Things I liked:

I waited to buy this version and glad I did. Not that it is probably better than the original but I prefer the weathered look. And it comes with a leather strap that I was going to buy anyway. This gun performs well, very accurate and reliable. From what I can determine the magazine is the same as the originals with no follower catch. I use Daisy Premium BBS and Crosman CO2. I bought a 5" Allen wrench for screwing down CO2 nut. The one in the box was too short for me-not enough torque.Just a couple of jams but easily cleared with a recharge of the bolt. I actually find that adds to the realism as the real guns were not perfect either. I did change the sling to the right side for more realism (imho) but either side works well. Overall very happy with my purchase

Things I would have changed:

Magazine follower catch.

What others should know:

I found using my index finger pulling straight back works the best for loading. Also before loading first CO2 cartridges screw the nut as far as it will go to the stop. that will give an idea how far down it needs to go and the feel to puncture both cartridges. I lightly silicone sprayed the magazine spring and follower. Also, the end of the shoulder stock as that the folding shoulder piece was a bit tight.

Things I liked:

Liked the folding stalk, the leather sling and the feel of the gun. Was heavier than I expected which made it seem realistic.

Things I would have changed:

Find a way to make the bb's shoot every time you shoot the gun. Wasting Co2 when it doesn't shoot, especially on full auto.

What others should know:

I would not purchase this gun. Returned it due to continuous misfiring. Fires but no BB's come out. BB's get jammed in either clip or chamber.

    Things I liked:

The overall design of this mp40 is nice well built nice and solid. I did like the amount of shots i got per 2 co2 cartridges is nice over 200 which is nice especially in full auto. And the sling with this combo is nice accurate to the one used with real mp40 which does give it a more accurate look

    Things I would have changed:

Things i would change is to make the instructions a bit more clear on how to put sling on they are confusing on how it goes luckily i found a youtube video.

    What others should know:

It's a good replica and it's pretty well built would recommended.

    The gun is beautiful

    Things I would have changed:

Make sure the magazines are good. Mine would not hold air. I ordered another magazine and hope it arrives soon. Anxious to fire it.

    What others should know:

I have most of the Legends collection. Beautiful air guns. Wish they would make better seals for the magazines.

    Things I liked:

I like how accurate and powerful this air gun is. I was able to punch straight through a quality street candy tin on full auto while all the rest of my guns could only dent it. From about 7 yards, this thing packs a tight 1-inch group on semi-auto. The piece both looks and feels great in comparison to the real deal. Being quite hefty, with its almost full metal construction, makes it a very satisfying piece to both hold and admire its sight. Overall, I am very happy with it.

    Things I would have changed:

At the beginning, I did experience some feeding issues with the magazine, but over time, it seemed to sort itself out. Maybe try and design a magazine or receiver that isn't so fussy with how old or corroded your bbs are, because I've used the same ammo type in different guns, and have never had any cycling failures with those ones. Only this one.

    Things I would have changed:

Needs a catch on the follower.

    What others should know:

After shooting 4 mags the follower failed to push the bb's up. You must neatly load the bb's in a double stack or zigzag fashion. I returned the magazine to Pyramyd and am waiting to see if they will replace it.

I like this gun very much. Semi/full auto feature is great. Using full auto is a blast. Very solid fell to gun and magazines.

    Things I would have changed:

Loading the magazines with bbs is kinda tedious. If only some sort of follower lock could be incorporated into the magazine to keep loading port open while filling with bbs. And what about a PCP conversion?

    What others should know:

So far this Gun has worked very well. Have been using Crosman red head bbs and had a few feeding hang ups easily dealt with by cycling the bolt or taking the magazine out, relieving the tension on follower spring a a quick shake up and down of magazine to realign the column of bbs.

    Things I liked:

Overall weight and appearance. This was a birthday present for the missus, and it's been a real hoot. We all enjoy the shooting sports and, while we are located on 20 acres, the cost of target shooting with "firearms" can be intimidating. This is our latest air-gun acquisition and definitely our favorite. Obviously not the most accurate on full auto but not all that bad for a BB gun on semi auto. Let's be real. Anyone purchasing this is after the full auto capability anyway and it's a real blast (pun intended)

    Things I would have changed:

Just received it yesterday so no long term assessment. It would be helpful if the magazine spring had some type of "keeper" to hold it back for reloading. You'll be doing LOTS of reloading. I thought about additional magazines (available); however, you're not supposed to store this with CO2 cartridges inserted, so it's pretty much "load 'n' go". I also have a concern about "spring fatigue" to leave it loaded for any length of time. Finally, some reviews say they get 160 shots or so with 2 CO2 cartridges. So far we're a little over 100 - 120. But I've also had a couple instances where I didn't completely pierce both.

    What others should know:

Off hand I can't think of anything that would be as much fun for a couple hundred bucks. Will definitely be looking at more of the Umarex Legends.

    Things I liked:

The construction of the unit. The fact that the CO2 cartridges don't lose volume when the unit sits idle for a period of time. I also like the capacity of the unit being 52 bbs.

