Sorry guys. Way to much fun. I'm enjoying much. Got my sling from China. The only thing I would change?

    Things I would have changed:

I would have ordered the gun at a later date.

    It's about fun

    Things I liked:

This Legends MP40 BB rifle is another historic replica that I am very pleased to have in my collection. It appears to me so far at this time to be very well made for shooting semi auto. All of the shot tests I performed as described below worked well without any problems. The rifle successfully shot the following BBs: Umarex Steel, Crosman Copperhead, Daisy Premium and Avanti, Hornady Black Diamond, and Marksman. The 18 foot distance, bench rested, 10 shot semi auto accuracy was reasonable to very good for all of these BBs: Umarex - 1", Copperhead - 1 3/4", Daisy Premium - 1 3/8", Avanti - 11/16, Hornady - 3/4", and Marksman - 3/4". Total slow fire semi auto shot counts: Umarex CO2 - 154, Crosman CO2 - 159, and Swiss Arms CO2 - 168.

    Things I would have changed:

There are a couple of changes I want to see. I want a follower lock in the magazine when loading BBs. For safety when shooting full auto, I would like to see this rifle be able to reliably shoot the Smart Shot copper coated lead BBs.

    What others should know:

All shots were done in semi auto mode. I have not yet shot this rifle in full auto mode. Three separate magazines were used. Three brands of CO2 were used: Umarex, Crosman, and Swiss Arms. The CO2 screws were tightened as much as possible which successfully pierced all CO2 cartridges. Ten shot groups were shot slowly in semi auto mode to test the accuracy of the rifle with various BBs. The shot tests were performed at a distance of 18 feet to target using both bench rested and off-hand standing positions. Targets were NRA 10 meter Air Pistol Targets with 2" shot spots on the center bulls eye. Aim point was the 12 o'clock position on the shot spot to keep shots on the spot instead of hitting low. Each magazine was reloaded 7 times with 10 shots and shot slowly semi auto without any jam or feed problems. For shot count determination, each magazine was reloaded 2 times with 40 shots and 1 time with 50 shots and shot slowly semi-auto without any jam or feed problems.

Great idea does not work well. bbs double up in magazine & will not feed. Have tried 2 different mags with same result.

    Things I liked:

    Beautiful replica.

    Things I would have changed:

The magazine follower spring isn't strong enough to feed BB's fast enough for full auto fire until it's almost empty. By then you've wasted a lot of CO2 and there's only enough ammo for a few short bursts.

    What others should know:

Having always wanting to try shooting Skeet with a machine gun, I bought the MP40 to the range last night. I thought the Station 7 High House target (incomer) might be possible to hit. I couldn't hit it from there so I tried Station 8. At this point I could see the BB steam in the lights and saw that I was well behind the target. At 1/3 the speed of a shotgun's muzzle velocity this makes sense. I think I could learn to hit with it but my Skeet scores would tank...

    Things I liked:

Like the look, feel and firing action except for the magazines

    Things I would have changed:

Umarex is aware there is a magazine feed problem and are working on a replacement for it .Maybe give us a notch for clip to make it easier too load

    What others should know:

Hopefully the new magazines will be here soon and replacement O -rings for them The Mag I have now sticks a lot unless I spray silicon oil into the loading area. As I have said I have had 2 guns and 3 mags so far and the jamming problem is it _ I have sent one of my mags back to Umarex instead of Pyramid Air which is where I got the guns and all 3 mags.

    Things I liked:

The realism in appearance is top notch on this MP-40. That said, that is where all the good stuff ends at. Loading the 60 BB's into the clip isn't all that easy and is time consuming. It takes two co2 cartridges and it appears that sometimes one does not fully pierce. FPS falls off almost immediately. And from the beginning I have never been able to pop off on full auto all 60 rounds without it misfiring and/or goes into a dry-fire mode. Performance on this is really horrible. The only thing it's got going for it is it's looks. I recommend getting a book and look at it's picture there.

    Things I would have changed:

    performance

    What others should know:

not a good buy but pretty to look at.

This is a fun gun !!! Ive put over 3000 bbs thru it .. only hitch was copperheads wouldnt work... Daisy premium worked flawlessly It does chew thri CO2 tho so stock up!

