If you’re a fan of everything Glock, you’ll definitely want to add this officially licensed, ultra-realistic CO2 blowback airsoft pistol to your arsenal.
Introducing the Glock 17 Gen4 6mm airsoft pistol from the Umarex Elite Force line. It’s got similar dimensions, heft, feel and controls to the centerfire pistol it so faithfully duplicates. From its functioning Glock trigger safety, magazine release and slide lock to the authentic Glock markings throughout its polymer frame and full-metal slide, this replica is almost identical to its firearm inspiration in every way.
But this CO2 airsoft pistol’s authenticity doesn’t stop at its looks. With each pull of the trigger, the Umarex G17 Gen4 produces enough recoil to rival that of some rimfire pistols. Its full blowback action sends the metal slide backward between each shot as the next one is chambered. And, once the last shot is sent downrange, the slide locks back, indicating it’s time to reload.
Whether you’re looking for a new sidearm as a backup for your MilSim ops/skirmishes, need a lifelike trainer for maintaining firearm proficiency away from the range or just want a fun-to-shoot replica for punching holes in paper, this Glock G17 Gen4 CO2 airsoft gun from Umarex is the perfect pistol for the job.

I am an avid shooter and this is so close to my real Glock 17. This affords me The most important factor in firearms training keeping the muscle memory in place and practicing target acquisition practice trigger reset has been a real plus.
Things I would have changed:The screw cap going over the CO2 cylinder should not be hollow. This designed makes it difficult to line up the threads using a hex key screwing on back plate as to hold CO2 in position very difficult to realign and start threats engagement for securing. The screw plate should not be hollow. There should be something stopping the hex key from going all the way through as it makes it very difficult to reattach end cap over CO2. Other then that everything else is a great design but this is a total screwup. It takes quite a bit of time to re-attach retention cap over CO2.
What others should know:If youre looking for a simulated practice type 17 this is it. In hand feels identical to my real 17. Very reliable blow back, locking slide, trigger reset, magazine release, slide release, take down identical. Very well thought out. Stout design. Very impressed with the workmanship form fit and function of this amazing 17. I have another 17 clone in a BB style but honestly sucks this is way better design. I had to wait several months for the restock but worth every second. You will not be disappointed with this. One last thought my accuracy, follow up shots, double tap consistency with my real 17 has increased tremendously by using this as a practice tool.

I bought this pistol wanting a replica gun which I think I got, save the trigger. This is my first experience with a airsoft weapon so I don't know how others compare. My out of box pistol has worked fine with it's components, I like the way it feels, I like the blowback response and it operates well; note it's a CO2 version.
Things I would have changed:As of now my experience with this product is more frustration than happy. I think Umerex is not paying attention to the manufacture of their product. My first big issue occurred when I bought a second magazine, this one 23 Rnds as apposed to the 17 rrnd mag that came came with it. It failed to work! A manufacturing flaw IMO, it wouldn't seat or it wouldn't load the chamber (it was to tall when set). A replacement also failed. Also, I have to totally agree with an earlier review, getting the CO2 cartridge seat screw to thread is a total pain, I end up fiddling with it a while before the threads line up and I can tighten it down. Also, the clip is a staggered load and the BBs don't fell in line when loading it. Finally, you have to have a separate tool to remove the bottom clip cover (a push point) to open the mag if you use it (I don't anymore); the allen wrench provided for the CO2 cartridge is to large.
What others should know:All in all I'm disappointed with the gun; mostly on its operation and I think manufacturing oversight and production has fallen out of line perhaps due to the pandemic. I'd look more into what the airsoft people like to make a purchase and if you really want to get a replica pistol for something you use I'd still recommend to talk to an airsoft company. I think this gun is becoming dated and there is a better option at the end of some homework.
