I am relieved that the pistol shoots to the point of aim with the fixed sights. It has been reliable and accurate thus far. It may be ittle early to make a full review, but things look good. I have only shot about 100 rounds thus far. I waited months for the order to be filled. I own six real 9 mm Sig 226's and the pellet version feels l almost like the real ones (including weight when lthey are loaded).

The threaded tip of the barrel keeps coming loose and must be re-tightened after 16 rounds. The action is closed, complicating cleaning and possible trouble-shooting, especially if there is a jam. The Sig decocking lever, which doubles as a safety, is really sticky. The trigger is rough (not like the real 226 in this respect) and breaks at about 7 pounts single action, but becomes manageable after a few rounds. I also wish the pistol came with a spare magazine or two. I am unable to ocate any spares (see comments below).

The big concerns are:

1. I cannot find any spare magazines for sale at all online. Pyramyd says it does not have any and cannot tell me where to find some. Based on the way the gun operates, It appears the magazine durability may be an issue in the near future.

2. I cannot find anything on the Sig site about its pellet guns, let alone anything on parts or service or sprare magazines.

Not bad:the size,weight,outside look,is good. But the speed is lower than they side. 10 shots with 7gr pellets the highest is 390fps, lowest is 330fps, the accuracy is really bad, I can't believe it have the rifle line! No bad, just so so.

Insulting to offer Ina cheap blister pack. Falls far short of expected velocity and drops off fast. Don't like rotary mags a dated design. Slide should lock back with functioning release. A retread of prior ASG pistols. Not worth the wait and basically a disappointment from SIG

Wait for next generation

If you can keep the pellets from falling out of the rotary magazine it works pretty well.

If I were the manufacturer of these guns I would have tested them a bit more. The pellet magazines are horrible. They are too big causing pellets to fall out of magazine when firing gun.

I have tried several brands & styles of pellets, they all fit loosely in the rotary magazines & fall out when firing gun. The barrel floats (is loose) in the gun which causes inconsistent accuracy. The P250 has all of the same issues as the P226.

I own a genuine Sig Sauer P226 (9MM) this is a fantastic replica with very similar weight. The sight picture is great with the 3-Dot. The double/single action is great. This has a very smooth action and the blow-back is great. The Co2 loading is one of the best I have ever experienced. Very simple and fast. You open the rear of the grip, drop-in the Co2 and simple close it.

The velocity is a bit weak. They claim up to 510 FPS but that is not realistic. If you use the lightest non-lead pellet you will get close but have absolutely no accuracy. My gun shoots very low and to the left. This can not be corrected with the fixed sights. With that they should pay more attention in setting this up at the factory of put adjustable sights. The clamshell packaging is horrible and makes the gun appear cheap. Put this in a classy cardboard box and charge another 50 cents.

The magazine system is identical to the PX-4 and the CZ. However they are shorter and not interchangeable. I Chronod the RWS Meisterkugeln PISTOL Pellets - .177 cal., 7.0 grains. This was a 78 degree day. A high of 361 fps and a low of 322 fps with an average of 338 fps. The accuracy was less than stellar. At 25 feet we had a 4 group CTC from a rested position. The gun is fun for plinking at cans and over-all practicing for center fire shooting, anything beyond that you will be disappointed. It is fun to hold and to fun shoot overall. I just wish it was more accurate. For $99.00 you really can't go wrong especially if you are a Sig Sauer fan.

This pistol looks really good. It also has very good accuracy potential with a rail mounted laser sight. The CO2 cartridge installation and piercing mechanism is first rate but it must be done properly as the cartridge is pierced early in the locking and piercing stage. On my first attempt, I began to lock the piercing lever but when I encountered the resistance of the camming action I hesitated and backed off. Doing so allowed the gas to escape when the cartridge was no longer held against the seal. If you continue the locking action without stopping, it works perfectly. The pistol is made of metal except for the sights, magazine and grip panels. The trigger was okay with a crisp but somewhat heavy second stage. With the hammer cocked it has a long, light first stage (during this time the magazine is advanced, so do not let it return or you will advance the cylinder again) followed by the final heavier pull. Accuracy was 1-5/8" @ 10 yards with several pellets using the laser sight.

The factory sights are a shame to put on such and otherwise fine pistol. They are cheap and appear as a sight you would expect to find on a $10.00 toy gun. They are also practically non-functional as the front could be drifted for windage but the rear is fixed and the gun shot below the point of aim by four inches! The rear notch is too wide for any sort of accurate aiming since its window is at least 2-1/2 times as wide as the front sight. I mounted a Sightmark Laser sight on the under-barrel rail. Velocity was a lot less than the advertised 510 fps with 7.0 gr lead pellets at 409 fps avg. @ 70 degrees F. I also measured velocity with an 8.2 gr. lead pellet and it was 389 fps. avg. I know these will increase with warmer temperatures, but I do not believe the velocity will ever reach 510 fps unless one uses the ultra-light alloy pellets. I do not use them having found them to be both inaccurate and ballistically inferior rather quickly.

