4 of 4 Beeman Teton NS Air Rifle, RS1 Trigger Reviews
solid good looking rifle. power a plenty.
Things I Would Have Changedthe sights are not very good. im going to toss the scope and rear sight. and install a mendoza appeture sight with target knobs.
What Others Should KnowI think its a bit hard to cock. but thats just me. Look for at least a 500 rd breakin period. This is a powerfull full sized springer rifle. not for kjds I think. And it does dance about with you on discharge. It will take while for the rifle to settle down and start shooting decent groups. Chi -com air rifles seem to be pot luck. IF you get a good one its a real bargin and your tickled to death with it or you get a lemon and end up returning it. I think there are more good ones than lemons. Its worth your time and effort too try one. With good sights and pellets it likes you can come out meeting your air gunner needs for $100 or more less than the europian guns.
This rifle is a bargain for the price, magnum power, over 1200 fps with Gamo PBA ammunition. This rifle also has an easy cocking effort at only 30 lbs.If your used to shooting springers you can shoot all day and not tire your arm out . This rifle also features a beautifully stained European hardwood stock, groups covering a nickel at 15 yards. It's also a Beeman, great value overall.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe rifle was made in China, Although the rifle performs probably just as well as some higher priced German and Italian models, the manufacturing in China lacks the precision in producing high quality all steel triggers and barrell construction.
What Others Should KnowThis is an adult air rifle, being that the dimensions are probably to large for younger shooters, It is also deadly powerful shooting at 1000fps with lead pellets and 1250fps with PBA ammo, so be careful. This is a perfect hunting or plinking gun. However if you are going to hunt with this gun, shots should be kept within 30 yards for the best consistence and clean kills.
very disappointed with this product
Things I Would Have Changedchoose a crosman or gamo similar rifle they are cheaper and work better

I have been comparing springers under $200 and best for the buck this one is in 3rd place behind crossman quest for $89 in second and the avenger 1100 at $149 in first. The beeman might have a little more power but it recoils very hard and is very hard to cock in comparison to the avenger 1100, especially at the end to the cock. It has a very nice finish, but more plastic parts than the crossman and the avenger has no plastic parts I can find. The Avenger 1100 shoots much tighter groups and is so much smoother in every way.
Things I Would Have ChangedCrappy sights and don't get the combo, buy a leapers 3-9x32 $44 or better still, a centerpoint 3-9x40, ($49 not in package, reg $69 in package)
What Others Should KnowI think it weighs more the Pyramyd says, more like 8.5 lbs.
