Stoeger Arms X50 Reviews

I have the 25 caliber model and it is solidly built with everything fitting tight. the cocking mechanism is very beefy and solid so I do not worry about anything breaking in that area. After getting the scope dialed in I was putting the .25 domed pellets in a quarter sized area after a few dozen shots and with further shooting putting them all in a nickle sized area at 30 yards. The power is awesome more than my Weihrauch HW 90. Velocity is higher as well by how much I can't say yet as I haven't put it through the Chrono yet but I can tell from the time difference shooting at targets over 100 yards away that it is significant. All of my air rifles have wooden stocks except for this gun but I rather like the fit and looks of the synthetic stock on the Stoeger. The muzzle suppressor works very well to drop the sound level. In the .25 caliber this air rifle makes for a very powerful hunting weapon especially with the addition of its accuracy.

It would be nice to have a Rekor style trigger on this gun although I find the trigger as is ok even with the long pull. The scope does seem to get batted around pretty hard as others have stated and a better more vibration resistant scope would be nice.

This is a powerful and accurate rifle capable of taking game at fairly long range in the .25 caliber for sure. It takes a bit of effort to cock but it should be expected to be so for the power it puts out.

The power and stock were really nice. Really good accurate gun. My favorite most accurate deadly pellet was the baracuda hunters. With iron sights i can hit small black birds at 65 yards. With iron Sights!!!

Scope sucked it was terrible. Screws did come loose because of power. Not a big deal just some loctite. When i cocked mine the barrel was loose and didn't really stay. I could lift the barrel up just a little after cocking and then drop it and would just fall right back down.

If youre hunting this is a good gun. If you need a scope buy a different one cause this one sucks really bad. The power will also knock the scope right off so get good rings.

Very solid rifle. Great ergonomics, and easy to cock considering the power. After break in (about 200 pellets) it has become very accurate. Nice scope provided, although needed adjustment (next time I'll get the 10 for $10 service). Plan to use primarily for target shooting, hoping for 100 yards (very accurate at 50 yards).

Barrel was really filthy, not just machine oil used in manufacture, but a heavy "gunk". Gun really needs a thorough cleaning before you can expect good accuracy.

Pyramid Air is the only online store that ships to New Jersey (to Federal Firearms Licensees gun dealers), as pellet and BB guns are considered firearms in NJ.

the speed n power it deliver is amazing.use heavier pellets.really a monster gun.u can knock down rabbits in seconds n at far distances.the butt is quite impressive n looks good.really a nice gun.

the trigger is little far.make it shorter.

Some have said this rifle doesn't shoot the 1500fps the ad claims, but I say, SO WHAT ! I shot a penny at 20 yds and it ripped it almost in two! 10.5 gr .177 cal I wish they wouldn't make false claims but this gun is a BEAST!

lighter trigger, and i dont care for the auto safety, but it is in a easy spot to disengage.

its heavy, long and loud. not city friendly. be sure your target has something solid behind it,..if it can shred a penny...this will penetrate a fence and still hurt someone.

Scope, trigger. Scope was toast after about 200 pellets thru the barrel. Trigger is garbage,very rough and tons of creep, installed a CharlieDaTuna GRTlll aftermarket trigger blade.

If you're willing to tear it down and tune it and install GRTlll, can be transformed from a very rough, twangy springer to a very accurate magnum small game hunter/long range plinker.

Feels very solid and slings pellets pretty quick that are under 15gr. Pretty impressed with the scope and it's nice and clear. Mine was so far off out of the box,but once dialed in it stayed put.

Nothing unless it's possible to make it just a little lighter in the front.

Very heavy and long at 50". I haven't shot in a while and could only manage quarter size groups at 20yds while standing(kodiak ex heavy),it should be tighter. I'd imagine it would be softball sized at 50yds. Artillery style firing is a must! Can't stress that enough because of the recoil(feels like 1 to 2" of recoil) Thank god for the rubber butt plate. This will make a great small game rifle.

Solid and very accurate air gun. As soon as you hold it you feel the power and the quality. Customer service is good and friendly.

Nothing on the air rifle. Customer service could be little more easy and ask less questions to the customers especially about Return/Exchange pructs.

Don't hold the rifle tightly, hold it loose.
Before you are desideing about the pellet that you are going to use, you must try diferent brends to be able to find the best suited pellet to your air rifle

ACCURACY IS WONDERFULL.SCOPE IS EASY TO ADJUST AND SEEMS TO STAY ADJUSTED.ADVANTAGE IS IT ONLY TAKES 1 SHOT TO KILL VARMITS WITH 22 CAL.

HARD TO COCK BARREL AND ITS NOISE IS LOUDER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, NOT SO GOOD FOR INNER CITY SQUIRLES CAUSE ITS LOUD.

This is a very accurate rifle. Right out of the box, it delivers dime sized groups at 25 yards. It's huge, 50"long, very easy to cock, and the scope is awsome

Needs a higher quality scope mount. Should have factory mounted sling studs.

Customer service at Stoeger is pretty poor. After my first 40 shots, it sheared the scope stop pin clean off. I only had the gun for 2 days, I called stoeger and they said they would send me a new mount. Still not here! I drilled, tapped and repaired the original mount and it seems fine, only time will tell. If my company sold a fairly high dollar airgun and a customer informed me that it broke after 40 shots, I would overnight the parts to them. Although I'm not happy with Stoeger as a mfgr., I'm very happy with the gun and The service I've received from Pyramyd air is outstanding