Do not suppose you are getting a gun manufactured by the Sig-Sauer factory in Germany; these are made in Japan. (Thank God it was not China!) I will break down what I think of the following categories of the pistol: FIT AND FINISH: 4 stars. The grips fit tightly with no play; the satin black finish is very uniform and smooth; the slide has some side to side play but is not excessive; the barrel has some play in the frame but accuracy is very good; FACTORY SIGHTS: worthless. MAGAZINE: 4 stars. Although plastic and very light, it is tightly fitted and pellets fit perfectly in the chambers. There were no failures to cycle or jams. Insertion and removal are smooth and trouble-free. Loading pellets was straightforward and the proper orientation for the pellets is molded into the magazine. Get ready on the release of the magazine catch because the magazine jumps clear of the pistol. I found the pistol would give about 30 shots of near full-power velocity before beginning to drop off.

Wow. Functional training device. First few shots on a 12 gram cartridge are hot. Settles in well through the first 60 shots.

22 caliber. Spare clips - needs spare clips available now.

The clip doesn't like pointed pellets. Gun shoots them fine, except all over the place. 24 hours since opening it up, maybe 500 pellets shot so far. Crosman Destroyer EX, Premier Hollow points, and Benjamin Hollow points fit the mag perfectly. Gamo Magnum 7.56 gram and TF-PHB500 pointed pellets fall out of the clip. I'm carving in a hole in the center of my milk crate pellet trap with the Destroyers.

This is my first airgun, but given the lack of reviews, I thought I'd jot down what I have so far. It seems well-built, accurate and fairly powerful. You'll have to ask someone with a chrono and more experience for precise numbers, but at really close range (15 feet) with inexpensive pellets (Crosman Competition) and no special fuss, the holes in the target were touching each other. I fired from closer than the recommended range into a Gamo trap, and the pellets were squashed flat and still had enough energy to bounce back out into the space behind the paper target. I won't do that again. I might give it a higher rating if I had more to compare it with. The build quality feels a LOT nicer than the all-plastic air pistols I've handled, but I've never owned or fired one.

See my last two comments in the "what others should know" section. I wouldn't change them because they replicate feel of the real gun, but they're worth noting.

While the trigger is described as single-action/double-action, it's always double-action in one sense: The trigger advances the cylinder rather than the slide action chambering the next round as would be the case in the real autopistol. It will do that even with the safety on, FWIW.

I'm using a Swiss Arms Metal Micro Rail Laser without problems.

The mag is made of plastic and very light. It doesn't look or feel badly designed, and they seem to have used a decent grade of plastic (just not much of it), so we'll see how it holds up.

The decocker/safety is awkward to release (which isn't too surprising, since on the real gun that would happen automatically with the first trigger pull).

It's also fairly asy to bump the mag release.

Very heafty feel and smooth... crisp...cycling of mag cyclinder when squeezing trigger slowly which indicates well planned internal parts...crony indicates 500fps with crossman ssp.....they only weigh 4.5gr so in my nitro pistons the break the sound barrier the entire flight path...not that accurate but they average 100-200 fps gain in most guns...the shots are very consistant in power..again that depends on pellet weight...i dont shoot bb 's out rifled barrelled guns so i couldnt tell you what they average this gun but it does accept bb's too...now if i l could only get that mcx i ordered i'd be all good...bottom line well worth the price...

Accuracy is so so..This does not accept gamo pt 85 mags or berretta px4 mags ( which are really the same thing...remove the t bar and spring in umarex replacement mag and it will work in a gamo no problems...so guess what replacement mags are $17.99 and are pre order only right now..also thread-on barrel cover walks itself off when firing because of vibration of hard kicking blowback action...sig knows to flare barrel ends for better suppressor lockup and completely dropped the ball on this one..also may i mention no slide hold open...so in the year 2050.... or middle of Oct. ....Or whenever they decide to release our co2 mpx's\mcx's the suppressor which fits this gun will have to be threaded on by an juggling act of hold both the slide back and threading on the suppressor...which i will surely be taking part of...also i broke it on the first day..the magazine ejection button just fell off the handle...i just reset it and its fine but WTH...Sig the first day.

Dont expect a fancy box or anything because its just a blister package and no sig swag at all?? Couldnt even give us a sticker for the long wait ? I ordered in May....but PA was awesome in their customer service part as always...thanks for the prompt delivery too!!!
