Fast and efficient to load your pellets .
The Pellet Pen and Seater are great for having your pellets in a quiet container when out in the woods. also the seater lets you adjust how far the pellet is seated into the rifling of the barrel. I have used both the .22cal. version and the .177 cal. version, they both work great. the Pellet Seater (.177) could have a little smaller diameter point for those pellets that are a bit small at the skirt. Other than that it works great.Things I would have changed:
As stated above, the seater point that you insert into the back of the pellet to seat it could be a little smaller in diameter at the tip. This would make inserting the point in the pellet easier instead of just spreading the skirt of the pellet out and not pushing the pellet into the breach of the barrel. What others should know:
Feeding pellets as small as the .177 is hard with gloves on and this makes it a piece of cake to do. Just load the pen up while inside where its warm and go out in the cooler weather with your gloves on and don't worry about loosing any pellets to the woods. It seems that the heavier the pellet the thicker the skirt on some pellets. This makes the hollow base smaller in diameter. the seater doesn't go all the way in and stops at the inside of the skirt causing the pellet skirt to expand instead of going into the breach. This problem happens only on a few types of pellets that II have used. I also think I have a small breach on my Crosman Nitro Venom Dusk. Never had that problem with the .22 cal. version.
Its handyThings I would have changed:
should make one for the .22What others should know:
different pellets shoot diferently in same air rifle .
Got a question or answer?
I rec'd it and it looks like it will help with transporting pellets and loading in the field! I don't see how I can get 20 .177 pellets into the loader. I seem to be able to get 15 max in there and have the slide work on the loader?? Gamo Silent Cat 10.5 gr.? Any others with this issue?
I own the .177 pell set. Can you use the .177 lanyard with the .22 pell pen, since I have both caliber rifles?
Could this be used to load and Airforce airgun
Might be kind hard because of the angle ? The breech is not a straight shot?
