FAS 6004 Pellet Pistol

Great grip, easy to cock. Overall very good build quality, no plastic parts at all.

Rear site is terrible for a target gun. No click adjustments, just a mushy feeling screw. On mine the elevation would change when adjusting the windage! Finally used a digital calipers to measure the distance moved and got results.

Not what I expected for a gun at this price point.

Build, fit and finish superb. Same for ergonomics.

I could not get the gun zeroed at 10 meters. I cleaned the barrel right out of the box. Shot off hand first and was disappointed at my 6 inch patterns. I hand selected and lightly oiled some fresh pellets and shot 10 meters from bench rest. Same problem. I cleaned barrel again and shot dry hand selected pellets. Ditto performance.

Thank goodness for Pyramid's return policy.

Quality is top rate, the ambi walnut grip is spectacular, just a joy to plink in the back yard and 10m target. It doesnt get better than this pistol unless you spend 4 times the money.

Advertised 400fps should realistically be 370 with 7 grain pellets.

Stick with 7 grain or less pellets. This pistol loves the RWS match premium 7.0 grains. Oil your walnut grip to get all of that beautiful grain to pop!

the grip, such a nice gun to hold, great finish, nice trigger, the sights are excellent. This is my favorite gun to target shoot with, all day long, easy to cock and the breech is open and easy to load by hand. A fun, accurate, quiet and beautiful gun to shoot.

only three things it leaves me wanting, one is a wish list item. Firstly, the adjustment screws for the trigger seem to be a little too easy to spin, could be my own misgivings, but i added a dot of thread lock to them to make them stiffen up a little. Secondly, the breech o ring is kinda loose in there, when you open the gun it sometimes lifts a little and you need to reseat it with your finger, usually you do that anyways while you load a pellet in (they do provide a spare o ring with the gun, which is nice), jsut feels like that o ring should stay in place better like my HW30s does. Lastly, it would have been great if Chiappa machined a dovetail groove down the top of the barrel to allow for a optic. I love the looks of this gun, and would probably not be able to bring myself to muddle it up with an optic on top, but it's accuracy certainly could merit it. But as it is a lower fps, target pistol i can see why they didn't bother. All the same, it seems a simple enough thing to do.

I've seen people say you cannot load this with a pell pen, you can, in a manner. You can use a pell pen to place the pellet in the breech, but you still have to seat it with your finger. I like doing it this way, faster than rummaging in the tin.
