The 1911 remains one of the most iconic pistols of our time and continues to be a source of inspiration for manufacturers wanting to give airgunners a 1911 shooting experience without the cost of traditional ammunition. Now Hatsan has crafted their own 1911 version, the H-1911, a rare 1911 pellet pistol, with one of the more forward-thinking pellet loading systems available, made better still by an affordable price point.

Loading and shooting your H-1911 is where the real innovation comes in, with dual side by side 6+6 rotary magazines. To use the mag remove the dual rotary clip, load up your pellets, load your CO2, and reinsert the clip back into the magazine. Shoot your 6rd mag, eject the cartridge, turn the clip holder 180 degrees, and shoot the last 6 rounds. Although a non-blowback model, this results in the H-1911 getting as many as 60 shots per CO2 cartridge.

The H-1911 includes a double-action trigger, and uses the front and rear sights of early 1911-A1 Models with synthetic modern G-10 style grips. All the features round out to a 1911 that’s going to give fans an affordable option for backyard shooting sessions.

Things I liked:

The Grips, the sights and the over all look

Things I would have changed:

The Co2 and pellet loading system. Hatsan should take a closer look at how Sig (Umarex) does it with the P226 and P230. The finger rest broke off when I tried to remove the magazine do to the C02 not fitting correctly, it require so much force it broke off and cut my finger on the burr that was left behind..

What others should know:

Be VERY careful aligning the CO2 in the magazine, meaning KEEP IT Centered.

I would love to return it. I just ordered a better one. Remember, cheap is not a good reason.

  • joseph. c from USA asked:

Could you load the magazine without taking it off the co2 holder or do you have to take it off every twelve shots thanks

    • Steve from USA answered:

You do not have to remove it to reload it. Maybe if you have large fingers but otherwise no.

    • Tyler Patner from USA answered:

You would have to take it off of the holder every time

  • GARY from USA asked:

    loud?

    • Steve from USA answered:

      It's not bad for co2. Rated at a 2

    • Tyler Patner from USA answered:

Generally most CO2 pistols are backyard friendly, but they're not really quiet
