Things I liked:

Rifle it self seemed well built.

Things I would have changed:

Rear sight had to much play in it. It wobbled left to right.

What others should know:

If you do not plan to scope sight it, maintaining sighting zero looks to be a problem. I returned the rifle.

    Things I liked:

Established firearms company. Great price Well contoured and solid polymer stock, with but pad. Good balance. Accurate with the right pellets (H&N Barracuda Extreme). Excellent fitment and lines. Fiber optic sights are high performance, but I have utilized the dovetail scope mount. Solid metal reciever and barrel. Automatic tang mounted safety is easy to accuate. Solid targer performer and excellent hunter.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger needs attention. Consider reducing weight, it is a heavy air rifle.

    What others should know:

Much like all the reviews already say; The rifle is heavy and hard to cock. Trigger is not conducive to accuracy. If you can see past those minor issues, its a fantastic rifle for the price. Sends pellets with authority. Perfect for pest control and plinking. I would recommend this rifle to mature and veteran shooters, probably not for children or strength challenged people.

    Things I liked:

In the initial break in of about 150 pellets, I really liked the balance and palm swell of the synthetic stock. It really is a Black Beauty, the bluing is a deep luster of blue-black finish. The Parrus is a beefy rifle at first, but got lighter and easily wielded as the day progressed in bench rest and of hand trials as I got used to it. The stock seems shinier on the top half where the receiver sits, and well proportioned palmswell whereby cradling the rifle is in perfect balance, the stock is slightly duller on the under belly being a little more rough, it makes sense since it is bench rested or carried. Cocking got easier within the first hour, not wanting to lube or scope it until after the initial trial of various pellets. I just wanted to see want it could do. I like the overall build quality of the rifle and for the price point that it is, if nothing goes wrong, is a Great Value, the best value from Pyramyd Air. Customer service was awesome as was the delivery time of 6 days.

    Things I would have changed:

The Parrus is configured in synthetic, designed to be a work horse, it's very practical. I would change the front & rear sights to a solid beefier aftermarket metal with bright dots like those on a Glock. Plastic illuminated pieces detract from the beauty of the Parrus. I would change the receiver end cap from a 2 piece plastic cap to all metal where the almost perfect safety is, it should be metal as I wish the trigger guard were metal. I didn't realize the rifle is 1300fps rated, Wow Wheee!! I thought how could I carry this well balanced long rifle in the field comfortably? What sling & QD hardware could be used? The trigger face & crisp pull is almost perfect, I wouldn't change it till I get to know her better. Because it's a magnum I'd change the warranty to limited lifetime and repair. I heard tell they aren't gonna make these .177's anymore, if that's true, I have a nice piece of the pie (rumors?) Awesome Nice Gun. Customer service is HiTech & Professional in comparison to others

    What others should know:

Break-in period will be long to mellow out the Parrus, I can only see it getting better as it sets ages. Within the first 15-40 .177 pellets, dieseling occurred. Going to a heavier 10.4 grain diabolo helped quiet and slowed the pellets from going supersonic like a 22LR. A moderator would help keep the bark down, it would need to match the recoil and beefiness of the Parrus. A scope would need to be beefy to match the fast clean shot cycle. Man what a nice action, it is hard to cock at first, 'got easier though. The gun is a laser 35meters or under, haven't tried it farther, seems silly beyond 40meters. It's a springer, you need to hold it like a springer and not choke hold it to shoot. Why would Walther build a 1/2" UNF if there ain't a matching moderator to survive the gun? You will definitely receive your appreciated value. My first time customer service and delivery was stellar, as was my advisor Carter D. Ontario Canada. PJ Clark fr: DonnyFL recommended P.A. Glad I listened.

