The adjustable cheek rest is very hehlpful. The polymer stock seems very solid and the heavy rubber plate makes the gun stable while cocking it. The scope it came with took work to sight in at 25 yards. Once sighted in, the accuracy was outstanding, especially with 14.3 gr Benjamin hollow point hunting bullets. I was able to hit shards of broken clay pigeons about an inch in size with ease. The built in suppressor works well. If you shoot it without hearing protection its far from silent, but wont cause hearing damage. Overall value for the money is excellent! Its a really nice gun.

I would not change a thing. A better scope might come in handy for shooting longer distances, but the scope that came with the gun functions well at 25 yards.

Cocking the gun gets a bit easier after it gets some use. The first ten or 15 times the gun is cocked the mechanism was very stiff.

The Crossman Benjamin 14.3 gr hunting pellets were more consistently accurate than thr H&N Field Target Trophy 14.66 gr.

Accuracy. Fit. Weight. The rifle just plops them in there shot after shot. Good to 35 yards.

Trigger could be set lighter by you or the factory but I understand the lawyer problem. Scope was not even mounted. I used a 2-7 Vortex I had instead.

Get out your muscles. I an older and had to use two arms to cock it.
If the gas ram holds up, it should be a good buy.

With a minor adjustment to the sites the rifle was accurate. I did not use the worthless scope

Include a better scope with adjustable optics OR no scope at all

This is the second Hatsan 87 I have had as the first one the gas piston lost gas and no longer worked. Both guns wee very accurate out of the box with minor adjustments Pyramid air has the best delivered price for the the gun and had fast shipping.

This is my second air rifle I have purchased, by first is a Gamo Whisper in .177 which I purchased over 3 yrs ago. I been looking for one in 22 cal. and decided after reading review to purchase this Hatsan 87 QE. It is a little on the heavy side, but I can handle that. I wanted something with a little more punch to take down woodpecker which are a problem up here, and it does the job. The .177 doe not do a very good job. Out of the box it was well oiled and all the screws were tight, not much for the cheek rest, I can take it or leave it. Other than that I'm impressed the the rifle.

The one thing I would change is either it come's with or without a scope for a lower price. I did mount the scope but was not to impressed with it, eye relief was one. I did order the same scope I installed on my Gamo after going threw 4 scopes when I purchased it. Also used UTG 1pc High Profile Airgun Mount with Stop Pin and installed on my Hatsan 87, it is not an expensive scope but has work great for me, keeps zero with more than 1500 rounds threw it.

I'm still experimenting with pellets, but the 14.3 seem to work good with this rifle.

I like the cost and accuracy of this gun and it is fairly quiet.

I change the scope out the one that comes on it is junk.

Mine seems to like pellets in the 14 grain range and if you go with a more compact scope you will need a offset scope mount to move it back farther.

I got a lemon and there is nothing about it to like.

I bought this rifle from Pyramyd in February, 2018 along with a Leaper's scope. The barrel on the rifle I received was tilted up enough that neither the scope that came with it nor the Leaper's had enough elevation to get the rifle on paper at 15 yards. I should have sent it back immediately, but about that time, a feral cat set up residence in my backyard and proceeded to eliminate my pigeon problem for me. So, I put the rifle on my Tipton vise so I could shim the scope, then forgot about it. This week a friendly stray who'd showed up over the winter got very sick. By the time I found it, it was dying of severe respiratory disease. I ran in the house to grab the Hatsan to put it out of its misery, but while the Hatsan lay undisturbed, the piston failed. When I tried to fire it, there was a twangy, rubber-bandish sound, but no air moved down the barrel. Hatsan quoted me 189.95 for a barrel and piston, which is more than I paid for it. It's going in the trash.

It's about as heavy as my 30-06 Spr. and it's loud. If you live in a city it's not neighbor friendly. I'll get a replacement from Pyramyd since they were so helpful with scope selection and prompt with everything they shipped.

Excellent trigger! An adjustable cheek-piece is excellent! Great fiber sights! Hard-hitting .22 cal! A value rifle under $180 dollars!

Nothing

RWS Superdome and Gamo Red Fire are all I shoot! I test pellets at 10 yards for accuracy! Then use my mil-dot for farther yardages! Killed 17 squirrels this season out to 35 yards! This rifle is a stone-cold killer!

First off I just received this gun yesterday from PA. I have put over 200 rounds through it already and have found it to be deadly accurate. I had PA do the 20 for 20 including mounting a UTG Bug Buster 3-9x32AO scope. They did an awesome job and it was a tack driver at the 10 yds they sighted it in at. It took 6 rounds to adjust it out to 30 yards and it is scary accurate. It is a little heavy but I'm 67 years old and have a bad shoulder and I can still handle it. Just for trial I shot 3 pigeons that were 58 yards away (according to my range finder). I dropped them dead in their tracks. The stock is better than I was expecting. You don't have to worry about messing it up if you take in the woods. I have a Gamo Bone Collector Hunter (the single shot) and I'm afraid to scratch that beautiful stock. I can very easily see this becoming one of my top picks for taking out pests. Where I live there are a lot of pigeons that had better get their affairs in order cause their days are limited.

I won't bother with the obvious that everyone says when buying any rifle/scope combo. We all know they are simply freebies. So let's get over it. It is a little stiff and tight when cocking but that'll loosen up in time. So I really wouldn't change anything, other than the obvious.

Just know that like all air rifles there is a breaking in time. Your gonna go through a period of transition until one day everything is gonna come together and you'll realize you really did make the right choice. I highly suggest you buy this rifle with a good scope and have PA mount it and do the 20/20 on it. It's worth every dollar knowing you won't get a lemon and have to go through all the frustration of sending it back for repair or replacement. Your gonna love this gun. It's a power house, mine is a 22 cal and do the job on everything I need to shoot here in South Texas. Not to mention the price awesome.

Very good air gun for the price. Excellent customer service.

Scope is OK but I should have inquired about purchasing an upgraded scope.
