4 of 4 Blue Book of Airguns, 12th Reviews
All I can say is WOW!! I purchased this from PA and have spent hours looking through it. The book has the history of all airgun manufactures which I found particularly interesting. Some manufactures were very short lived (a few years). Also of great interest are the many pics of air rifles and pistols that were made in the 1800's. I'm a bit surprised more air gunners have not commented, and that PA has not devoted more press and an area which show sample pages. This book covers pistols, air rifles, even the carnival arcade guns. This is a book to really enjoy when the weather turns ugly, you can't shoot, and have a piping hot coffee in front of you. It's also makes for a very interesting coffee table book for house guests! Trust me, if you have any interest in airguns this is the book to own. The book has hundreds and hundreds of clear photos of RARE airguns from the Robert Beeman Collection (1700's - 1800's and 1900- present, DOMESTIC and FOREIGN companies.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe book?...Not one thing! PA should promote this book by showing a few pages inside and drum up more interest. The price is very fair in my estimation for the quality and completeness of the subject matter. For the price of 3 tins of pellets (which come and go :-) --- you get a permanent addition to you gun collection!
What Others Should KnowVERY INPORTANTLY... This book evaluates all of the guns and show in great detail what to look for in the condition of the gun you are considering, the value for each condition, and has a section which shows what normal wear looks like all in a percentage format. One gun may be worth $500.00 at 100% but only $200 at 40%. IF NOTHING ELSE, if you peruse any of the classifieds, i.e., American Airgun and, Yellow Ads you will see if someone has overpriced their sale price. Unless the Blue Books prices are outdated, I have seen some airguns offered in a classified ad that are many hundreds of dollars higher than what is listed in the book. This book will help you BUY SMART.
Easy to use with a large amount of information.
Things I Would Have ChangedPrice is a little high, but worth it.
What Others Should KnowIf you are into airguns you need this book.
I purchase this edition to keep my collection complete. There is a lot of information to consume in this book.
Things I Would Have ChangedAt $34.95 it is a bit expensive but it is a rather limited market so i guess it is what it is.
What Others Should KnowNice source for buying older air guns.

First the SIZE, this is a book and only contains information on past and current airguns. I enjoy the Gaylord Reports pages. I have the eleventh issue.
Things I Would Have ChangedNotify me when the thirteenth issue comes available. Otherwise nothing.
What Others Should KnowIf an air gunner owns two or more airguns, this book is a must have.