    Things I liked:

My Walther Parrus is extremely accurate and a fantastic backyard plinker. I have not used it for pest removal, but I am sure it would make for an excellent air rifle for that as well. It is relatively quiet, and the recoil is of course nothing like even a small centerfire or rimfire rifle, but there is a kind of shake when you shoot it. I am not used to air rifles, and that has been something interesting to get accustomed to. The rifle is extremely accurate and at approximately 20 yards, it shoots the pellets that came with it into a single hole. It came beautifully packaged in a cardboard box that came inside a second box for safety reasons from Pyramid Air, and the delivery was earlier than they told me it would be. Add to this the discounted price and the pellets that came with it, and I think I got a fantastic deal!

    Things I would have changed:

The gun is VERY heavy. I guess the steel cylinder and piston make it that way. It was quite a surprise to feel the weight when I lifted it up the first time. It is also long. I don't mind the length, as it is a backyard plinker, but the weight does bother my 13 year old after a while. I am not sure I would be able to change anything, but I guess I'll buy a second air rifle that is lighter from Pyramid Air in the near future.

    What others should know:

This is a very nice budget air rifle. Pyramid Air's price was the lowest that I found online, and even though I had never bought from them before, I signed up with them and they sent me a discount coupon that made an already great deal even better. I am not an expert and won't try to tell experienced airgunners anything other than that I am very happy with my purchase. I have an in the packaging Walther 4x32 scope that I will use on it. I bought the scope for a similar discounted offer from a different seller more than a year ago. Pyramid Air have bundle offers with variable powered scopes etc but I am not sure why anyone would use one of those with an air rifle that you're not likely to shoot at more than 25 or 30 yards most of the time, unless you're into serious paper-punching and want to experiment with moving groups on the target and stuff like that.

    What others should know:

Thought I might settle for something less powerful, The extra weight is really not an issue. This is so easy to use, cocking is effortless, so why go weaker? Price is excellent.

Very accurate and powerful at a great price! quality German manufactured gun ..

    Things I would have changed:

Needs sling swivels very heavy to carry around outdoors without a sling!

    What others should know:

Gun is heavy around 9lbs scoped, and cocking effort is also on the heavy side. Purchased in .177 caliber and found it to have plenty of power for small game, not very backyard friendly especially with light pellets has a pretty loud crack when fired similar to a .22 rim fire! Found the gun to be extremely accurate if you want a good quality German made gun at a great close out price you will not go wrong with this one!

It's a high power pellet rifle that shoots rws super h point pellets at over the speed of sound it's kinda odd to hear the pellet break the sound barrier without the explosion of gunpowder when the pellet leaves the barrel it's kinda heavy 9.3 pounds with synthetic stock and it comes with a limited lifetime warranty against defects so if it breaks due to mechanical failure repairs are free as long as I pay shipping and handling whether it breaks tomorrow or 20 years from now

    Things I liked:

This is so well built, feels solid, very nice finish, locks up tight, very accurate, only moderate cocking effort (less than some other guns which have less power), It is heavy (9 plus pounds), but that makes for a steadier hold. The sights are very nice and adjustments are precise. Best of all, how can you go wrong with a very high quality rifle, built in Germany for $149? I got 1135 fps using 7.9g pellets, and the trigger pull is 3 and a half pounds with a very smooth feel.

    Things I would have changed:

The directions on where to apply the oil to the spring for normal maintenance could be a little clearer.

    What others should know:

I received the gun in 3 days from Pyramid Air. It was packed very well and looked like it had not been opened since it was sent out of Germany. The description says it is German engineered, which may lead you to believe it was developed in Germany and built in China. That is not the case. These are built in Germany and engraved as such on the rifle. The negative comments on the trigger pull must have been from earlier production batches because mine was very nice.

    Things I would have changed:

Quality control could be a little better. The barrel had some blemishes that surprised me considering the Walther name and history of quality.

    What others should know:

Awesome magnum springer for the money, a bit on the loud side but still good for plinking and small pest cotrol.

