This Airmax riflescope from Hawke Sport Optics is equipped with a convenient side focus control allowing you to make quick and easy adjustments.
This Hawke Sport Optics scope has a mono-tube 30mm chassis providing all the added stability you could ever need for the punishing recoil of magnum airguns. It has a convenient side-focus parallax wheel in addition to a 4 inch sidewheel for easier adjustments.
The AMX etched glass reticle provides even more accuracy from your gun and is based on the 10x half Mil Dot spacing that is popular with other airgunner optics. This reticle features additional windage bars on the lower Mil Dots offering increased aim points for longer range shots. In addition to the crisp etched reticle, the red illumination control bypasses the more common switch for a stepless rheostat. In ambient light conditions, it's a much more flexible way to customize the illumination level to your shooting needs. If you prefer the solid black reticle, simply turn off the illumination.
The fully multi-coated lenses are waterproof, shockproof, and nitrogen filled for the best possible light transmission.

10 of 16 Hawke Airmax 30 SF 6-24x50 Reviews
The look, the features, ease of use, easy to install, great for my Hatsan AT-44 .177 Clear glass, high magnification, dials in instantly. High quality feel, metal dust covers that even feel quality when lifting.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot sure yet, if anything.
What Others Should KnowI use this for my .177 Hatsan AT-44 and it matches perfectly. I may get another one for my HW100, not sure. Either way, this is the first REAL scope I own. I own many other Hawkes, Monstrum, Bushnell, etc. but this is the first over $350 scope I've ever owned and now I see the appeal ! It makes my AT-44 even MORE of a laser !
Excellent bright optics. Flat field edge to edge. Good eye relief even at 23X. Also liked the flip up scope lens covers and the extended sun shield. Gives a good high contrast view.
Things I Would Have ChangedIncluded wrenches to adjust scope lens covers could be expanded to better fit the retaining rings slot.
What Others Should KnowI using this scope on another rifle and liked very much so got another for my FX Impact.
Very well made scope, tools included.
Things I Would Have ChangedAny way to make it lighter?
What Others Should KnowControls are very stiff when new.
Clear, holds zero (on pcp), repeatable elevation changes, locking resetable turrets. Great in low light.
Things I Would Have ChangedI just recently ran into an issue with the scope. Now that i am pushing longer ranges cant angles are becoming more of an issue. The way this scope is designed there is no easy way of adding a anticant bubble level to it. Ideally as a right handed shooter my open left eye reads parallax correction and would also read the bubble level. If the oversized parallax wheel doesn't get in the way, the off center illumination control does. I have tried 3 different styles of levels 2 scope tube mounted, one rail, none work. I will have to try something custom.
What Others Should KnowBest scope i own, and for once in my life if i miss a shot i blame my self first and not even consider my scope as a target for blame.
Excellent Build Quality, Great Optics, Great Reticle, Included Sidewheel and Sunshade, Quality Flip-Up Caps, Hawke Warranty, Excellent Ranging for Field Target, Fairly Forgiving Eyebox
Things I Would Have ChangedI wish it had a locking ocular like the Sidewinder Scopes
What Others Should KnowI have been using this scope for 2 seasons of Hunter Class Field Target. I mainly use the scope at 16X because of this. I have been on the search for the holy grail of field target scopes for over a year. I have tried numerous scopes from UTG, Athlon, Hawke, Aztec, Vortex, etc. Most of the scopes were within the $400 - $500 range. In this price range, I have this scope to be the best bang for the buck for Hunter Class Field Target, mainly because of the accurate ranging. Although the optical quality may have been better in a couple other scopes, the ranging didn't come close. I liked this scope so much that I recently bought another one for my TX200 MkIII.
Robust, good features,quality build.
Things I Would Have ChangedHalf mils for hold under would be nice.
What Others Should KnowI bought this model for a break barrel as it is not too long and does not interfere with the action and allows good eye relief. I have several Hawke scopes on different air rifles and they all work flawlessly. Hawke customer service is second to none.
The glass is very clear, the turrets work beautifully and accurate. This is the best scope out there for the money. I personally have 8 of them and never had one bit of trouble with any. They have metal screw in dust covers rather then the plastic slip on ones. But this scope and you will be very satisfied.
Things I Would Have ChangedNone
What Others Should KnowYou cant buy a better scope for this price point.
Mine is mounted on an FX Streamline. I hunt at night often and the IR is essential coupled with a good torch. Battery lasts forever! 1 year and I'm on battery two. I only use 10x or 20x with no poi change. I use holdover rather than clicks. Chairgun is spot on. This reticle is already loaded in their software.
Things I Would Have ChangedLarger Retical. Not thicker, just longer.
Good clarity, light gathering capability, and focus from 6x to 24x magnification. Fine reticle does not cover up targets. At 6x the scope is useful in moonlight! Scope works very well with night vision gear at 6x and doesn't require a large amount of external IR light or moonlight. Setting the distance is even more critical when using night vision so you have to constantly adjust as you pan around. Reticle is hard to see against dark background with night vision and even at minimum illumination overpowers IR pickup. 24x magnification requires rifle to bench rested to be useable!
Things I Would Have ChangedExtremely stiff zoom. Don't know if this is because it’s new or it’s just stiff. All most impossible to use when sighting down the scope.
What Others Should KnowFirst scope was a refurbished unit and still defective. Am concerned scope made it out of the factory in such bad shape!

Seems like a nice scope for the money, with or without the sidewinder wheel, turrets and magnification adjustments are really stiff, hopefully they turn easier in the warmer weather, eye relief gets fussy at higher power
Things I Would Have ChangedDon't really care for the turret locks, but would recommend this scope.
What Others Should KnowYou could shoot the ants off a tree at 75 yards lol