    Things I would have changed:

Loading bbs is a pain .. a bit bigger finger catch for the slide would fix

Works exactly as described. Use high quality BB's and do not over load the clip. I have used 40-45 BB's and so far have not had any jams. Very realistic and accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

A little bit of a pain to load the clip. I wish I could have found the combat used looking model instead of the new looking one.

    Things I liked:

Awesome on auto- lets face it thats what its for - semi why?

    Things I would have changed:

Yes a lockable spring loading tab would be nice. As I have had no trouble with piercing both CO2 s cant speak to that only use the Umarex ones . Turn until it stops completely Have fired 3000 bbs so far with 2 guns and 3 mags so far.

    What others should know:

1st gun had hangs on auto but only if firing in short bursts - BBs @ 40 per load and usually on 2nd or 3rd bb reload- I get 4 loads like this - same problem with the extra magazine . On semi or auto firing one long burst shot 50 bbs no hangs . Noted the safe -semi- auto switch was hard to move as was both mags to insert and release. On the second gun which was a replacement for the 1st gun fit was better for switch and the mag and the first 3 CO2 loads great no hangs firing auto short bursts - next 3 started hanging again so tried the extra mag it fired ok in this mode but was a bitch to release and the black O-ring at magazine top rear cracked. Finally sprayed the BB area with Silicon non petroleum lub and have fired two CO2 loads without a problem so far on the mag the came with the 2nd gun - A fellow from Norway on You Tube that has this gun suggested it and Umarex techs said ok to try it so we will see

    Things I liked:

This is an EXCELLENT PRODUCT !!!!!! Please note that the "SLING ATTACHMENT " at forward end of the gun is incorrectly assembled on the wrong side (BOLT SIDE) !! The sling interferes with the bolt.....If you research actual photos of German solders , you will notice that the sling attachment is on other side of the gun so as NOT to interfere with the bolt. ! ! ! I disassembled the barrel and reversed the attachment so my sling does NOT get in the way of the bolt !!!!! This is NOT a difficult process....If you do not use a sling , this attachment is NOT a problem ! ! ! !

    Things I would have changed:

Please inform the factory of the "SLING LOCATION. "

    What others should know:

LOAD-UP ON "BBs". And LOTS OF CO2. !!!!!!! This is best REPLICA AIR GUN I. OWN !!!! I have all of "UMAREX LEGENDS" air guns !!! THEY ARE ALL FANTASTIC !!!!

    Things I liked:

Exterior build and Internals are excellent. This gun weighs just 14oz less than a real MP40 ! The brown plastic parts are actually darker than they may look in photos. This gun is very accurate, hitting 2" groupings standing unsupported at 26 feet on full auto !!! This gun feels good in the hands and built solid. Firing on Full auto feels like you are firing a real firearm with the satisfying "Blow Back" action. FPS is powerful enough to tear up the thicker aluminum cans such as soup cans, etc. I rate this gun 5 STARS all around.

    Things I would have changed:

The magazine BB stopper has to be held down while loading and does not lock in place. Takes time to load but you get used to it !

    What others should know:

If you like WWII replicas, BUY THIS GUN !!! There are MP40 display guns out there that do nothing and cost more and weigh less than this BB gun does. This one at least you can shoot. Make sure that you double stack your BB's to prevent misfires. Also load less than 50 BB's as the spring in the Mag really does not handle more than that !

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

The weight, look, feel and accuracy. 1 star for now as I may have to return it. It began to dry fire with a loaded magazine with fresh CO2 with both cartridges punctured, even with only 20 BBs inside it. There's a spring visible inside the breach which I didn't notice before, but may have always been there. It didn't start to malfunction until after 1,500 or so BBs fired through it, 40 BBs per fill. Was working really good in Semi and Auto modes until the malfunction happened.

    Things I would have changed:

Stronger magazine spring. A catch for the follower to make loading easier. Umarex's M712 clips have a catch. A way to bleed the remaing CO2 in the magazine. Was difficult to get the bottom screw out. Not enough CO2 to cycle the charging handle and fire doesn't mean its completely empty. Was 86 degrees outside, took a lot of effort to get the bottom screw off just to hear an enemic Phht of CO2 once the bottom screw was loose enough. The box clearly states 52 shot magazine. Umarex and Pyrmayd both claim 60 (only load with 40 though). So which is it? It can't be both. If 33% of the magazines capacity is unusable, its a major design flaw.