    Things I liked:

I did a bit of research for my first airgun. The point was to hit an object first before blowing it to kingdom come and was looking more into the competitive nature of the hobby. Hunting isn't my thing. So I looked towards Olympic shooters (who by the way are the best airgun shooters on the planet) and what equipment they use. Walther makes Olympic rifles for national teams and German engineering, as everyone knows, is second to none. Machining is fantastic and tolerances are precise. Decided I was going with this German engineered .177 rifle with a flat trajectory and something I could give my grandson when the day comes . I also needed the ammo to be affordable and easily acquired (.22 is always sold out. lol). Having a prepper mindset, I wanted a rifle that wasn't reliant on CO2 and having to pay for a recharge every time. So I got the Parrus with a discount coupon. Damn, son! This rifle hits hard and true at 30 yards with stock sights! Great price!

    Things I would have changed:

A camo version would be badass

    What others should know:

This thing is a bit on the loud side (like a pneumatic nail gun) so jumpy neighbors might call 911 on you if you use it for backyard plinking in an urban area. Cocking is hard at first (need both hands) but smoothens out after 200 rounds. It's got a bit of recoil but no sweat. This gun can humanely take out small game with a headshot minimum 30 yards with the right ammo.

    Things I liked:

I like the fit and finish of the rifle,I was thinking that the composite stock would turn me off but it really feels good. It has a lot of power and you can feel it. My rifle is not hold or pellet picky. I cleaned the barrel when I got it and checked the barrel with a bore light, the rifleing looked real good.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger pull is heavy, I`d guess about 4.5 to 5 lb. but I`m sure it will lighten up after a while. If not the Web is full of tricks I don`t care for the iron sites, To hard for my old eyes to focus on.

    What others should know:

If your looking for a family shooter this is not for you. It`s a hunting rifle heavy to cock and a stout recoil. I shoot mine about 30 rds. a day to break it in and then switch to another gun. I really like mine alot and I`m thinking bout getting one in .22.

    Things I liked:

Mine was synthetic.177 cal. I like The design and feel of the gun. Loved the synthetic stock. The raised comb was perfect for a scope. The price was amazing for $159 and I really wanted to keep it for my wife but read below.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is terrible. I have a 350 N-Tec and Sig ASP20 and Gamo whisper fusion 10x Gen 2 and all of these are 10 times better than this trigger. It has a very heave long pull making it impossible to obtain any kinds of accuracy. Most everyone mounts a scope to these guns so it would be nice to have a better mounting surface. This type of dovetail is extremely inefficient for mounting scopes. Especially with the kind of power and vibration associated with the gun. Had to loktite the threaded barrel tip to keep it on. With a good trigger and a gas piston to tame the recoil this would have been a top springer.

    What others should know:

Loved the gun but found no way to modify the trigger other than the tiny screw which didn't make much difference. Unlike other guns which allow custom modifications I could find none on this gun.

    Things I liked:

Right out of the box open sights 1st shot dead center bulls eye. (50 ft) Even had a little smoke from oil like a powder burner and a report of the high speed pellet that surprised me because this is my first air rifle excluding a BB gun when a boy. I had a shocking surprise that put a smile on my face like a kid with his first BB gun. I'm 73 had a lot of firearms in my life and rate this one as one of the best for shooting and small game hunting. Heft and feel of a powder burner .

    Things I would have changed:

    Not a thing .

    What others should know:

For me when shooting I rest the rifle in the palm of my hand and hold my thumb and fingers up so there is no side ways moment but do not apply any pressure so to help keep everything as consistent in the hold as possible. I feel this helps improve better groups along with breathing and trigger release.

    Things I liked:

Very solid build and excellent workmanship. Very accurate and does not have the dreaded barrel droop. Stock shape is well designed, the synthetic stock is vey scratch resistant and has a great feel to it.

    Things I would have changed:

The front sight has a thin fiber optic pipe to highlight the sight. It is uncovered and exactly where you will grab the barrel to cock the rifle. Broke mine very quickly, maybe in the first twenty shots. They could put a slotted metal cage over the sight pipe to protect it.

    What others should know:

It is heavy. Just know this is not a rifle you will prefer to shoot free-standing. Settling with it rested, it is so solid and accurate. Must use artillery hold. I am 60 years old, 145 pounds and in decent shape for an old man. It is not nearly as hard to cock as some YouTubes say. I start feeling it after 20-30 consecutive shots.
