Wicked Ridge rdx 400, best rdx bang for the buck!

I am hooked on the rdx, reverse draw design lending to balance and small footprint for my predominant ground blind whitetail hunting. Approximately 1 month ago I parted ways with my old faithful Horton vision 175 rdx. 10 yrs on this bow, zero problems, replacing only cables and strings, pushing 295 fps, 95 lbs kinetic energy. Wanted to step up fps and kinetic energy, ease of cocking, in same/simular configuration. Wicked Ridge rdx 400 checked all my boxes. With basically the same hunting arrow set up, I'm now in the 380 fps and 145 lb kinetic energy range. I opted fo the acudraw pro and acutorq crank as my choice for cocking the bow. Could not be happier with my choices. Top this rig off with your personal preference of optics get ready to be amazed. In the last couple weeks of ownership I've experienced first hand TenPoint's awesome customer service/support. It's some of the best cs I've ever experienced. I have not been compensated in any way for this review. Just my honest impressions so far. Don't just take my word for it, check the forums and reviews, if you're looking for the best bang for your buck, in a reverse draw design, look no further.

Nice bow, but reliability may be an issue

After no more than 40-45 shots the right limb started coming apart shortly after cocking for a morning hunt. The limb almost completely broke near the Y before I could get it de-cocked.

Limbs broke after 15 shots. Sent it back at my expense. ACUDRAW PRO broke after 30 shots. Tenpoint wanted the entire bow back for the ACUDRAW.... after a lengthy (heated) conversation on the phone they agreed to just replace the ACUDRAW.

Nice and compact. Got my first crossbow deer this year using it.

    RDX 400 operation

Very well balanced for the overall weight. Smooth operation. Consistent shots.

This Crossbow is just right for grandpa!

So far I am well pleased. I did not bring any meat home yet!!

    Great bow, small issues.

Extremely fast. The Accu draw is noisy, creaks and cracks when cranking. Support says that's normal! I did have to replace the string on the Accu draw as it had a bit of fray. Other than those few issues, great bow.

    RDX 400 by Wicked Ridge

The only complaint is that the cam that holds the lock switch for the cranking cock mechanism was bent. It seemed to be made of soft metal and suggest it be replaced with a steel part.

    Bad limbs

Had this bow for 1 year and it was in the shop 2 times last time it was for 3 months.

    RDX400

My RDX400 is what I was looking for in a crossbow. It’s fast, accurate & relatively compact. With the reverse draw it balances nicely. One & only improvement would be to lengthen the foot stirrup a bit so your broadhead would not extend past the stirrup so broadhead tip would not hit the ground/dirt when bow is upright. 1/2” may be all that’s needed. Great crossbow for the money!!

    Not impressed

I'll only give this product a 2 star rating because, The price was a little high. I did like the speed and accuracy of the RDX 400. But the fact that you have to use your outrageously priced bolts is a huge turn off. And since I'm on the subject of your bolts that I bought with the lighted nocks that when shot out of the crossbow the nocks flew out of the bolt never to be found again.

    Rdx400

Great crossbow was a big parker fan till now. Would have given it 5 stars if the finish held up better. Owned my parker for 3 years finish held up. Owned the rxd400 for 4 months looks like ive owned it for years.

    Excellent purchase

Surpassed expectations. The acudraw pro is quick, easy and quiet! Very accurate and fast shooting crossbow. Well worth the money

    Warranty Disappointment

My RDX shoots great only giving 3 start because the string broke less than a week after getting the bow. I find it a bit ridiculous they are not covered on a brand new bow.

Yep better than I could of asked for

I must say I am not much at writing reviews, but I extremely happy with this so I thought I would give it a try , I am a avid hunter , I spend as much time in the woods as possible, I had spinal fusion at the age of 57 , and the core is still not back to normal so I needed to pick a crossbow with a good balance , conventional crossbows just feel front heavy to me , but I did not want to brake the bank so I got on the internet to do some research and found the RDX and was very Surprised to See it was exactly what I was looking for . I got it at Christmas and spend some time getting used to it over the summer, and will say it’s as sweet shooting it as my Tika 3 308 . I took it out the opening week of archery, deer were just to small and a hog had the bad luck to come my way , it was a 40 yard shot , bolt was rite were I aimed , the hog ran about 20 yards and dropped , it was a clean kill the bolt went straight threw him in short no problems at all with it , and looking forward to using it again

Need a larger foot stirrup as the picture showed I

I only wish that my RDX 400 would have come with the larger foot stirrup rather than the small one. The pictures of the bow I saw before I bought this bow showed a larger style. The only reason I wish I had the larger one is because the quiver hits when the bow is laid down. That part I don't like.