    What others should know:

Get the Umarex speed loaded. Its cheap plastic, but mine works really well. Shipping was too slow. I'm less than 400 miles from Solon Ohio. Ordered it on a Sunday, it was in stock. It didn't arrive until Saturday. Should have shipped on Tuesday at the latest, didn't ship until late Wednesday. Free shipping wasn't worth it. I can't fire it where I reside, I take my air guns to a weekend house I have out in the country. I leave on Fridays to go there. So I had to wait an extra week to fire it. Google maps says its a 2 day bicycle ride from my house to Solon. I would have been faster to ride my bicycle there and back than PA's shipping was. That's just pathetic. If Pyramyd can't fix their slow shipping issue, I don't see me ordering from them again.

    Things I liked:

The gun is very accurate.....Surprisingly so! The first time I used it I didn't tighten the CO2 piercing screw all the way and only pierced one cartridge. I still got 100 decent shots out, and was surprised it was from only one cartridge! Second round I got it right, and had a blast. I had no jams as long as I didn't load more than 45-50 BB's. if you load the full 60 BB's the spring compresses them too much in the feed and they get stuck. Though the magnet at the top to draw the BB's up is a great feature! The gun is just well thought out and being heavy and all metal really makes for a nice authentic feel. The box makes a great storage container for the gun as the gun folds up easily, and the box has a nice compartment for the gun and mag and closes up nicely. It's a nice touch!

    Things I would have changed:

I would like an even larger magazine that might hold 100 BB's. it blows through even 50 shots like it's nothing when in auto mode. But that's a small issue on such a fun gun!

    What others should know:

If you want to load BB's easily, all you have to do it get a straw and close off one end with tape. Pour BB's into your palm, and scoop them into the straw. Pull back the feed spring and point the magazine slightly downward. If you run your straw at the sweet spot in the loading hole, you will load 30 BB's within 5 seconds!

    Things I liked:

This gun looks and feels like the real deal even has blow back which is pretty cool, I've actually had a chance to fire the real mp 40 and this is pretty close weight wise definitely a lot of fun for a BB gun

    Things I would have changed:

I would think a stronger spring in the mag would be a good start along with a better way to feed the bbs into the mag I end up loosing more on the ground trying to load the darn thing , also wish the co2 would last longer I'm getting maybe 120 shots full auto then it dumps

    What others should know:

All in all this gun is a blast to shoot but keep in mind you'll need a lot of co2s if you plan on shooting full auto for a while an a extra mag is a must

Here's the Report I gave on a Face Book "Group" I belong to(Veterans Airgun Enthusiasts),,,,,,,,"Well it Arrived yesterday Morning,,,,,and I've already put about 250 round's Through it,,,,,,,At first I thought I was sent a "Lemon",,,I decided to try it first w/ H&N "Excite" Smart-Shot BB's @ 7+gr,.,,,,,and it would do fine for 3-4 rounds on Single Action,,,,Then Nothing,,,,Tried it on Full-Auto,=NOTHING !!!,,,,,I then took out the Rest of the H&N BB's, and Re-Loaded the Mag w/ Daisy's @ 5,1gr,. , And it Functioned Flawlessly, on semi & Full Auto,.W/ Surprising Accuracy, @ 15 yd's I was getting One-Ragged Hole grouping's per Mag(which holds 52 BB's), 2 full Mag's= 2 Co2 Carts. This Gun is simply Awesome in Terms of Build Quality,,,,Side by Side, I doubt anyone would be able to tell them apart. The Legend MP-40 is ALL Metal!!!, and weighs about the same as one of our old SMG's, I would Absolutely Recommend This to ANYONE who loves a High Quality "Shooter".

    Things I would have changed:

The One & Only Thing that I would recommend attention to is the Magazine Spring,,,,Just a "Tad" stronger would make this "Shooter" a 10+!!!

    What others should know:

Although Recommended,,,,,H&N "Excite" Smart-Shot BB's are a Touch too heavy for the Magazine,,,,,,The Gun "Rocks" w/ regular 5+gr,. BB's,,,,Using Daisy Zinc coated BB's gave me One-Ragged Hole Groupings per magazine, and is Equally Accurate in Either Semi,. or Full Auto,.,,,,,This Shooter being ALL-METAL is Heavy!,,,,,Just as Heavy as the Real Deal!,,,There are places in the weapon for a Sling,,,,Take advantage of them!!!, and get yourself a Sling,,,,As near to the "Original" as Possible to Complete the Effect!,,,,,I can Pretty Much Say that you'll be Smiling from "Ear to Ear" with this Fantastic "Replication" of the Real MP-40!!!

