3 of 3 H&N .25 Cal, Round Lead Reviews
impressive accuracy. i got the only due to i have a habit og putting in 3-5 pellets and use my condor as a shotgun on some alive targets, theese where to tight to put in more than one, not any reason to complain tight fitting is always good.
Things I Would Have Changedscrew on lid .
What Others Should Knowif you want to have deep penetrating and accurate ballls theese are great.
The weight on these was very consistent - I just measured .4 grain variation for 10 (1.7%; average was 23.7gr). Accuracy was excellent from a Webley Patriot - .34" c-t-c for three shots at 35 yards. No lead or graphite dust after handling them.
Things I Would Have ChangedThreaded lid; it comes off too easily. These were also a tight fit in the barrel of my Patriot; I had to use a knife handle to seat them fully.
What Others Should KnowWorth trying for something different; the quality seems to be the usual high level from H&N. They should work well for hunting.

A special round for special purposes. I fire these out of a BSA Lonestar .25 with standard twist rifleing, so accuracy isn't all that good. I think a smoothbore rifle would be better. I get 3" groups at 50 yards, so they are most useful well inside that range.
Things I Would Have ChangedThese are very good for what they are, but a bit pricey. Increase the number per tin by going to a larger standard size tin and get the price per round more inline with standard Diabolo pellets.
What Others Should KnowThese are a hard penetrator type pellet bette suited to close range work in my rifle. They are hard to seat in the chamber, so I added a big soft rubber pad to the back of my bolt to save my thumb. I may just use these 3 at a time for a bit of a shotgun effect at close range, as my rifle has enough power to do such things. It's thus fairly equivalent to three 00 buckshot pellets hitting an animal, enough to do major damage if they all hit.
