    Things I liked:

We use these for our introduction to Handguns class. These are so realistic, down to the grip safety working like a real gun! Great way to teach and help new shooters and gun owners how to safely manipulate a handgun and over come any anxiety and fear.

    Things I would have changed:

    NOTHING!

    Things I liked:

I own 11 replica 1911s, which tells you that I love this model among other automatics on the market. This one is my favorite. As most others have said, the weight is true to a real 1911. I love the grips (imitation wood with a Springfield emblem embossed, subdued writing on the slide, replica take-down, firm slide action, Springfield emblem engraved on the slide, dull finish, white dot sights, no slide play, slide stays open after the last shot, solid blowback action. In short, I love this replica. It just 'feels good'.

    Things I would have changed:

I would definitely replace the silver front barrel restraint with a matching dull finished piece. Also definitely needs a notch on the clip to hold back the spring while reloading. It's very hard on the fingernails when loading. C02 depletes rapidly, as do all models with a blowback slide. That's just part of the price you pay for an excellent blowback. No deal breakers here.

    What others should know:

When I can put over 75% of my shots into a 2" target circle from 20 feet it is a real tribute to the sights and accuracy of this 1911. Those white dot sights really do the job. I was able to get almost three clips from a C02 load with good power before drop-off was a factor in fun shooting. Here are some shooting figures. Note: I use average BBs when shooting, which is why I generally fall short of the manufacturer's specs. A 5 shot string gave me statistics that were pretty consistent with a partial clip of 12 shots. Max fps=310, Min fps=301, Average fps=304.2, SD=3.87, Variance=14.96. Overall, I consider this to be excellent performance from a blowback 1911. I am sure you can meet spec with careful consideration of your amo. I always look for performance using whatever I expect to use regularly. Final Note: The Springfield Armory 1911 is IMHO one of the best values on the market in terms of quality of build and performance. You can't go wrong here.

    Things I liked:

    Size, weight, repeating action, blowback

    Things I would have changed:

Needs to come with someone to reload so I can keep shooting. Mag does need a notch to hold spring while reloading.

    What others should know:

Better buy a lot of bbs and CO2 as this gun will force you to keep shooting and shooting and shooting. So much fun!

    Things I liked:

Authenticity and quality. Field strips and the safeties, including the grip safety work like the original firearms version. I have an older .45 ACP Springfield Armory 1911 and they are almost indistinguishable in appearance and function. On my postal scale, the Air Venturi BB gun version weighs 2 lb. 2 oz. with CO2 cartridge inserted and the genuine.45 ACP version weights 2 lb. 7 oz. My BB gun version is reasonably accurate for a smooth bore short barreled pistol that has an authentic blowback operation. I have only fired a couple magazines at 5 meters, so your results may differ.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing. A simply great replica.

    What others should know:

It is a smooth bore BB gun so I would advise against inflated accuracy expectations. Recoil spring and blowback are mild compared to the real .45, but fun anyway. Magazine is a bit awkward to load. The magazine's CO2 port releasing the gas for each shot is right next to the port for loading the BBs so I suggest reading the instructions to make sure you are loading the BBs correctly.

The first air gun that looks and feels almost the same as I remember from when I carried one while in the Army. (Almost 60 years ago.)

    Things I would have changed:

A way to load more BB's For longer shooting times.

    What others should know:

Very nicely done. It looks much like my WW2 1911A1.

    Things I would have changed:

But really a chrome or silver barrel bushing? A parkerized version would be the bomb! The magazines are a bit of a pain. The follower does not lock into place for loading. It also acts like it was going to pop out of the slide.

    What others should know:

It feels like it weighs about the same as the real 45. Looks good. I would buy it again.

    Verified Purchase

    Things I liked:

This is a very impressive Co2 replica of a 1911 pistol. The look, feel and function of this gun exceeded my expectations. I initially purchased this gun to use as part of a military display but it seems now that I will be shooting it more than I planned. The blowback action is great and it does have a kick making it a lot of fun to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

I would have liked to see the barrel bushing on the front end of the gun in black not silver. Make the magazine easier to load. It does take some effort to hold the spring down to load the bb's. Neither of these issues are dealbreakers.