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 2.02.0 2.0

    Things I liked:

Realism and attention to detail! This could EASILY be mistaken for the real deal. Realistic weight and mechanical function should entice any of the replica fans! If you want "bragging" rights, the WOW factor is AWESOME!

    Things I would have changed:

Sadly, this is WOEFULLY underpowered. MAYBE the first couple of shots approach the velocities stated, but ANY attempt to use the full-auto feature results in power dropping off RAPIDLY! While I realize that this is common a trait of ANY co2 powered system, this air gun seems to be more prone to power loss. I also have a full-auto Beretta 92 and the Broomhandle Mauser replica that don't seem to suffer from this "syndrome" nearly as badly.

    What others should know:

The gun itself is superbly made and will provide hours of "fondling" enjoyment. Aside from the critique of being underpowered, expect to need to "fine-tune" the feed port of the magazine to get the gun to function at all. Right out of the box there were some rough edges in the feed port that would not allow the BB's to pass. I little LIGHT smoothing of the surface and the feeding was drastically improved. THIS GUN IS A GAS HOG-buy loads of co2 if you actually want to shoot it! I could get little more than one magazine's worth of shooting with 2 co2's. It is great for "killing" attacking cereal boxes at 10 feet (as demonstrated on another website's video). I STILL LIKE the gun, its just a TOY!

    Things I liked:

Very heavy, feels real and comes in a nice box and is single or full auto and will dump all 30 bb's in one pull (sick). The co2 life is not that bad either, about 2-1/2 mag bb loads for the twin cartridges.

    Things I would have changed:

Larger print on the manual, plunger lock on magazine to load bb's, less expensive extra mags, but this will never happen.

    What others should know:

The gun is awesome and fun to shoot, the co2 cartridges load kind of weird but seem to work fine and need to be tightened real tight to pierce both. To load the bb;s, it not to difficult because the filler hole is large but you need to hold the plunger with you finger cause there is no lock slot. The gun is extremely accurate for a bb gun even in full auto. Only shot two magazines through it so far and no problems but will continue to shoot in case a problem occurs during return time. Keep every thing lubed and make sure the cocking lever is fully forward after your last shot. Even if the safety is on and you insert a loaded magazine in to the gun, it will discharge a bb, a hole in my wall is proof of that. I guess I am the first to review this gun, and it is sure to please.

    Things I liked:

This is a fairly heavy gun and it feels very solid. The fit and finish on this gun is top notch. I just received this gun today and have already used up 8 CO2 cartridges. It's pretty accurate at about 20 yards. The best part is firing in full auto. That never gets old.

    Things I would have changed:

There's really not much I can think of that I'd change on this, all of the controls function with a good solid click and it feels like it's built with high quality materials.

    What others should know:

Buy lots of CO2 cartridges! It does go thru CO2 gas on full auto fast and you'll want to use it on the full auto setting a lot! It's great fun and worth the money.

    Things I liked:

The MP40 is a real pleasant surprise. It exceeded my expectations. The fit and finish along with the weight and feel of the gun is excellent! It is surprising accurate for a BB gun. While I haven't put it through my chronograph, it's shooting straight and hitting the target hard at 15 yards. I'm a springer fan and use to shooting my higher priced pellet air guns such as my HW97K, Beeman R9, RWS 48, and RWS K98. All of which can shoot one hole accuracy at 15 yds. The MP40 is not that type of air gun, but for much less than 1/2 the price, it's not only an excellent replica, it's a whole lot of fun to shoot!

    Things I would have changed:

I wish the retention spring for the bb's had a notch that would lock it in place for loading. As it is, you have to hold it back with your finger when loading the bb's. Not a big deal, just makes it a little awkward.

    What others should know:

The MP40 is an excellent value for the money. I'd highly recommend buying CO2 cartridges in the 40 pack. The temptation to shoot this gun on full auto is strong. Although with the blow back effect, even the semi auto is a hoot.
