Great value if you need a bunch of pellets to break in your rifle. I took a micrometer to a dozen of the pellets to check them very closely. (averaged .2165 nose and .2205 skirt). They checked out reasonably well, out of a dozen checked, none were undersized. The new series of Crossman premier domes which had been purchased previously had about 1 pellet in ten undersized, so it seemed sensible to check the Piranha.
Things I would have changed:Accuracy, Accuracy, Accuracy. I have two air rifles (train np2 and Regal II np) which shoot the RWS superdome, Benjamin Destroyer, and the old Crossman premier dome pellets interchangeably without a scope adjustment. They group about 1/2 inch center to center at 25 meters. However, these pellets did something quite strange. They grouped, but about two inches to the right and two and a half inches down from where any other pellet grouped. I thought perhaps my scope had been bumped, so I switched back to the RWS superdome. The superdome immediately put three consecutive shots in the center of the bullseye. I switched back to the piranha, and the same low-right groupings which were seen before. Quite frankly, I don't want to deal with a 32 click vertical and horizontal adjustment just to use these pellets. I almost wonder if they are spiraling in, but can't quite catch it at (roughly) 800 feet per second.
What others should know:The usual cautions, some airguns, even other Regal II NP and Trail NP2 may love these pellets. The two I have seem to actively dislike these pellets. I really cannot explain it, as the skirts appeared undented and the size of the skirt and nose of the pellets seemed to fit the bores of the rifles quite well.

Very accurate in my hatsan 95 gas vortex Hit very hard, and shoot very straight Look cool lol
Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:These pellets are fantastic! They fit tight in the bore of my hatsan 95, and hit very consistently.
They take down birds fast and humanely.
And I'm sure other small game no problem!

look cool
Things I would have changed:these are some of the least accurate pellets i have ever shot out of my Benjamine disco. I have mainly shot the premeir hollow points but i saw these and tried them and the groups were terrible compaired to the original hollow points i shoot
What others should know:super DUPER inaccurate

Regular premier pellets are below 10$ for 500. And they do bridge a gap as an ecomical pellet that will produce consistent shooting inside 30 yards. these are a lesser pellet and above 10$ for 400. If you want them for a springer or a pump they are fine. And of the big box store choices the premier line is the best. But you are on a site reviewing pellets that offers the best of the best
Things I would have changed:This is nothing but a regular premier with some marketing flare. The cut outs in the hollow point are to shallow to change anything but selling more pellets. They will shoot similar to the premier but the flyers are more frequent and pronounced. Standard premier is usually a sub 1 " pellet inside 30 yards 5 5 round groups at 20 yards out of an mrod. 22 each of the groups would hold 4/5 inside an inch with every Flyer being a zinger 2 to 3 inches off. Outside 30 it really opens up.
What others should know:These are not jsb, h&n, or aa pellets for sure but if you want an ecomical pellet get the standard domed premier nether hollow point will shoot as consistently.and the hollow point is not deep enough to matter
The whole reason I got away from spring guns was to get rid of inconsistent shots and not being able to have a scope hold zero for long.
I bought a marauder .22 for precision and that's what I got.So spending extra coin on European pellets is fine by me. A few cents a shot more for a ragged hole at 50 yards totally worth it.
Stick to heavier than the norm pellets with as high a ballistic coefficient as you can find and get the chairgun app.

Very accurate, good weight, not too heavy and not too light
Things I would have changed:Nothing the weight is just right for my Benjamin Trail NP2 .22
What others should know:I purchased a brand new Benjamin Trail NP2 .22 a few weeks ago, after I broke it in I was looking for a pellet that would give me small groupings, I have tried H&N's domed, hollow, the Terminator pellet, Crosman domed, hollow points and this one the Piranha, this one gave me ragged holes in a paper target, it is now the one for me and the Trail NP2 ,22 my search for the one is over....

expansion on impact
Things I would have changed:quality does not seem to be as good as premiers. I had feeding issues and jams in magazine- catches the lip around the head of the pellet
What others should know:I had issues with the lip of the pellet catching my marauder 10 Rd mag.

The expansion of the pellet was really great. Hard hitting. Head sizes looked very similar to other undamaged pellets.
Things I would have changed:Either I just got unlucky and put picked a bad tin off the shelf or crosman needs to step up their quality control. A large number of pellets were damaged. Skirts were pinch and there were groves/indentations running along the pellets. It looked like there was extra weights placed on top of the pellets before packaging. Quality control and accuracy are the two biggest things that should be corrected.
What others should know:I've had a lot of trouble getting these pellets to group beyond 20 yards. At 20 yards groups are under 1 inch which is good for back yard pest control and backyard small game hunting. At about 30 yards I start getting really wide grouping 1-3 inches. That's even with sorting the good pellets away from the bad and using my .22 marauder. I think these pellets should be used for incredibly short ranges no more than 20 yards and for less skittish critters so you can really get up close and personal.

Very functional design, looks like it is ready to bite. The 14.39 grain weight is excellent. All of Crosman premier .22 pellets are no heavier than 14.3 grains for the reason that they are that good and there is no point in producing a lighter or heavier pellet. They are my first choice when the shot is on the line. My weapon of choice I s the Umarex Octane .22 caliber magnum which I did replace the breech seal and added shims. That did increase velocity and power quite noticeably, it is a beast in all aspects. I also have 12 other brands is .22 pellets that are either heavier or lighter in grains, the Premiers are the ones that I compare all others to. I also have a Gamo Big Cat 1250 in .177 caliber. Awesome and accurate weapon. Crosman Premiers in 7.4, 7.9, and 10.5 grains that Big Cat loves them. I. Also have other brand pellets in that caliber also but the Crosmans are my first choice to shoot. Crosman has nothing to prove here. Where can you get a tin of 500 for less than $10.
Things I would have changed:Absolutely nothing.
What others should know:I am 65 yrs old andi have been shooting air rifles since 1965. My first air rifle was a Crosman 660 pumper BB/Pellet. My second was a Crosman 2200 in .22 cal. I bought
in 1978. I also have a Beeman RS2 Kodiak dual caliber, not my favorite due to accuracy issues regardless of pellet type. I strongly believe that the Beeman's barrels are not good for high velocity. I do test velocities with a chronograph. This rating is from

Straight Shootin' Pellet. Hollow point, 14.39 grains, Star points fragment easier than typical round tip hollow point pellets.
Things I would have changed:Little heavier around 18grains my guns seem to like best
What others should know:I place Crosman Piranha Pellets in my top 10 list.
Performed well against JSB Exact .22, H&N Crow Magnum hollow point 18.21grain 2 of my favorite pellets