    Things I would have changed:

When loading the BBs, it would be great to have a stop for the spring so you don't have to hold the spring back at the same time you load in more bbs

    What others should know:

    that's it

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

This is a nice replica and the weathered look is quite good. It has a nice heaviness to it also. It is everything I expected in look, function and feel. It is a blast to shoot full auto. The leather strap in stout and holds it position when adjusted. The 5 in the overall rating - It is a nice replica in weight and construction and the cool factor alone is worth a 5

    Things I would have changed:

The safety, semi-auto, full-auto sliding tab is not easy to move. I worry sometimes when I have to bear down on it to make it slide because it is plastic. The magazine does not have a catch to hold the spring back while you load the 40 BBs. Holding that spring back it tough on your finger and it makes loading BBs without losing some tedious.

    What others should know:

It is not barn burner in the accuracy department. If you watch a couple of the videos they quite fairly show this. It is 2+ inches at 10yrs and spread that to 5-7+ inches in full auto. The leather strap is quite stiff. That being said I expect it will wear in with some oil and use in due time. My example does not like the Copperheads that I purchased and it would jam in both semi and full auto. I shot 2 different types of steel BBs and they worked just fine.

Solid and well built. Very accredited right out of the box up to 30ft with Black Diamond BBs.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much. The leather strap is awkward but acceptable. Go even more weathered!

    What others should know:

Make sure that it is stated that Crosman (and a few other) CO2 12gr cartridges are shorter and may allow for over tightening, leading to a crushed O ring and subsequently leaks. Bought the 40 pack of the Umerex cartridges. No issues. Pick up a 2nd magazine and save yourself shipping when you realize 2 magazines= 2x more fun. Read Tom Gaylords article for good info.

this gun is built very well and accurate, HEAVY metal construction very solid and tight feeling.

    Things I would have changed:

loading the clip is not easy, I made a retainer out of a coat hanger, that hooks the lodeing slide, when pulled up it hooks over the end of the mag. yo hold it open. use ONLY STEEL high quality BBs

    What others should know:

gun is as real as it gets, well made and accurate, only complaint is hard to load BBs.

    Great feel, REAL metal...

    Things I would have changed:

The BB's in magazine HAVE TO BE STAGGERED (Like in real magazine or it will skip / not fire: Like stuck) Just move the spring slightly and it will re-align and go. Burns up CO2 that way though.

    What others should know:

    Things I liked:

Excellent accuracy, weathered look really looks nice and the weight of the gun is perfect. The leather strap is a must have! Shoots straight and consistent about 2.5 rounds of ammo until changing co2 is necessary which isn't bad.

    Things I would have changed:

Loading bb's takes some effort but with a little passion its quick. Co2 seems to run out fast when using full auto but man its a blast. Loosening the Co2 compartment with the tool key can be a task and takes great strength sometimes.

    Things I liked:

Love the weight, look and feel of this gun. Surprisingly good accuracy for what it is. The fun of this gun is all about the full auto action and the look sound and feel while shooting in full auto. Semi auto's fine for trying to group shots. I was even able to land a bunch first time I tried in full auto on target. First set of 2 C02 cartridges were good for 5 1/2 full loads. I have had no problem with and sort of jamming even when magazine loaded right up with 50 plus BB's. So I was able to clear 250+ BB's on 1 set of cartridges. Others have claimed much less, but maybe because my magazine is still new with little to no leakage.

    Things I would have changed:

I would have liked to see even more "weathering" on this "weathered/aged" gun. I was expecting it to be more weathered than it is, in fact I was originally concerned it may be too weathered looking but that obviously was not the case. I was thinking there might even be some pitting and scratches, I guess you can't please everybody. Magazine not weathered at all.

    What others should know:

Other than wishing for more weathering on the gun, I have no other complaints at all. I love this beautifully detailed replica of this iconic WWII weapon.

Just about everything, fun to shoot

    Things I would have changed:

have a magazine spring catch so the mag stays open when loading bbs. What a pain. I just bent a small wire to hold it open. That made it much easier and faster to reload the mags.

    What others should know:

First tried with Crosman Copperhead bbs. Many jams per magazine. Frustrating, made it no fun to shoot. Was wasting a lot of CO2 pressure because of the jamming (only 2 clips thru gun per 2 co2 cartridges). Switched over to Umarex Black Diamond Steel BBs .... the problem with bbs jamming in the magazines disappeared. Mags thru gun on Co2 cartridges increased too (shot 3-1/2 clips decently (pressure/speed wise) on 2 co2 cartridges and all 4 clips emptied but last half of last magazine came out without much velocity). Get an Umarex Universal Steel BB Speedloader, makes it much easier and faster to load the mags. Speedloader adapters don't work with these magazines but with a little practice loads magazines just fine.

I would put a stronger spring in the magazine to push the BBs up faster with the copper BBs you have to turn it sideways in order for it to feed fast.Steel BBs seem to fade quicker through the magazine
