with authentic weight and mechanics .it will shoot good groups at 25 to 30 yards but anything past that is going to be luck if you hit your target .The rifled barrel could be better but for the price its doing its job.Mine is a newer model so they have fixed certain issues like making more c02 tanks fit .I use to see people say the JT 90 gram tanks don't work well they all do on mine.Super fun gun to shoot I wish hit really hit 700fps but in reality with 5.5 gr (some of the lightest I have )I can hit 620fps and higher sometimes but not very often average in the MCX is around 550fps which is what the MPX short barrel version says it does.Bottomline superfun for plinking.As for pest control on a new tank your can get some smaller birds and pigeons if they are close enough and with the right pellet.Yesterday I hit a black sparrow type bird with my 5th shot on a new tank and it actually killed it

make it blow back or at least make the side dust cover open so you can clear jams .Also this should be field strippable because you need to clean it for longevity and accuracy.Up the FPS and foot pounds to at least 1000fps even if it makes it a little more expensive and maybe offer a full auto select as well.

well after all this I need to mention that my first MCX broke after 3 and a half weeks I mean it just stopped firing out of knowhere .it was a brand new 90 gram tank (which are in short supply) wasted but since it was only 20 days they just swapped it out and gave me another one (I actually was gonna get a different airgun since they gave me credit back to spend on whatever I wanted but I got another one and so far so good and it shooting around 40fps faster .
ITS ACTAULLY A GREAT STARTER AIRGUN IF YOU HAVE THE CASH AND LIKE REPLICAS .ONE THING IT DID DO WAS MAKE ME WANT TO BUY A MORE POWERFUL AIR RIFLE .MAYBE THE SIG VIRTUS IN .22 BUT PROBABLY NOT IF YOU WANT A PEST CONTROL/HUNTING AIR RIFLE SPEND THE EXTRA 3OO DOLLARS AND GET A MID RANGE PCP LIKE THE HATSAN BULLPUB OR BENJAMIN AKELA IN ,22CAL OR.25 CAL

I’ve had the MCX a short period of time but have enjoyed shooting it. It’s simple to operate and functional. It took some time to bore sight and zero in the scope but it is accurate.

Excellent replica of the real SIG MCX rifle. Very good solid materials. Fit and function at this price is unbeatable. The performance is worth the money spent too.

The gun shot very accurate off target, but the scope won’t adjust to get the gun to zero

After the third pellet, nothing, except a little piece of something rattling around inside. YouTube has a video of a guy taking his apart and putting a tiny component back in its spot, putting the gun back together, and shooting it a few times until the piece falls out again. I could do the same thing, but the cartridge is still screwed in and I'm unwilling to risk my eyesight or something over this issue. After my 3 shots, the CO2 cartridge is nearly fully charged, so I'm not willing to risk losing my eyesight or something for this issue. I want to like and use this airgun (squirrels raiding bird feeders), but based on my experience, YouTube, and reading the comments on this site give me the impression that there may be one or two people in our midst that don't take pride in their work product, who knows, but it gets out the door only after the money comes in the door. "Made in Japan" is stamped on the side of the airgun, which is surprising, since every other Japanese product I have owned in the past decades has been superbly crafted and utterly reliable. It appears as if someone is coasting on those successes. Cudo's to Sig Sauer for allowing open and honest comments being posted on their web site. That shows that they are concerned and unafraid. My carry gun is a Sig P938, so I trust their workmanship with my life. I can't trust this airgun to startle a squirrel.

Worthless scope. Could not adjust it low enough to use it. I ended up putting an eotech he’s on it to make it usable. Still an inaccurate piece

Bought it over a month ago and have had great, inexpensive target shooting fun ever since

I bought this about a year ago, and while it is very accurate, it is not dependable. The rifle will fire one or two rounds and then there is no CO2...just dry fire clicks. If I use the charging handle several times, it might re engage the CO2 and fire one more round. Then I have to hit the charging handle a few more times to get another round out. Not good. Sig - Any ideas?

Was a fun gun to play around with but now it leaks when I screw in new bottle. I have only used 4 bottles of co2 with the gun so I am very surprised I am having this issue with such little use time. Very unhappy about this purchase. Love my p227 and p938 but this gun has its issues by my experience and reading the other reviews.

Very good, heavy (no plastic) looks so real. And very accurate

I bought this rifle online next day after being introduced to this Awsome machine by a friend. The feel, look, accuracy, handling and balance is...All I can say is You gotta shoot one. Though I use it for inexpensive tactical training, its also great to plink with my grand daughter "my lil eagle eye" Lol. All pun aside... Im very impressed with Sig Sauer's engineers for making one of the closest to the real macoy target/tactical Co2 rifles Ive had to play and train with. Cons... 700fps? I didnt see it, but still does the job I need from it! I was very disappointed to open the box and see no scope where one should be as though it was removed to sell separately. 3rd party online seller?? And the mag only came with one pellet belt. Unless I purchased a base model I was unaware of. Unlike the one I shot that came with the scope and 3 extra belts as this should have for the price I paid. Either case...Im very please with the rifle!

It is just absolutely awesome!!! Just got it about 2 hours ago and fired about 90 round and I am very pleased, other than I had an understanding that the flip sight came with every weapon not just the scope. So far everything else is great!!!

I’ve read some of the negative reviews and don’t understand it I bought mine when it first came out I have probably easily over 2500 rounds fired have never had a seal problem or any accuracy problems this thing drives tacks, is by far one of my favorite training firearms.

Fairly accurate air rifle at 50ft. 10 out of 30 inside 1 inch dot @ 50ft remainder within 1 to 2 inches of outside of dot. occasional wild pellet, due to pellet. Rapid fire 30 round magazine works well. Only had it jam twice out of 500+ rounds. Using windage hits wild turkeys at over 100ft regularly. Got a mean ground squirrel at 40 ft no problem.Great fun gun!

having had my gun for a while now , it seems to suffer from repeated seal failure when ever i change the gas cylinder on it . it has spent 6 months off at the supplier all for one faulty seal .

Awesome rifle. I own an MCX Vritus .300BLK and this one looks and weighs the same. I took it to a range with my son and the range master was fooled even after close inspection. It works really well and was easy to sight in with the factory sight. A ton of fun and looks awesome too!

Nice size for garage short shooting. Plenty of fun with 30 rd clip. Decent scope as I am old. Getting 250 -300 shots per 88 cartridge.

Would like to see 700 FPS as advertised.
