Things I liked:

My gauntlet 30 SL arrived a little earlier today and the first thing I did was thoroughly clean the barrel. After that I checked to make sure all the screws were tight and the bottle was tight. And then mounted my scope, and Arken EPL4, 6-24x50 AO IR. I shot some groups with a 44.75 JSB pellet and the group was exceptionally tight. I like the fact that there are sufficient Picatinny rails on the front top, bottom and sides as well as sufficient MLOK slots. I found the adjustable cheekpiece to be excellent for my use. I actually like the synthetic stock which is sort of a dull olive green and not FDE. The side lever versus the bolt made a significant improvement for me. I found a video that showed how to take a horrible trigger that it comes with and easily adjust it to about a pound and 6 ounces with very little travel. I'll post the link under the "anything else Customer should know".

Things I would have changed:

I can't think of anything I would change at this point.

What others should know:

I suggest the new owners of the Gauntlet SL30 watch this video link so they can properly and safely adjust the trigger, which out of the box is very poor. There are lots of videos about this brand new air gun on YouTube and it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with a few of those videos. Here's the link on how to adjust the trigger; it's easy to do and no special expertise is required, but pay close attention to the safety issues mentioned in the video and always make sure when you're doing this that the gun is unloaded and on safe and preferably with a bottle removed. https://youtu.be/OHSDU2KGyS4

Things I liked:

At present, I cannot respond to this since I cannot charge the rifle with neither of my two PCP pumps.

Things I would have changed:

The foster fitting on the rifle lower component is undersized Foster fitting and hence cannot be charged with my PCP compressors. I have two PCP compressors which work fine with the AV rifles. I can charge the UX origin fine since it has a fill probe

What others should know:

The company should change out the Foster fitting to the identical size use in the AV rifles. This is a great disappointment not to be able to charge this 30 caliber rifle.

    Things I liked:

A step up from the original G2. Cocking and chambering is much easier with the side lever. I have the .22 model, and it is dead accurate and hard hitting with the Zan alloy slugs and the FX Hybrids. Shot count and power are insane. Getting 1 inch or less groups at 125 yards after mounting a Monstrum 2-10x30 Banshee MPVO. I have Hajimotos power tune kit installed and his breech work done.

    Things I would have changed:

Better Magazines. Will be ordering some from Hajimoto Productions

    What others should know:

    Excellent starting PCP rifle.

    Things I liked:

The side lever is nice. It's a 30 caliber. The price seems reasonable.

    Things I would have changed:

It greatly needs a moderator! This thing is REALLY loud! Subjectively, on par with a 22 WMR.

    What others should know:

It's big and it's heavy. This is my first PCP after a long history with mostly springers, and I might not buy another. Spring-piston airguns are just so much easier to live with.

Amazing power, accuracy and a great price! Side lever is buttery smooth. I love the .30 more than my .25 caliber.

    Things I would have changed:

    Pretty much perfect

Get yourself one ASAP you won’t regret it!

    Things I liked:

So far this rifle had meet my expectations. I'm not a competition shooter, just a casual backyard plinker and hunter. I own a Gauntlet in .25 and like it. This rifle is a step up from the original. Better trigger out of the box in my opinion and better stock. This is also my first .30 and my third Umarex, haven't been disappointed yet.

    Things I would have changed:

She's a big gal, not as awkward is I imagined though. That's my only real complaint if you wanna call it one. Umarex..... this platform in a bullpup please.

    What others should know:

I've ran JSB and JTS pellets through it, likes them both. Also running a Buck-Rail moderator, no issues what so ever.

