Description

Steel BBs can ricochet. The shooter and everyone in the shooting area should wear safety glasses when a gun is being handled (even if it's unloaded). Remember to remove all pets from the area, as rebounding ammo can hit them, too. Never shoot steel BBs at hard objects (including metal targets) or water, as that increases the chance of ricochet.

Only 500 were made. Sorry, but you cannot request a specific serial number.

When you hold this limited edition WWII 1911 US Army Commemorative CO2 pistol, you'll be reminded of the firearm it copies and how it's earned its place in history as the most popular handgun ever made and the freedom it brought to many countries.

Our CO2 replica isn't suited for battle -- except for taming rogue tin cans, reigning in unruly dandelion puffs, knocking back recalcitrant reactive targets and making holes in bullseye targets beggin' for a hit!

Every time you handle this pistol, you'll marvel at the aged finish and remember that men and women in service to America repeatedly drew and holstered their handguns in defense of freedom.

Own a piece of history and get one of these Commemorative 1911 US Army CO2 replica pistols. This is a VERY limited run. Once these are gone, there won't be more. Act now or miss out!

Great feel. I shot the real thing for many years. Accurate, realistic in all the ways the gun is advertised. Loads of fun. Fair price, but I purchased mine when Pyramyd had them on sale for $99.00

Nothing for the price, I also bought the commemorative version. They shoot equally well. This is a great weapon to shoot. Learning to load the magazine is a bit slow, but again well worth the end result.

If you have never purchased a blowback weapon, just be aware a significant volume of your CO2 gas goes to the cool blowback option. But well worth it. If you get this pistol, better buy the 25 pack of CO2 cause you'll be doing a lot of shooting. Pyramyd Air did warn me not to leave the pistol charged even overnight, or the seals may be damaged. Good to know cause that was not mentioned in the owner's manual. This is a GREAT shooting pistol. Ask your US Army veteran friends if they were ever issued the 1911 .45 Cal pistol. If they say, "yes", get them one of these and they will thank you many times over! Guaranteed! It would make a fantastic gift.

The gun is very realistic. The worn look is authentic. It has a good kick from the blowback. Didn't shoot alot of rounds, but grouping was tight and accurate (for BBs). It was outside my normal budget, but had to have it as a collector.

For the price, wood grips would have been nice to make it more authentic, but it's still nice. The combo clip. It's a neat idea, but it doesn't allow for extra BB clips (separate from the CO2 cylinder), so reloading is a slow process. Also tried a speed loader, but haven't perfected that process yet, if that is even possible (BBs flew everywhere - had to push plunger very slowly)

says US Army on one side and has the Marines raising the Flag on IWO Jima on the other (just information)

All excellents. I like just about everything about it. Very accurate replica of a 1911. I have a real Colt 1911, and side by side, by appearance, it's hard to tell the difference. Can't find any other non 1911 "historic" BB pistols that are as realistic.

Would get rid of the markings on the safety and the red dot, although I realize it's like this for safety and liability reasons. An extra magazine would be nice too. Engraved serial# also.

This pistol is so realistic, that I'm not even interested in shooting it. Just handling it is enough. Glad I jumped on the email offer from Pyramyd when it became available.

Since I don't own any firearms, I prefer pistols that are close replicas of actual firearms like this Colt World War II Commemorative 1911. I particularly like that this gun is a blowback BB 1911 replica pistol unlike the Colt Government 1911 A1 pellet pistol. Although the sights are fixed, the pistol's accuracy with the sights is on-target unlike some other pistols with fixed sights that hit significantly off-target without aim compensation of some kind. Shot group sizes were what I consider typical for a reasonably accurate BB pistol ranging from a low of 3/4" (Copperhead) to a high of 2 1/2" (Firepower Gold).

I wouldn't change anything except perhaps for the finish of some of the internal working parts. The safety switch beside the hammer would not move into the safe position with the hammer up until after some initial usage. The trigger at times feels like it's getting stuck on another internal part before finally slipping free and firing the pistol. Other times the trigger does not get stuck and pulls back very easily.

The BBs shot were Crosman Copperhead, Umarex, Daisy Avanti, Firepower Gold, Marksman, and Cybergun / Swiss Arms. Ten shot groups were shot from a bench rested position at a distance of about 5 meters. Total good power shot count is about 50 using either Crosman or Umarex CO2. An additional 5 to 7 shots may be possible, but the CO2 power drops off rapidly after 50 shots.

At what distance were your group sizes obtained?

The feel and heft of this pistol makes it just like the 1911A1. In the dark it would be hard to tell the difference if not impossible. Visually very realistic.

I would change the factory effort to make the pistol as if it had been carried and used to a new, as issued condition as it is a Commemorative pistol probably to be used mostly for display. I have a second one on back order for a friend who is a WWII buff.

As typical, it eats CO2 cylinders pretty quickly which is typically why I do not usually buy CO2 guns of any kind but this is a Commemorative piece that will be on display 99+% of the time. Accuracy is about what you would expect for a BB gun with smooth bore. Trigger pull feels pretty good - better than a WWII Remington M1911AI that I have.

Great feel and weight. Impressive recoil. Looks and handles just like the original. A great pleasure to shoot and own. Have not hat the chance to shoot the gun for accuracy yet. Expect the sights and smooth barrel will produce only average groups, however, the fun of shooting this gun will certainly make up for poor to average accuracy results. Would certainly recommend the purchase of this air gun. What a hoot to shoot!

Nothing. Works perfectly as is.

Get one or one like it (non-commemorative types also available) and have a great time.

look. feel. weight. realistic functions. Especially the blowback with the way it locks open after the last shot. I have an original 1911 made in 1914 and if you put them side by side it is pretty hard to tell apart, minus the markings on the slide. VERY realistic looking, functioning bb gun.

seems a little award to load. some kind of lockdown for the loading spring ( or a notch)anything that will let you let go so you can load the bb's would be nice like on other models. I wish it would come with an extra clip.. it would be more fun to just run off a clip then change clips and keep going. The co2 doesn't last very long.. but it is SO MUCH FUN TO SHOOT! it goes fast. comes in a nice cardboard box, however at the cost you would expect a nice plastic or hard case.

This bb gun is very realistic in weight feel and function. IF you lay it down to a real model 1911 and turn out the lights, you will not be able to tell difference unless you pull the clip and feel the bullets or bbs. It is realistic enough to get you killed if you point it at somebody that is for sure. Buy lots of co2!if you buy this gun, however I think they are already out of stock. I like the commemorative aspect of it. I will be looking for others now. Great gun. Honestly, a pretty good buy.
