Good option for force on force training or a step up from dry fire. Fits in all but 1 of my holsters, so I can use the same equipment for training as for carry.

Dude it's exactly like it's 9mm counterpart besides the recoil obviously. I'm a couple hundred rounds into it, and it is one of the funnest little things I own. 10/10 will buy another sig airsoft gun. P.s it will kill a mouse

Perfect for practical practice. Great for teaching people that are new to pistols. Must have blowback to simulate the real pistols.

I ordered the gun it didn’t work I sent it back to sig sauer back in November to be repaired and have not gotten it back yet. So far it’s not good.

When I first got it I only had 12g airsoft bbs. Accuracy was good but only at short range. Using the recommended 20g bbs made a big difference in the accurate range. The pistol is an accurate reproduction in size and weight of the P229. It fits my holsters and it is perfect for practicing draw and fire drills.

I received this an was initially so so impressed. It looked and felt just like my P229 in 357sig. Then I used it for the first time. It was so accurate and so realistic I thought I was hooked. I used it the second time and the entire top magazine where it feeds broke in pieces while firing it, jamming the gun and expelling all of the GG. Worked for one full mag and 3 shots from the second.

As part of a security team I purchased the green gas version of the P229 for force on force training in December 2019. My normal carry weapon is the non-railed SAS version of the P229, so the railed version of Airsoft 229 does not fit in one of my kydex holsters, but fits in a Tier 1 IWB kydex holster designed for a railed P229 as well as a P227 OWB holster. In terms of function, the green gas Airsoft pistol runs very similar to the 9 mm version, though the SA trigger reset is a little longer than the 9 mm. The vendor (not Sig) for the Airsoft pistol strongly suggests not doing mag drops as the feed lips on the magazine can get damaged, so one gets to do tactical reloads instead. For our force on force training, we are rarely more than 10 yards apart so within that distance the pistol is pretty accurate. The Airsoft grip feels very similar to the 9 mm SAS version that has been equipped with Hogue grips, i.e. is thicker than the original E2 grips. During the Covid-19 situation in which I am hesitant to go to indoor ranges, this has become my at least twice a week training weapon and so far so good.

The service to receive the new gun was fast. It is a perfect replication of the real thing in weight and features. I have not yet had a chance to use it with all the Covid issues. I look forward to using it.

I have had two of these. I just shoot at a target in the garage. Both failed. It bums me because I have spent additional money on green gas magazines as well as CO2 magazines. As expensive as these are, and with the big deal of the product name, I would expect much better. This is not a good product. Don't let the mfgr name fool you.

I own the M11A1 which is a P229 dressed as a P228, it is just a P229 without the rail. This airsoft pistol is the most accurate in replicating the weight and function of its parent pistol. The slide and barrel function in the most realistic short recoil locked blowback I have ever seen outside any real firearm. The takedown and field stripping as close to the real firearm as the P229 itself. Firing it is a close to a firearm as I have ever experienced in a pellet or airsoft pistol. Of course it is not perfect. It does not fit into any of my genuine SIG holsters for the M11A1 (ok, there is the rail difference) or the P226 MK25 (the MK 25 is longer but otherwise P228 and P229 pistols are compatible with MK25 holsters). It seems the air soft P229 is slightly wider than the real deal as far as I can tell and enough to make it incompatible with genuine SIG holsters. Also, like the pellet guns this airsoft pistol feels slightly heavier than the genuine pistols. Of all the replica airsoft, BB and pellet pistols of any brand copying any real firearm this is the best I have ever seen &/or owned and it definitely replicates every aspect of the firearm's function and takedown better than I have seen in any replica. I just wish it fit the holsters the way it should. The next criticism is the green gas only availability. It seems to work well enough with green gas. SIG offers the M17 airsoft with either CO2 or green gas options. I own other CO2 pistols and do not have enough green gas experience to comment other than it is harder to source, flammable and reputedly produces less FPS.
No lying, I prefer my firearms to any airsoft, BB or pellet gun, but at least I can fire the latter in my apartment.

I’ve got a 229 legion and bought this to play airsoft, and the first time i took the mag out, the magazine head broke off. I glued it back on and it held. Now a month later it wont hold any green gas. The gun is great and shoots good but i really wish there were a good co2 Magazine. I’ve tried to cOntact sig for over a weak and haven’t been contacted by them.

Was purchased to practice the finer points of holster draw and grip. It is very well weighted and works great.

I bought the Proforce P229 Airsoft green gas for personal training and fun. So far so good. Currently waiting for replacement magazine from very helpful service dept.
I’m a owner of serval Sig firearms because of quality and innovative. You won’t be disappointed with Sig Air-Soft.

i’ll start by saying I really love sig, i own a p229 legion sao and it’s one of my absolute favorite guns so i thought it would be nice to have the proforce airsoft pistol, the gun itself is great but the first time I picked it up i took the magazine out and tried to lock the follower down to load the bb’s and it released to the top and broke the head where the rounds feed into the chamber so the spring, follower, and head all shot across the room. I glued it all back together and it’s working fine. My brother also has one and his magazine doesn’t hold gas very well. Overall the pistol is great but i really wish they would make a co2 magazine for it in the future.