    Things I liked:

VERRRY ACCURATE--Im using pellets and slugs under 55 grains, especially the Hatsan .30 cal pellets that you can get for about $8 a tin of 100 are fine but SLUGS are the TRICK>>>And Im STILLL keeping it under 55 grains--these slugs are super accurate out to 70 yards, shooting groups inside that 2 inch circle on a high contrast impact target IF you can stabilize this heavy gun-the power is OUTSTANDING and VERY HARD HITTING

    Things I would have changed:

Ohhh mannn, the WEIGHT--Try holding this "BAZOOKA" up to shoot squirrels and other game and after a while your arm WILL start to waiver so GOTTA LEARN TO GET ON SITE and SHOOT QUICK--Also, I like all of my guns with open sights so this gun would have been nice with that--I actually bought myself a Picatinny rail for the front part of the rifle and added flip up sights on the front and rear--easier for me to get on sight with these

    What others should know:

I bought a 6 x 24 x50 red/green dot scope for around $40 and it's GREAT for this gun without spending $300 for a scope--Also, you WILL REQUIRE a NOISE SUPPRESSOR or it will sound like you are shooting a .22 cal RIFLE in your backyard--I recommend the 1/2-20 UNF Suppressor made by Buckrail.com @ $25--Unless you want to spend $150 or $200 for a FAT BOY suppressor or 1 in that range--My gun is STILL a little noisy but manageable--Ohhh, I bought a CHEAP camera tripod that extends to 81 inches tall with 360 degree rotation and elevation close to 90 degrees on EBAY and a V-shaped gun attachment that costs me $7 for the tripod so I can stand in an area and shoot up in the trees quickly and on point because it's tall and scratch proof for ANY GUN--THIS was a life and back saver

Don’t like the ten shot clips they jam to often have to remove and make sure don’t double load barrel also wish gun was a little lighter in weight and better sling option gun to long quick disconnect tactical style sling

    Things I liked:

I really like the updated cocking lever and the bigger bottle on this new gauntlet is great! It holds so much more air. Very accurate. I bought this as a hunting rifle, which is why I went with a 30 cal

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice if it came with the barrel band at the end of the tank so I didn’t have to buy one online. The barrel does have a lot of flex so I got the barrel band up a little bit. Only other thing is I would think that’s a rail mount on the Ford grip Should be a little more substantial. You’re just going into some plastic that is held on with three small screws. I would like to see that be a little more substantial because that is where you were going to put your bi pod and your sling mount

    What others should know:

The first one of these guns that I bought was defective. But pyramid air was great and they did a very quick turnaround getting me a new rifle.

    Things I liked:

whats not to like? I'm new to the pcp world, have gauntlet .25, and notos .22 both are fun and accurate. This is a whole step above hits hard great stock. Installe 4x16 x50 scope on 1in rings hit center of target at 50 yards heavy js diablos. Offhand shooting went to 75 yrds the same was cold didnt stay out much longer ls is smooth and gun is built well.

    Things I would have changed:

nothing I can see. larger mag would be nice. Barrel band should come with gun for the price.

    What others should know:

cycle LS before filling. Several times had to do that on my other rifles. Mine held pressure no leaks. as far as trigger I'm x military and 62 yrs old we learn our weapon and shoot accordingly. I feel there's too many so called experts that blame the weapon not the shooters skills. as an old competition pistol shooter I've seen people shoot better with out of the box guns then messing with everything before learning to shoot the gun. This is not a cheap rifle for the price it should come with a barrlel band I have 2 on mine, 1on my gauntlet with the larger air cylinderand 2on my air venturi bullpup .25. Thats what I found most of these rifles need to be accurate. Not a bunch of re-engineering on a rifle that cost as much as a centerfire hunting rifle.

    Things I liked:

This is my favorite Gauntlet. Smooth follow up shots and very accurate. With a silencer on the long barrel you will have to raise the scope higher to keep it out of view. I chose to keep it as it came from pyramyd. I added a low scope mount. This rifle gave me a woody and I am old. hehe

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

    Side lever is boss.

    Things I liked:

The foster quick connection is of the improper size . it was not possible to charge the gun with either of my PCP pumps. The measured depth of the AV foster quick connect was.8.74 mm. The measured depth on the UX foster quick connect was only7.59 mm. Hence, proper connection with the pump to the air rifle could not be made. EdG PhD.

    Things I would have changed:

The foster quick connection used on the UX air rifles should be identical to the AV series. The foster quick connect on this gun is nonstandard and hence will not properly load.

    What others should know:

Do not purchase this gun unless it has been tested out that it will properly charge.
