6 different pellets to try out.
Things I Would Have Changednothing
What Others Should Knowonly the baracuda power and crow magnums did not shoot well at 15yds in my Gamo Big Cat 1250. To my surprise the lightest pellet the FTT green shot the tightest group, all one hole that can be covered with a third of a dime!
Good way to try out pellets I can't find locally so I can see which ones agree with my guns.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing. Got just what I paid for.
Loved the variety and getting to try them before i bought a whole tin
Nothing
Things I Would Have ChangedRefund
What Others Should KnowThe Silver Points would not even fit in my TX200.Pyramyd Air rep.said no refund because they had been opened,,,Go figure!!
I like the concept of sampler packs. It gives me the chance to try various pellets without buying a full tin of each. The pellets were very consistent. I have noted no bent or deformed pellets. The packaging in the individual tubes is great. I did label each tube using freezer tape to prevent mixing them up.
Things I Would Have ChangedI believe that this H&N sampler to be way over priced. The average cost per pellet is 7 cents which is about twice the average cost pellet when compared to purchasing tins. Cut the price in half and this would be the top sampler on the market. I would like to see more of each type of pellet included to give me a chance to try not only different pellets but to try them in different guns.
What Others Should KnowSee above.
Nice assortment to evaluate the characteristics of these pellets.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot much, but more pellets for the money would be nice.
What Others Should KnowShooting indoors with my new Prowler sighted in with aim point 1 1/8" above impact point, the tightest groups were the Baracuda Hunter and FTT Green with 3/16". The FTT Green gave me 71db and was only one measured since it was clearly the speed winner, and hit 1/2" higher than the other groups. The FTT was 1/4", Crow Mag. was 5/16", Silver Pt. with 3/8", and sadly the Baracuda Pwr. was worst with an 11/16" spread. Tight until the 3rd shot, and all shot from a rest.
Great selection of pellets to zero in on the right one for your gun . Putting the pellets in vials makes it easy to use and select
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowBuying a sample group is wise if you are not sure which pellet to use, especially with a new gun. Buying a new gun? Buy a sampler too !
Variety of sizes and weights. The tubes would be great for carrying a small amount of pellets out hunting or wherever.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would label the individual bottles. This is pretty ridiculous how easy it would be to have a bunch of pellets and not know any of the weights and sizes.
What Others Should KnowBe careful when opening, easy to miix up. I cut the size, weight and name labels off the package and scotch taped them on the tubes.
Just getting into this sport with a Benjamin Marauder and wanted to try different ammo without having to buy full tins.
Things I Would Have Changedlabels on each tube but sharpie made quick work of that.

Ughh--pretty much nothing. Oh yeah--I guess the lids stay on tight but I really don't care if they all spill out on the ground. I would not even bother to pick them up!
Things I Would Have ChangedActually sort or manufacture the pellets by head size so they make a difference in my LGV, just like the smaller (4.51mm) head size JSBs and Air Arms pellets do. (My LGV definitely shoots the smaller head size better in those brands but the stated head size of these H&Ns makes no difference between these H&N pellets at all--they all shoot equally poorly!
What Others Should KnowThis assortment proved to be a complete waste of my money and time. I don't have a pellet gauge but I can easily differentiate between the different packaged head sizes of Air Arms and JSB pellets and those brand's dimensions correlate with their tin labels. Sadly, this is not so with this H&N assortment. Based on the low quality of the pellets I received in my assortment, I don't think H&N has dies with consistent dimensions nor did H&N appear to sort these pellets at all! There is a ton of variation from one pellet to the next in each vial and the average head sizes don't correlate with the labeling on the package either. Furthermore, in at least the case of the FTTs, the heads are not at all round, which would defeat dimensional sorting using a pellet gauge entirely. At least I can average several readings on the same pellet with a micrometer but the numbers only reveal a very poor quality product!