    What others should know:

I got about 55 shots from one Co2 canister, some of it being rapid fire. I noticed no difference from shot to shot. No chrono but it felt very consistent. My purchase was a refurb and it functioned perfectly as expected. Outside of a minor blemish it was perfect and worth every penny.

    Things I liked:

Very impressive. Appears to be very well made. Other than the tip of the barrel, it is hard to distinguish from the real thing. I had a hard time convincing my wife that it was a BB gun. I have only shot one clip of 18 BBs so far but the accuracy seems to be very good. This gun is worth much more than I paid for it in my opinion.

    Things I would have changed:

Loading the BBs into the clip is a little difficult.

    What others should know:

Can't imagine anyone being unsatisfied with this purchase.

Fantastic in weight. Feel and action. Really close compared to a real 1911. This will help get practice for the real Thing during the ammo shortage. Definitely worth the money.

    Things I would have changed:

Mag loading is difficult. You have to put them in one at a time. they need a better way to load BBS into the mag.

    Things I liked:

It's a good looking 1911. The disassembly is almost the same and it feels good with the blowback.

    Things I would have changed:

The sights are bad. My groups were 5" high and 3" left around 10 o'clock at 25'. So I have to aim low and to the right to get it inside a 3" bull after some practice. The mag is hard to load BB's and you fingers will pay the price. They really should fix that by using a cutout to hold the spring tension to allow easy access for the BB's.....Like the Springfield M1 Carbine mag and others.

    What others should know:

After you figure the sights out, you can hit the bull almost all of the time. Then let a buddy try it and he'll be lucky to hit the paper. You might win something if you bet. You only get 3/4 times on a fresh mag, maybe the cost of the blowback.

    Things I liked:

I own two Spring Field Armory Range Officer 1911's one in 45 ACP and other in 9mm. I set this gun side by side and you have to look darn hard to tell which one is a BB gun and which is the real one. Weight is very close too. Operation of the gun is amazingly like the actual gun with the drop out magazine holding BB's and the CO2. Slide action to cock the gun, safety, and over all operation is very much like an actual 1911. This gun can get you in jail or shot if shown or flashed at the wrong time! That is how realistic it is. After shooting it I was surprised how accurate it is. I was able to put nice groups together at 20 and 30 feet. Time will tell how it holds up as I put 100's of rounds thru it.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much, it is much more than I expected, especially for the price. Slide is a little loose but its not a Night Hawk Custom!

    What others should know:

Should be a fun gun for plinking and sending many shots off quickly. Loading the BB's into the magazine is a little tedious. I slapped the magazine into the grip one time and pinched the skin of my palm between the two some how. Man that hurt, nice blood blister. Putting a magazine bumper on the bottom may help but that would get in the way of the CO2 cartage alien screw. I'm going to see if I can buy a second magazine to have a little more fun shooting it since it doesn't take log to empty one.

The realistic feel. The attention to detail to the original. The fact that it can be taken apart and cleaned. Shot count per co2 cartridge.

    Things I would have changed:

More shots per magazine. More is always better. Or more velocity to stretch out the range. Otherwise nothing.

    What others should know:

If you like the 1911 platform this one is the one you want. If you're wanting a realistic looking BB pistol without spending a lot of money. This is the one you want. Great deal.

    Things I liked:

I love the look, feel and heft of this piece, very close to the original Colt Government 1911A1 that I own and the one I carried for a year in Vietnam. It looks great with the Springfield grips too. For $99.00 you can't ask for a better replica.

    Things I would have changed:

Unfortunately it us not as powerful as I expected. The BBs barely punch through a paper target and it definitely shortens the effective range. It may need to be broken in more but I suspect it probably expends too much energy cycling the next round with the blowback receiver. For this reason I cannot give this a 5 rating. If anyone has any suggestions I would really like to hear them. I am really hoping this is not a problem with the M1 I have on order.

Great copy of a Springfield 1911,grips are outstanding copy, runs well, shoots to point of aim at 7 yrds. Nice BB gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The blow back is lite as with any CO2 blow-back BB gun, Wish there was a way to the kick it up for training use but will give you trigger time with the way things in the gun world are right now.

    What others should know:

For the money this 1911 is spot on. Gives you time shooting at home when you can't get to the range.
